Domain spells and alignment question

Scarab Sages

I realize that a cleric cannot cast a spell that is opposed to her alignment, but clerics can't cast Arcane spells either--yet, some domains offer them access to spells that she normally wouldn't be able to cast.

Following that line of thinking, could a good cleric with the Death domain cast the various animate dead/create undead spells, which are evil, when she normally would not be allowed to?

What are your thoughts?

Theres a pharasma friendly death domain somewhere but i don't remember if it was PFS legal or not. Otherwise, no. Your cleric objected to cutting up the frog that day in class, and can either have their convictions or spell access.

Edit: found the domain

Golarion Day: Other Gods and New Subdomains

and yes its legal , on the right of the additional resources page

Thanks.

So a Chaotic Neutral cleric would only be limited from casting "Lawful" spells.

Assuming her deity was also chaotic neutral or true neutral.

A CN cleric can worship a CG, CN, CE, or N deity. A cleric cannot cast spells of an alignment opposed to her own or her deity's.

I believe you limit yourself to alignment spells based on whether you chose positive or negative channeling. I could be misremembering though.

That's a direct quote from the CRB.

Edit: I snipped out the "(if she has one)" part from the quote since this is the PFS forums and didn't want to confuse anyone. (All clerics must have deities in PFS.)

Ah, very good then. Thanks.

While the question has been answered, I want to point out that despite gaining access to some otherwise arcane spells via domains, the domain spells are not arcane, they are divine (even if normally the spell is only available on arcane list).
