Looking for advice on rebuilding a Magus for PFS.

I am looking for some advice on rebuilding my Magus for PFS. I haven't played since late 2012 and as of now I don't have my sheets. I made him a Dual Talent Human Str Magus 8(2/3xp) before. I talked to the local VL and he went over my reported sessions. So far he said I currently have 42 Prestige/Fame and around 44,000 gold to spend. How should I go about rebuilding and reequipping him?

Dual Talent STR Magus is still a very good choice. It has its own benefits over DEX Magus.

If you're already at level 8 I'd stay building for Str. Medium armor access and all that.

Hexcrafter is a solid archetype if you're interested in something other than straight Magus.

Rapier is probably the weapon of choice if you want to use Flamboyant Arcana and Arcane Deed: Precise Strike (which gives you +level to damage). If you've got something else to do with your arcanas, scimitar and katana are marginally superior options (katana only if you go Kensai).

If you're willing to burn a feat on Extra Arcana, or just don't want Precise Strike, Arcane Accuracy is a very good generic option.
