With Pathfinder Beginner Box Heroes Miniatures Set announced in June, samples displayed at GenCon in August and now the release date pushed back to November, I don't see how Paizo & WizKids can deliver on a December delivery date for a set that has ten times more miniatures to produce.
Reading today's blog: "This week, our partners at WizKids sent us 13 pre-production samples from December’s Heroes & Monsters 40-miniature set." Thirteen pre-production samples less than two months before they are suppose to ship to customers? We had four pre-production minis displayed at GenCon and that was over two months ago. Delivery is still a month off. Disappointingly, I expect a late January release with mid-February being more realistic.
I'm looking forward to this set, but I think Paizo and WizKids have set some unrealistically early release goals.

Frankly, I'm *also* no expert, having never done a 40-mini set before... but WizKids is, and they tell us they're still anticipating a December release. If that changes—and it certainly might—we'll let you know.
Because the Beginner Box Heroes set was our first project with WizKids, it involved a learning curve for both of us; I suspect that if we do a similar set in the future, for that reason alone, it won't take as long. WizKids may have even planned for that, because the BBH set is currently due in just two weeks after the intended date, and I *think* that the unanticipated delay was mainly in shipping.
