Divine bloodrager... Could it work?

Homebrew and House Rules

So, I'm working on a concept for the WotR AP. I really want to play a celestial bloodrager, but I was thinking it would be more thematic and better for my support role (as the 6th PC) to have him learn and cast from the CLERIC spell list rather than the SORCERER spell list. I figured I'd also swap Knowledge (arcane) for Knowledge (religion). I don't see anything else that would need to change for the concept. This would also be nice because the hierophant mythic line is the only line not already filled.

I feel like it's a minor change, but I'm not great at seeing down-the-line consequences. Does that sound fair and viable to you? Are there hidden pitfalls you see in a customization like that?

Well, the armor check penalty with heavy armor and shields is something that should be dealt with.

Maybe remove shield proficiency?

Also, the bonus spell at 7th mighty wanna be changed, since it's easily selected.

It is a great idea, though.

I don't see why it wouldn't work, it's basically the same idea as the Rage Prophet prestige, but with more uniform mechanics, and less spell access.

I'd say it's possible; just pay special attention to 6th lvl casters, and Paladin for efforts in balancing spells from a 9th lvl list, as a 4th lvl list.

Truthfully, I've never found Bloodragers to use the direct damage spells that they receive, and instead focus on buff spells, and utility. Given how the Cleric list is more of THAT then direct damage, it may synergize very strongly
