Animated Dinosaurs with Class Levels!

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

We shall discuss what dinosaurs fit what classes best, and if it is even viable.

I'm thinking of making a Stegosaurus with class levels in Sorcerer or Cleric, anyone have other ideas?

What the what?

Do you mean awakened dinosaurs?

First thing to note: dinosaurs typically have stats that look like this.

Str: Generally scaled with size.
Dex: Generally inversely scaled with size.
Con: Usually 15-20.
Int: If they can be awakened, it's 3d6.
Wis: Usually 10-15. There are a couple standouts.
Cha: Usually 7-14.

Generally, they're going to wind up being martials, though:

-Velociraptor and deinonychus (14 base Cha) make quite viable sorcerers.
-Diplodocus (17 Wis, but dat size!) and allosaurus (15) would be great choices for cleric or druid.

Tyranosaurus monk.

This suspiciously smacks of saurials.

Yes I did mean Awakened, oops.

The stats seem high to start with, but not really much higher than any rolled stats, with luck.
