Spell combat and spell strike with a quickened spell

Rules Questions

Ok if a magus has a quickened spell prepared can they cast that swift action spell before the penalty from spell combat and then do the full round action of the spell comabt.

Basically can you swift action attack before to avoid the -2 on your swift spell?

Spell Combat (Ex): At 1st level, a magus learns to cast spells and wield his weapons at the same time. This functions much like two-weapon fighting, but the off-hand weapon is a spell that is being cast. To use this ability, the magus must have one hand free (even if the spell being cast does not have somatic components), while wielding a light or one-handed melee weapon in the other hand. As a full-round action, he can make all of his attacks with his melee weapon at a –2 penalty and can also cast any spell from the magus spell list with a casting time of 1 standard action (any attack roll made as part of this spell also takes this penalty). If he casts this spell defensively, he can decide to take an additional penalty on his attack rolls, up to his Intelligence bonus, and add the same amount as a circumstance bonus on his concentration check. If the check fails, the spell is wasted, but the attacks still take the penalty. A magus can choose to cast the spell first or make the weapon attacks first, but if he has more than one attack, he cannot cast the spell between weapon attacks.

Bolding my own.

The -2 only applies to the melee attack or attack rolls from a spell cast during spell combat. So, basically, you can cast your quickened spell as a swift action, and then do a full-round action for spell combat with a -2 to any melee attacks in the routine and cast the spell (as part of spell combat), taking a -2 to attack rolls from that spell.

The -2 penalty only applies to your spells that have attack rolls as part of the spell, and only to the spell that is cast as part of spell combat.

Cast a Quickened Spell

You can cast a quickened spell (see the Quicken Spell feat), or any spell whose casting time is designated as a free or swift action, as a swift action. Only one such spell can be cast in any round, and such spells don't count toward your normal limit of one spell per round. Casting a spell as a swift action doesn't incur an attack of opportunity.

Just adding this in, a quickened spell does not count as part of your spells per round.

ok, thats what i figured as well thanks.
