Why have we not gotten a Lands of the Linnorm Kings AP yet?

Seriously, nordic myth is one of the hallmarks of all fantasy. Not only that but if it was made around the time Skyrim came out Paizo could have definitely cashed in on the hype from back then. Also there's plenty of lore for LOTLK that can be used for adventures, such as the abundance of fey, Viking politics, and of course eventually ending up with the party becoming kings themselves.

As a long-term Skyrim player, I'm with you. :)

That said, I have my own theory. They're pretty obviously not done with the Runelords. And guess what the LotLK are built on? The ruins of Cyrusian and Edasseril, the nations of two Runelords who haven't so much as stirred yet.

So... that's my theory. If I'm right, we'll see one eventually. ^_^

there's other things to do and see.

One of the best games I've ever been on on these forums was based in the Linnorm Kingdoms so I'd be all for this.

There really are so many directions you could go with this
A kingmaker type game where you strive to carve out a section for yourself in the old way of slaying a Linnorm
An attempt to take back lands from the Winter Witches (Which mixes nicely with the first option)
Reverse that, the Winter Witches break through and our Ulfen heroes must play pretty severe defense if they want to hold on
A civil war of sorts between Kings
The classic ancient mcguffin is found and that which was sleeping is on the move again because of it etc

Jade Regent has an entire module set in Kalsgard and surroundings.

That's not a viking AP.

Because there are only two APs every year, and Paizo cannot cover every possible subject. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would like a Viking AP, but they'll have to wait their turn. Just ask the Galt people (who I hope will have to wait a very long time).

True, but Jade Regent seems about passing through as opposed to being chiefly focused on the Nordic. Then again I haven't played it, only heard about it so maybe I'm being unfair.

I'd be more moved by the "cannot cover every location" argument if we weren't about to get our second and third (back-to-back!) Cheliax APs. I've still got my fingers crossed that we'll get a LoLK-type AP in the near future.

In the meantime, there was this Kickstarter that funded a couple month ago.

Edit: Hey, looks like I can post from work again. :D

True, but at least the entire module is set there.

The AP itself is a travel AP from Avistan to Tian Xia. One module is entirely set in Kalsgard and surroundings.

Notice I said every subject, not every location. Hell's Rebels and Hell's Vengeance are both set in Cheliax, but have very different themes.
