Yeah, there isn't great news on the food front this year, unfortunately.
However, the hotel we are moving to NEXT year has lots more food options, including a Subway, Denny's, Taco Bell, a Thai restaurant, and a really good "American" food restaurant right across the street.
Cool! What hotel is that? I do like to make reservations early!

Any chance of food trucks making an appearance? Even one or two should be kept pretty busy with gamers running in and out between sessions, no? No idea how common they are over there. The huge jump in the number of food trucks here in Indy that congregate just outside Gencon on Maryland Street has been incredible. Seems like someone could set up shop and clean up.

Doubtful. On a 4th of July weekend we're pocket change compared to the variety of independence day celebrations going on in terms of numbers.

Exactly. We looked around at some food trucks and they are all booked up at big events around the area. So we are stuck with what we had last year.

Does anybody remember if the hotel rooms had fridges?
Mine did not have a refrigerator; as far as I can tell from the Marriott website, no rooms are equipped with a refrigeration apparatus aside from the air conditioning. There is, however, ice available. A small cooler could be refreshed periodically with ice and serve as cold storage.
Cheers,
MI

We found out last year that the hotel has a limited selection of Frigs, and they are given out by the hotel on the first come, first served basis.
Even people who requested in advance were not guranteed a frig. They were like gold, so I guess it depends on whose palm you grease or who you sleep with! :(

Brony con was at the Hilton convention center just down the block, not an actual hotel. I was at the Rodeway Inn, little cheap place down the hill. The hotel next door appeared to be where most of the bronies were staying. One had their car painted up with ponies and a big wooden pony piece stuck on the roof. Can't remember if my room had a fridge or not. Wasn't in the room much, except for sleep.

It was the Clarion. Didn't see any stink'n bronies there. Not the best class of establishment but it was clean and had a fridge - and rooms were nicely sized. And it was also substantially less expensive than the Mariott.

Only reason I don't watch that show is I will get addicted.
