My credit card got rejected. Can I still get back onboard, or am I screwed?
Usually it keeps trying at certain intervals until it goes through or 'times out' (never had that happen though). You might be able to change to a different card or something.
Here's what KS has to say about it:
Troubleshooting, aka. what do I do if my card/payment gets rejected

Alternately, if your campaign is set in Golarion/Osirion, you can strip out bits the MASSIVE amount of material from Southlands and drop it in...there will be two dozen plus new creatures with their own Bestiary, a slew of new feats, spells and archetypes, a motherlode of desert/jungle oriented material that you can use whole cloth or piecemeal... :-)

Wolfgang can give much better details regarding the schedule, but if I remember correctly, I *think* the Southlands Bestiary should come out more or less at the same time as the Southlands Core book.
Speaking of the Southlands Bestiary, I have most of the final art in for this and holy #%&#!!!! is it awesome!!!! :)

When are the bonus PDF coming for backers (since I've seen them available for purchase)? I've completed my survey couple of weeks ago.
Check your spam folder, as I've seen emails for three of the cults (Doomspeakers, Emerald Tablet and Selket) and three of the advanced races (aasimar, gnolls, werelions). If there's nothing there, then you'll want to mail Wolfgang. I know my email for Doomspeakers got hung up, but the other 5 came through without a hitch.

I add to that my personal favorite desert-themed metal-song The Pharaoh.
Flame of the Nile - Fire in the Darkness to swallow the light...
Behold: The Ghost of a God!
Still gives me the shivers.
And the bridge:
Don't you see that it's coming, it's near
The wise man screamed in the noble chamber
Just a parrot in a rich man's cage
He's a jester of the court
The wise man died and the seance went on
And the red one reigned in the noble chamber
In dreams of a masterplan
For a billion parrots in a big cage...

Wouldn´t be complete without this one, now would it?
Powerslave

Thanks for this one - I totally missed that band until now...

I've written literally HUNDREDS of art briefs for the Core Southlands book alone, but I think I just might have written the most unique, off the wall yet coolest art briefs yesterday for the book :)
I'm so disappointed that "Being A Tease" isn't a valid reason in the Flagging system right now. >:|

Since metal started playing here I would recommend early Nile (doom-ish atmosphere rather than death metal brutality of later albums). Also acoustic project of their gutarist Saurian Exorcisms and Saurian Meditations. And also Melechesh.

So Servant of the White Ape has the noble Joseph Kortz who is corrupted "after entering the dark heart of the southern continent".
Is Jeff Lee a big fan of Kurtz from Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness?

I´m sure that this is all a coincidence...

Indeed. I've never taken inspiration from anything I've read, nor do I give nods to things I've enjoyed or would have been inspired by, if indeed I was ever inspired by anything, which I am clearly not.

Sure, we are currently struggling mightily to get the hardcover book on press. It's close, which means if things go well we will hit a July release date for both the Campaign hardcover and the Southlands Bestiary. That's July for project backers--public release is more likely an early August ship date.
The project exclusives I won't guess on.

For those that may have missed it, there is a new Update:
"The kobolds in the word mines are cheering—the core Southlands book is at the printer, as is the poster map! Soon enough we'll see rounds of printer's proofs! We're almost there with the first book. Huzzah!"
Pop over to the Southlands Kickstarter page to read the rest, as well as check out the final cover spread etc.!

Wait a minute. Was there never a backer PDF sent out for proofreading? You're just going to print right away without backer proofreading, i.e., the issues with Deep Magic all over again?
I mean, I get the "gotta print now to make GenCon" crunch, but I'm honestly disappointed.

I haven't had time to do more than skim but first thoughts are: I loooove the art. Maps are gorgeous. I can't wait to play a werelion PC. Most of all I can't wait for the hardcover book to be in my hands! Thanks, kobolds.
That's great to hear! We worked extremely hard to make sure the visuals (art, maps and overall graphic design) in this book, and the Bestiary for that matter, are super, extra, awesome!

Lovely, Marc. I was pleased my Azza Gremin was accepted into the Bestiary. I can't wait to see the art for it!
