Sorcerer bloodlines that are still needed

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I find it strange that after 5 years we still have not seen Sorcerer bloodlines for Giants, Axiomatic/Law, Vampires, and Lycanthropes.

I would also like to see ones for Phoenix, Couatl, Unicorn, Qlippoth, Azata, Agathion, Beast, Psychic, and Golems/Constructs.

I would like to see more class based ones like they did for Arcane and Maestro, such as one based on Witch, Cleric/Oracle, Druid/Hunter, Alchemist, Shaman, Monk, etc.

The Orc bloodline was interesting but what about a Dwarf, Elf, Lashunta, Catfolk, Goblin, etc. bloodlines.

Why there isn't a Lyanthrope based Sorcerer Bloodline I don't know. It would be cool, especially if it gave some ability that made a melee based beastmorpher worthwhile.

There's a 3rd party Vampiric Bloodline which looks decent, besides the Vampiric Touch ability being so very clunky ("Your lsam causes bleed, which works as the spell. Except not as the spell at all in fact. OOOOOH!").

Likewise there are two 3PP Giant Bloodlines that would serve well.

Kitsune focused on summoning. Maybe a wildblood Imperial Dragon option.

Yes wildblood options for Imperial and primal dragons.

A kitsune(9 tailed version as in you gain the benefits of all those extra tail feats through the bloodline) bloodline would be awesome. Also the ability to change into a fox at will as it's 3rd level bloodline ability would be cool.

Yeah, but I meant to say that this is a wish list for non-third party products. Speaking of third party I remember they had bloodlines for the seven deadly sins and the four seasons.

That one exists - the Impossible bloodline from, IIRC, Champions of Balance.

While I'm not sure how it would work as a normal bloodline, I'd personally love to see a Kistune race-specific Sorcerer archetype that, instead of getting a normal bloodline, instead gains the benefit of the various Kitsune feats as it levels up - Kitsune Tails, Fox Shape, etc.

Sanguine wildblood mutation of basic undead bloodline seems to fill vampiric bloodline role.

While it's not needed I'd like to see a bloodline based around alchemy. Probably transmutation based with buffs to go around, and I imagine even a little alchemy can have an effect on your children.

There is a 3rd party source for Linnorms, but I'd like to see it official...

The Impossible bloodline covers neutral outsiders such as Psychopomps and Aeons it has some flavor from Axiomites/Inevitables but lacks powers based on law. It is not a construct/golem based bloodline.

Wildblooded Draconic is Linnorm.

That third-party Vampire one linked is... kind of obnoxiously more powerful than other bloodlines. Wildblooded Undead is supposed to cover that.

I'm... not sure I'd see the point of a Law bloodline unless we got all four elements. Probably just lumped together like the Elementals are.

Giant... personally I'd just Wildblood Orc for that.

Some of the others would be cool though. I'd be a fan of more Outsider ones, though not for every kind of outsider-- they'd get redundant really, really fast.

We have several evil outsider based bloodlines, a few good outsider based ones, one chaos, one neutral but no law based one.

If "several" is "three" and "a few" is "one", then aye.

Most of the outsider-based ones actually are alignment-neutral, insofar as they're genie-based. Of the rest, we have Abyssal/Daemon/Infernal to cover the evil ones, Celestial to cover the good, and... Protean sort of tries to cover Chaos. Thematically it's there, but the powers are kind of miserable a it. Good powers, to be sure, but while Celestial is showing its Good colors starting at the arcana and working down, Protean... doesn't really do anything Chaos-y until level 20.

Interjection Games is soon doing a kickstarter with a full book of bloodlines for bloodragers and sorcerers including a lycanthropy one. So far looking really good with some really unique and fun mechanics and flavor (the jabberwocky bloodline is particularly amusing).

Law bloodline would be probably someone who has axiomite among his ancestors or inevitables tinkering with them.

I don't recall existence of any bloodline that would have sensible affinity toward illusions.

Missing Bloodlines

Metahuman bloodlines. We've got Orc, but not any other meta humans? (Except I guess for kobold, which gets more kobold than before?)

Mime bloodline. We've got one that is the Maestro and focused on talking, why not one on silence?

What about a Cursed bloodline? Would be pretty simple.. It would be an archetype that makes a sorcerer have curses like the oracle.

That would be cool to get Oracle curses.

If you don't mind third party:

Sorcerer Bloodlines
- Ancient, Crystal, Lycanthropic, Martial, Mercane, Musical, Phantasmal, Royal, Sand, Swarm, Time, Toymaker, Xill

Sorcerer Bloodlines 2 - Arachnid, Butterfly, Golden Auroch, Menhir, Oracular, Prismatic, Psychic, Quintessential, Rune, Summoner, Technological, and Witchblooded.

Phantasmal is strong in illusions, while the quintessential bloodline offers some talent with crafting and magic items. The oracular bloodline does not offer the oracle's curse but does play around with the idea of curses and divination (an archetype that grants an oracle's curse is a good idea!).

If we have an Orc, a Kobold, and a Human (Imperial) bloodline, we should have bloodlines for all the other playable races. It seems to me a Gnome or Elf bloodline is a lot more likely to have magical properties than an Orc bloodline.

A "Lunar" bloodline-- not a lycanthropy base, but something to do with the moon itself.

I like the previously-suggested "Cursed" bloodline, to go along with the "Destined" one. I would like it if more bloodlines had more to do with the circumstances of your birth rather than which page of the Bestiary gave you a recessive gene.

An "Underdark" bloodline, related to drow, duergar, svirfneblin, and derro. Additionally, a "Derro-Corrupted" bloodline to represent what happens when you get abducted by derro and experimented on.

A bloodline related to illusions would be nice.

A bloodline were you get your powers from the positive energy plane, it wouldn't be to game breaking if you got cure light and cure moderate wounds as bloodline spells. In fact some bloodlines were your power comes from a plane or dimension instead of creatures from there such as Astral, Ethereal, First World, Dimension of Time, etc.

I like the idea a lunar/moon themed bloodline maybe you have the power to force Lycanthropes(and other shapeshifters) to change into there true form.

Scarab Sages

I'd like to see a "Mystery" archetype for sorcerers, where the bloodline is replaced with an Oracle Mystery, and whenever you would get a bonus feat you instead get extra revelation.

You know at this point I think that Sorcerers need something other than bloodlines for customization, because otherwise we need a bloodline for near every creature subdivision in the four bestiaries before we stop asking for more.

An archetype for the Arcane bloodline that lets them focus in a school of magic.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Kaiju and Great Old One because why not Hastur sorcerer

I would also like to add Medusa/Gorgon, Mummy, Ghost/Spirit, Ooze, Rune/Runic, Crystaline, Light/Radiant, Monstrous, Primal, Sky Born, Insectile, Scaly Kind, and Troll.
