In the idyllic River Kingdom of Summerrose, Princess Dawn has fallen into a slumber that no magic can break. Convoluted intrigue and fey mischief await as the king assembles a brave band of heroes to solve the mystery and save his daughter before it's too late.
Note: This adventure is roleplay heavy. The age rating is based on the fact that it is absolutely crucial that each player is able to play their own (potentially complex) character independently without ever needing another player for reference or to tell them what to do. If you can do that and are under 16, great! And even if you're over 16, if you can't (or you're signing up with a buddy who can't), please choose a different game.
Hi there Paizocon goers! Ask me anything about this game to help you make your lottery decisions. Later, I will ask the players who win this game in the lottery to join me here for some discussion.
To start: As the note says, you want to play this game if you enjoy fey and roleplaying. There may also be combat, potentially even a good amount of combat, depending on how your investigation goes, but if "there may be combat" is potentially not enough combat for you, this may not be the best choice you could make. Above all, please follow the note and don't sign up for this game with someone who needs you to run their character for them or read and explain their character to them. Other than that, welcome to Summerrose!
Yay for fey! Can't wait to see everyone there.
Looking forward to seeing you there, Thomas! I'll be sending a mysterious questionnaire to everyone in the game in order to pre-select pregens, and then sending you your pregen shortly thereafter. I want you all to have a chance to read them ahead of time and ask me any questions you have.

I'm in for First World Problems! Looking forward to it, and to seeing the "mysterious questionnaire."
My husband and I are excited for this!
Great, that sounds like 4 out of 5 of you so far! If everyone confirms with me that you're not going to trade your spots, I can send out the mysterious questionnaire. It still works out even if someone does trade so don't feel pressured, but it means the person trading in gets the character from the person trading out, since everyone else will already have theirs.
'Twould be insane to trade this! Definitely sticking put.

No, not trading it! Question away!
OK guys, fantastic! I'll try to track down our mysterious 5th player, and in the meantime, I'll e-mail the questionnaire when I get into to the office tomorrow!
So (and I'm still pretty confused about this too) there are legal issues with my sending you the questionnaire before you e-mail me first. So send me an e-mail at my paizo address (it's my first name dot last name @ paizo.com) and I'll get you the questionnaire. Customer Service will also send you a reminder e-mail to that effect, so if you see that and are curious, that's why it's there!
Looks like the Customer Service e-mail just went out to everyone. Sorry that I can't send you the questionnaire unless you send me an e-mail first. It's a policy I didn't know about until recently.
Has everyone else completed their surveys yet? I am anticipating getting to see my character...
Thomas LeBlanc wrote: Has everyone else completed their surveys yet? I am anticipating getting to see my character... I really want to give you guys a while with your characters. So far only you and Al have the surveys back, which isn't enough to assign yet. If Anna and her husband get theirs in and I can't get in contact with the mysterious fifth person, I'm OK with assigning you four and giving the mysterious fifth person the last character. They're all good pregens after all.
/me does the anticipation dance
Many thanks to all 4 of you for getting in your surveys. My super duper survey sorter algorithm depends on a fifth to be guaranteed to produce a single set of results, but Anna, Joe, and Al are circling over single characters, so Thomas, since you were not only first but sitting on the edge of the remaining two, why don't you ping me (I'll be on Paizo chat or send me an e-mail) and I can ask you a few more questions and then hand out all the characters but the last one!
OK gang, if you sent me a questionnaire (AKA, if you are any of the four people who posted in this thread), you should have your character sheet. If you aren't in this game, really want in, and are following this thread, speak up, and maybe you can become an official alternate in case this mysterious fifth person doesn't show up.
Yay character sheet! Pretty complicated, but only noticed a few things wrong so far... By wrong, I mean, OH SO RIGHT!
At least I didn't "Rift opens, everyone dies!" the party...
Rift opens, everyone wins is a most epic way to end the one-shot. Congrats to each and every player for a hugely entertaining run of First World Problems!
We had a blast; thanks for letting us join!
