That is fine, one of the reasons for playing the high lvl characters is to learn this stuff.
Yea, high level play can be different. Even the concept of getting from a to b has issue. For example, as I asked can everyone fly? I know I can in my fused form, but only at a speed of 40. Didn't even think of trying to go faster overland, or in human form.
I do have teleportation circle though...
Hopefully I'm not going too overboard with my RPing of it, but the thing I'm most loving about the epic level of the game is the sheer power of personality that it allows in the characters should you choose. That's how I'm playing up Gallus at least. He's reached level 20, he's the pinnacle of druidic power, the world dances at his whim. He's clearly defeated thousands of enemies before this and these Daughters are simply the next notch on his trophy. While I'm not saying we don't necessarily have to be cautious in our strategies, there has to a certain amount of arrogance present in this many epic level heroes in one place. Worrying about travel and the like is beneath us! One of us will have a way and if not, we'll simply make one!
I say let the arrogance flow! We are gawds amongst NPCs, let us show them our might! In other words, yes I enjoy it.

Just a heads up. Starting Weds I will be on vacation. For a few days at least, I will be driving about 10 hours a day and only able to post very late at night pst. So if you don't hear from me for long periods, that's why.
We will be staying at hotels with wifi, so I will check in as soon as I can after arrival each night.
This sort of schedule is likely to last about 13 days (we return on June 13th, so just giving a heads up -
DM - feel free to bot my character in combat if I don't post quickly enough to keep things moving along.

Just a heads up that this weekend I will be attending a local anime convention to chaperone my youngest sister. My ability to post will be spotty.
Sorry - driving 12 hours a day means no posting until we arrive at our hotel for the night. I don't have wifi in my car. I will be able to post a little more actively starting on Sunday when we board ship. Until then I will be in and out of hotels and a wedding party so will post when I can.
I only have a desktop, and my monitor is a 32' TV, so I'm not lugging that around to a convention. And it's local anyway (15 minutes from my house) so moot point on that. I'll just be spending most of the day at the convention itself, meaning I'd be posting from my phone at best while I'm there. That's why I said spotty and not unavailable.

Heres how PBP works. I give you the situation, and you give me your response. I give private messages to those who have information the rest of the party does not have yet, for instance if someone scouts ahead. I hope/expect that member will relay that information in character to the rest. I am not excluding anyone or preventing anyone from posting, if anything I am starting to wonder if I should even continue with the low posts I am getting.
I've just been waiting to see what our scouts report back with. If it would help get things moving, I'll happily move up to join the rest of the party. Didn't want to force it.

Figured I'd move this over here. Do people have an idea of what they're going to play for their level 1's? I was thinking along the same lines as Lily, playing a character that would be an "atypical" decedent of a Druid. Still wanted to try to maintain some party cohesion maybe.
I've been having ideas for that as well. The one thing I would like is between the eidolon Meridoath to have some impact on the new character. The ideas I was having were: Another summoner (not necessarily synthesist, probably standard), bladebound magus (Meridoath's soul is fused into the blackblade), a witch (with Meridoath as the patron), or an oracle where Meridoath plays a key role (haunted curse maybe).
If anyone has any thoughts, I'd love to hear them.

To answer some questions, the first levels will start in Absolam as part of the faction known as the Rift Wardens. They are described briefly in the Inner Sea World Guide pg 261, though I will flesh them out more in the campaign tab.
If you do not want to participate in the 1st lvl campaign that is ok I understand, and will seek a replacement for you, though I may retain the concept of your character to be the ancestor for the new player.
Hmm... not really sure what I want to play, yet. Maybe an Abjurer, though a non-spellcaster might be more interesting, so that the arcane talent can slowly awaken.
I'll be away for the weekend, so I'll think about it.
