Let's say I'm a Saurian Shaman Druid 6 / Fighter 4.

At 6th level, a saurian shaman’s wild shape ability functions at her druid level –2. If she takes on the form of a reptile or a dinosaur, she instead uses her druid level +2.

Your powers of shapeshifting outstrip your dabbling in the druidic faith.

Prerequisites: Wild shape class feature, Knowledge (nature) 5 ranks.

Benefit: If you are a multiclassed druid, your wild shape ability is calculated as though your druid level were four higher, to a maximum level equal to your character level.

Special: This feat has no effect if you are not a multiclassed druid.

So overall I'm a tenth lvl PC. When I wild shape do I do it as a 10th or 12th level druid?

Your wild shape would be that of 10th level saurian shaman. If you take the form of reptiles or dinosaurs etc. you would be considered a 12th level druid. If you take any other form you would be considered 8th level druid.

Thanks, that's what I thought

I am not sure that works. It becomes an order of operation question as it could be:

A. As a Druid 6/Fighter 4 Saurian Shaman my wild shape is level 8 for saurian or 4 for other forms. If I take Shaping Focus my wild shape increases up to my level, making it level 10 for saurian shapes and level 8 for others.

B. As a Druid 6/Fighter 4 with shaping focus my wild shape for is at level 10, druid 6 + 4 up to my hit dice. My saurian abilities increase my saurian shape to level 12 and reduce my normal shapes to level 8.

In my opinion, given that the saurian ability replaces wild shape and the feat is added on top of that, I would go with A. You get level 10 Saurian wild shape and level 8 on all others.

Consider also this situation:

Druid 8/Fighter 2 with shaping focus:

A. As a Druid 8/Fighter 2 Saurian Shaman my wild shape is level 10 for saurian or 6 for other forms. If I take Shaping Focus my wild shape increases up to my hit dice, making it level 10 for saurian shapes and level 10 for others.

B. As a Druid 8/Fighter 2 with shaping focus my wild shape is at level 10, druid 8 + 2 up to my hit dice. My saurian abilities increase my saurian shape to level 12 and reduce my normal shapes to level 8.

Again I think A. makes more sense from the order of operations. You get wild shape first (modified by your archetype) and take the feat into consideration after you have made those adjustments.

You could, however, argue that B is more likely as (Druid 6 + Anything 4 + Shaping Focus) = (Druid 10). In this case B lines up more with what a level 10 Saurian Shaman gets. (lvl 12 saurian forms and level 8 everything else) which some GMs may find makes more sense.

Shaping focus changes your druid level. Saurian's Wild Shape works on your druid level +/-2.

Saurian's Wild Shape does not say to add/subtract 2 to your druid level for the purposes of it. It says it works at your druid level, then add/subtract 2. So your druid level is still 10. But you add/subtract 2 from your druid level.
