0-6E Into the Maelstrom -- How did you do?

Pathfinder Adventure Card Society

This is a weird scenario. Interesting, but weird. We never did so much standing around before. The location which enabled you to pull another character to you was essential in moving the right character to fight the right monster/barrier without taking damage from the scenario power.

I kinda dropped that session report because we blew through it so fast that we didn't think about it.

Radillo failed her check to close so we had to wait around for her to finish. We were able to scout the Lightning Elemental/Hurricane Winds to the top of 2 of the decks. Then we waited and closed when the close check was managable.

My Arabundi almost failed a closing check when he needed a 10 and rolled an 8 on four d8s (5,1,1,1). I used my Paizo shirt reroll to reroll a 1 and got a 3. Glad I pulled the shirt out of the laundry.

I felt like this scenario's timer was designed backwards - rather than having the difficulty count down from 30 I'd have rather seen it count up from 0. The point of the game is to ratchet up the tension and difficulty levels as the adventure continues, not to reward mindlessly plowing through to the bottom of decks then standing around waiting to close empty piles.

On the other hand, this does make a nice shopping scenario looking forward into the maw that is 0-6F.

This scenario is pretty much stupendously easy with one character, especially if you get Impossible Bottle into play.

One oddity - it seems to me that you should count as being on a ship for effects that check that. I know in the card game sense that you have no ship, but clearly you are on a ship thematically.

It was nice to have a breather before 0-6F.
