Help with a Pathfinder newbie - OGL modules with Pathfinder Core Rules?

Adventures

I am a long-time D&Der but got out of RP when I got married and had kids, about 20+ years ago. Now my two youngest (13 and 11) are old enough and like RP-like board games that I have introduced them to Pathfinder via the Beginner Box. Our first go at it interested both of them and they are working on their "real" characters rather than running the Iconics. I have picked up a few modules as well as the Free RPG Day ones. After reading various posts, I am wondering how compatible the OGL modules are with Pathfinder Core Rules? I do not know enough of the history between 3.5 and Pathfinder to know the answer to that right away or even what to look for.

Specifically, can I run the Hollow's Last Hope (D0) and Revenge of the Kobold King (D1.5) if we are using Pathfinder core rules? I have done a read-through of D0 and did not see anything non-Pathfinder in it, but I'm not sure what I should be looking for, since I'm still a Pathfinder-newbie myself. I really liked the idea behind these two modules so I was going to get D1 Crown of the Kobold King and some of the other modules that take place in and around Falcon's Hollow and Darkmoon Value. But it's not too late to switch to something that does not require me to convert something when I don't know what to convert.

Thanks in advance for any advice...

It's not a big deal. 3.5e and Pathfinder are very compatible. You'll see some things in 3.5e statblocks that don't exist anymore in Pathfinder, such as a Grapple stat, but with a little flexibility you should be able to calculate CMD in its place on-the-fly. Otherwise the big things are that many skills were consolidated, so you'll see Spot/Search/Listen when in Pathfinder it's all Perception. Again, not a big deal.

Beyond that, just run the modules.

There's a conversion guide to handle changes in the game from 3.5 but to be honest I mostly ran those moduals unchanged and it worked fine. I'd even recomend doing them with beginner box rules. Which will simplify the changes.

That's what I figured on doing. I started looking at converting some of the monsters and the first hobgoblin stumped me. The PF hobgoblin is harder to overcome both AC and HP, but it doesn't make sense to substitute a goblin in its place. So I'm using the OGL monster stats and leaving everything else as-is.

Thanks.

Here's where the conversion guide is if you need it. It's free. http://paizo.com/products/btpy89m6?Pathfinder-Roleplaying-Game-Conversion-G uide

Also, a lot of the monsters are in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Reference Document.

The way I go about it is this. Monsters with Pathfinder equivalents that share the CR as their 3.5 counterpart I keep as is, using the pathfinder version. If the CR is off by one, I make it advanced or young, depending on which makes more sense.

New creatures introduced int he module I convert to pathfinder in a quick or dirty way, giving it the same HD (but changing the actual dice when necessary) and calculating the saves and skills from the ground up.

NPCs with class levels, I rebuild the NPC using pathfinder npc building rules.
