Yes and yes and fixed! Thanks.

Yes and yes and fixed! Thanks.

You're welcome.

Shades of Yellow looks like it might be another lottery event that was listed as a non-lottery event.

Crafting Circle and Crayon of Vecna I want to attend both. I was gone most of the day and I might be out most of tommorrow but I really want to join both!

In fact I'm hoping to meet Ms. Courts and hopefully meet Mr Christopher Anthony. These are the two people I want to meet most!

Also Question on the Crafting Circle: My Embroidery is done with a Machine not a hand needle and thread. I don't think I want to bring my Embroidery Machine there as it's expensive so what else can I bring if most of my Craftyness is done with the Embroidery and Sewing Machine? I can't knit or crochet.

So am I right in assuming that if I sign up for a seminar, that automatically keeps me from getting into any other events in that timeslot?

Ugh. It's rough having to choose between "try to get into this really cool event, but risk not hitting the seminar" and "get the seminar and give up on the really cool event".

Grand Lodge

KC, Sara Marie has asked that people to not sign up for the non lottery stuff just yet. And if you have already done so, to please take themselves out. Sorry, I was all psyched for them as well. So lottery first, then seminars.

Ah, gotcha.

"Shades of Yellow, Saturday afternoon, 1–6 pm" (Greg Vaughn's game) appears to be set as non-lottery as well.

Also:

Kings of Absalom: Fall's End Saturday–Friday

and:

Paizo & Obsidian Entertainment Sunday afternoon, 2–3 pm • Olympic 2 - 75 seats setup as a lottery event (maybe on purpose?)

and:

Not sure why, but all of Monday's lottery events aren't showing under "Registration: Lottery" flag/filter.

and:

Forbidden Island Friday morning, 11 am–1 pm - not open for signup.

I blame the Doctor for that one. ;)

Okay, either it's been fixed, or it's just cutting off at some point. I see them when Lottery and Monday are selected. I notice when I don't have any filters selected, it cuts off on Saturday Morning (#6-10 Core to be precise).

Edit: Okay, finally saw the "Showing 1-100" part... Maybe should be at the bottom too?

Oop, found another:

The Hidden Tomb of Aka Bakar - Sunday morning, 9 am–1 pm - not open for lottery.

Scarab Sages

Sunday night Grand Ballroom:

Both the Adventure Card Guild playtest and the PFS special are in the Grand Ballroom at the same time. ... umm... the special is too noisy to be in the same room as anything.

wrong room?

With this many potential lottery/non-lottery glitches, it might be a good idea to extend the lottery registration deadline to Tuesday (if possible).

Shades of Yellow should be lottery and now is. Thanks!

Scarab Sages

So far, I've filled out my lottery picks as follows:
4 - six events
3 - nine events
2 - eighteen events
1 - thirty-seven events.
(I'm arriving too late Friday morning for any of the morning sessions, or all four categories would have a few more entries.)

Is this likely to be an effective distribution of scores? Would it be better to have more threes and fours, and fewer ones?

Feel free to come by and sit and chat or observe! Crafting Circle is a low pressure way to meet others who are of the crafty-art type, meeting and connecting with a niche group within the Pathfinder community.

I have someone going through and removing any errant sign ups for non-lottery events right now.

You don't have to bring anything—much of the fun is having a relaxing time to hang out with other crafty folks, see what kinds of things they do, and maybe show off a current project you're working on or a finished object are particularly proud of.

Life permitting, though, we may also have stamping materials for people to try, and potentially spinning materials. And any number of people would be happy to teach you to knit or crochet and recruit you to the cause. :D

Edit: Ninja'd!

Previously the trigger for the lottery was how many people it could fit. I forget the cap but it was something like under 30- 40? people and it was lottery. Over that and it was not. This year, one of the improvements to the back end of PaizoCon event entry was to not use a number to determine lottery or non-lottery, but to use a checkbox. I love the fact that I have more fine-tuned control over what events need to be in the lottery, but clearly Katina and I were not 100% used to having to check the box as we missed some. I've gone through and corrected the ones from your list that needed lottery-ing.

The stuff that should *not* be part of the lottery are:

  • Games we feel are targeted towards beginner gamers and younger kids (7-10-ish years old) . Kids badges do not get to make lottery choices, so we want those games that they are likely to want to be in to allow for open registration so the kid's badges get a chance at them.
  • Events with larger attendance space that are not likely to need to be in the lottery, like the minis painting and live drawing. The room size previously would have been under the lottery cap for attendance, but they don't really need to be in the lottery.
  • Seminars
  • PFS
  • PFACG

Please ignore the quoted comment. For a minute there, I thought the lottery ended today.

Thanks for taking the time to mention which were intentional. And explaining about the kids and ACG
:)

Why the hell are we starting sign ups at midnight?
Don't you know some people have to work early

It wasn't the plan. The plan was to start at 2 pm PST. But, there have been technical difficulties. It happens.

See this thread for an explanation of the issues.

Ok why the hell would you start signup at 2pm, people are still at work.
This will screw people that have a job with no internet access.

Because there's no single time that's convenient for everyone. People from several time zones are coming to Paizocon. A time that's conveniently after work in California is pretty late in Connecticut. Lunch time in Washington, DC, doesn't work very well for people in Washington state. 2:00pm Pacific must have been convenient for the Paizo employees (before everything went sideways).

So, did everything get delayed again? I had everything signed up for about two hours ago and now not so much.

The registration system is down while they work on some bugs. You can find the current status in this thread.
