Maneuver Master Caster

Advice

Ok guys. New concept I could use help with. I was thinking about a few oracles and sorcerers I've had. One disarmed people with Pilfering Hand. One grappled with Chain of Perdition. One tripped with Grease. They were lots of fun. It was a blast seeing the frustrated specialist NPC's not able to do what they specialized in and only being half effective. So I was thinking, why not do a maneuver master caster?!?

Many people will say a fighter or monk that specializes in maneuvers is useless too often for it to be a good idea. Not sure I agree with if built intelligently so has secondary capabilities, but regardless. As long as it isn't all your spells know, this would still be a full casting class (with possibly a dip in something else).
So if you're fighting a snake that can't realistically be tripped, disarmed, or grappled. You just use some other spell. So long as you have some generally useful spell known/prepared at each level, you're golden.
The spells I can immediately think of using, either use a standard save DC or an actual maneuver check with caster level and casting stat modifier in place of BaB and strength modifier. Every caster already want to max spell DC, casting stat, and caster level. So no loss there.
The wierd part is that you would probably want to take some of the improved maneuver feats, which is a bit unusual for casters to say the least.

So what spells fit in this concept?
How would you build it?

Has it been done and I missed it? If you've seen it, how did it work.

Battle oracle, but you can choose only 1 maneuver(most people do trip or grapple). Haunted curse for telekenesis to perform any maneuver at range. Alternatively try hexcrafter magus with maneuver mastery on 1 selected maneuver, slumber hex the rest of world. I haven't seen it at work, just thought about it as a thought exercise. Btw snakes can be grappled. No rules against that.

Well they 'can' be but they are one of the tougher ones to grapple for a given CR.

Wizards can take their Arcane Discoveries as feat choices. There an awesome one called Kowledge is Power. That arcane discovery allows you to add INT mod on all combat manuevers and CMD and on checks to bteak objects. Max out your INT & Dex and be a whip magus with a wizard dip.

Is Magus enough of a caster for you? Magus is pretty much built for this.

I actually have a magus that trips and disarms with a whip and a wand of true strike (with the thing that lets them use a wand in place of a spell) to nearly always succeed. It is great.

I was trying to see if it was possible using only the spells not a weapon. Though it might not be possible/effective.

If you're playing with trip and true strike, consider Blade Lash as well. It's only +10 instead of +20, but you get to make the trip attempt as part of casting the spell, and with 20' reach.
With a wand of that, you can almost guarantee a trip, but still get all of your normal attacks.
