Just to make sure... this card says it's an Ally, and the text at the bottom supports this, but of course it LOOKS like an Item. Is it an Ally or an Item?

They did confirm in the blog where they showed it that it was an ally.

It is an ally. See Tanis looking innocent here for confirmation. I figured it was part of his story, but there is nothing in his meet the iconics blog, and if those if you that are more versed than I in the RPG don't know why, then I've got nothing.
