Aargh what a not-good-process. I logged onto Paizo and the Pledge Tool asked me to create a Goblinworks, and pre-filled my email address as the username, and so I created the GW account with my email as my user name. But then when I went to GW, my email was "an invalid usename," and so I can't use or get access to the account.

Goblin Squad Member

They really have not formally announced the roll out folks. They did this literally in dead of night to impact the fewest users. Give them some time to work out the kinks before worrying over much.

I am fairly certain the Paizo link tool disallows email as username. You may want to retry that part.

Goblin Squad Member

@Nihimon and Mbando
Odd are you'll need to do the same thing as me and e-mail Goblinwork Customer service at customer.support@goblinworks.com to get this resolved

The Paizo link tool pre-fills and uses emails, and it's irreversible from the user side.

Yep, I'm not worried. I was just trying to provide good data to help them diagnose the issue.

The goblins should be getting in to the office about now. Thus, I'd suggest people wait a bit and see what they come up with for the various issues which have been reported.

Goblin Squad Member

The tool I used showed a pre-filled username with my email, but it required me to change it before I could complete the process as the email format violated username validation. I am fairly certain it was Chrome that did the pre-filling in this case anyhow, not Paizo.

The tool itself only seems to pre-fill the email value (that we do not see) with the Paizo stored value when it creates the account with GW.

This morning (8:30 EDT) I went to goblinworks, created an account and linked through paizo pledge manager from the link on GW.com. The paizo site says that I have sent my information to goblinworks and it is marked confirmed. However it thinks my payment record is the old credit card (which has been updated in paizo.com). Goblinworks says I am not a goblin squad member. My user name on paizo is "Harad Navar", but on Goblinworks is "HaradNavar" because GW will not accept blanks in username. Could this be the disconnect?

Folks, we're on Pacific Standard Time. It's just after 9am here. Our team will be looking at these problems ASAP and we will get some resolutions and fixes implemented immediately. Just give us a few hours to figure out the complication and we will fix it. Thanks for your patience!

Goblin Squad Member

None of us show as being GoblinSquad on GW yet. It sounds like you have made it as far as the rest of us that have had any success.

One thing I did notice is that I had to manually "re-send" the email confirmation, as I did not get one coming from the Paizo tool. This is done in the 'My Account' link.

Among us are the people who were convinced to sign up for alpha testing. If we can't put up with a few bugs in the website, then the alpha's gonna be real rough.

Just as a side note to contrast: If the people in the alpha are going to just put up with the bugs and not say anything it's not going to be a very useful alpha.

I expect we'll try to post clear steps to reproduce the errors and be patient while they're fixed. At least, that's my plan.

Personally, I think I'd rather not send mail to customer support. It's probably better if I wait until the fix is complete and then 'test" that process again as I try to get my accounts linked. That way if there is a problem, I can once again try to give clear steps to reproduce.

In order to purchase anything the first thing you must do is get Goblin Squad membership.

Click the button that says "Become a Goblin Squad Member".

Once you have added any of the packages in that section to your cart, you will be able to put add-ons into your cart as well.

If you are shopping with an account that is a member of the Goblin Squad, you should be able to buy add-ons and such without doing that first. I'll double check to make sure that is working as intended.

I've not found any button declaring how to be a goblin member. I've done the signup and log in but when I go to the account info, it says not a goblin squad member. I've hunted through the website as much as possible.

@Psvinkle - we are in the middle of a changeover to a new store system. Things are disrupted.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

Best of luck to all the goblins on the bug hunt. I know how much of a pain that can be, and I'm totally not worried about how long it will take to sort this out.

Goblin Squad Member

When you currently click on any of the pledges in the Store they immediately go into your cart, without first showing a description of some kind.

This may be known already, just figured I'd mention it here.

Should people who want to link rewards from both kickstarter campaigns email customer service for a manual solution, or are there enough people in that category to warrant fixing that?

e.g. the only element promised in the tech demo $1000 level was alpha access, and I got many of the add-ons from the second one as well.

Goblin Squad Member

Does the account transfer only work for those who were part of the kickstarter? I have a post-kickstarter open enrollment package, so maybe it's not set up for that yet?

Sovereign Court Goblin Squad Member

Looks fine for me, though I can't actually see what all add-ons I have there. I assume that adventure tier add-ons and transferring of add-ons to those accounts are going to be dealt with later?

Goblin Squad Member

Gottcha. By the way, you guys are doing an amazing job with all I've seen so far. Can't wait to get in there so i can explore and craft. Now I need to build my wife a system so she will be ready to play too. Thanks!

Goblin Squad Member

Was having the same problems linking as others but all seems good now!

Goblin Squad Member

My problem as follows:

1. Created Goblinworks account. Fine.

2. Click Pledge Link Tool. Redirects to Paizo.com account

3. Says....

You have no Kickstarter pledges.
If you used a different email address on Kickstarter you need a Claim Code. Please contact customer.service@paizo.com to request one.
If you've received a claim code from Paizo, please enter it here:
Claim Code

4. However, have no Kickstarter pledges. What I have when I hit "Order History" is

Order History
You have 1 order in your order history.

Order # Time Placed Items Total
xxx Mar 5, 2014 Goblin Squad Alpha $1,000.00

5. Conclusions is that I cannot seem to link a purchased Alpha pack from a couple of months ago to the Goblinworks.com account

Many thanks

Just a quick update on status!

If you participated in the second kickstarter, you can go through the Paizo Pledge Tool to link to your Goblinworks account. That process should be working. Please let us know if you still have any problems with it. After linking, your Goblinworks Account page should show your overall enrollment level (Alpha, Early Enrollment, or Open Enrollment), but will not detail any optional packages that you've purchased - although we do have that information.

If you have any of the following accounts:
* Alpha account from the first Kickstarter
* Enrollment levels purchased directly from the Goblin Squad store in the past few months
* Guild Member or Buddy accounts that were invited from a Guild or Buddy package

Then, I'm sorry. We are still working on smoothing the process for you. We are running database reports from Paizo right now, and working to get you guys integrated into Goblinworks.

Thanks for your patience.

Still not working for me. I created a GW account with a different email than my Paizo account. Tried to link the two. First time nothing happened. Second time was successful on the Paizo side, but on GW account my email was automatically changed to match the Paizo one(I had to verify it again), but the enrollment level did not change(and still hasn't).

edit. I participated in the second KS on the adventurer level.

Paizo account shows the process as completed but the GW website still shows the "You have not yet enrolled as a Goblin Squad member." I pledged at the Adventurer level in the second kickstarter.

Worked for me (though I had a sliver of doubt creeping on my back).

Here's what I did:

. went here: https://www.goblinworks.com/paizo-account-link/
. clicked on the "Pledge Link Tool on paizo.com" big green button
. logged on paizo.com and on got on this page: https://secure.paizo.com/paizo/account/pledgeDrives
. I have 2 Kickstarter PFO pledges (the Online Tech Demo and the Sandbox MMO, Crowdforger Pioneer level)
. clicked on Details for the "Pathfinder Online: A Fantasy Sandbox MMO"
. entered my favorite username (Moonbird), password (won't tell) and email
. got a confirmation on screen
. then got an activation email from gwauto@goblinworks.com with an activation link
. clicked on the link
. got a page confirming the account was activated (displayed on a blue background), but allowing me either to register a new account or log in (that's where that sliver of doubt crept in: why could I register a new account just after activating it ?)
. logged in with my new account
-> TADA ! it worked !
. and got a page saying I was signed up for Early Enrollment (no other details).

This worked swimmingly, thank you.

However, after that I wander on over to the Goblinworks store page on paizo, ( http://paizo.com/companies/goblinworks )

The add-ons were moved over to the store on goblinworks.com

Grand Lodge Goblin Squad Member

Worked for me this time, and it shows my status for EE properly on Goblinworks now.

Thanks!

Goblin Squad Member

Nice! I noticed that you can upgrade your pledge and the price you see is already adjusted for what you currently have. Seems to come together nicely now.

I noticed a spelling error on this page: economincal

At Player settlements it sais

will act as the foundation for the River Kingdoms economincal and political landscape.

I have linked to the goblinworks account but still nothing. Been like this since 5/8. Not a complaint, simply a heads up.

If you joined during the Kickstarter, I would advise giving them an email at customer.support@goblinworks.com . If you joined with the Goblin Squad Store later on, they are still working on having that recognized on their site, so we've only to wait at the moment.

Yeah, I did the kickstarter, though there seems to be a conflict somewhere. I made the account with goblinworks first. Perhaps that is the primary issue where there isn't a solid communication with goblinworks and piazo. Again, this isn't a "b@@%$ session" this is simply a heads up that somewhere there is an issue between making an account on Goblinworks first then linking account.

We're in just the same boat, and Customer Service (Ryan) is investigating for me. Can't hurt to put your name on that list.

He asked whether I backed at Alpha level in the Tech Demo Kickstarter, as that's also a stumbling block just now, whether I was the recipient of a Crowdforger Guild or Buddy purchase (rather than the purchaser), and whether I backed through the Guild Store rather than Kickstarter. I gave him my particulars and he went off to the races; I also have no concern it'll all work out fine.

Goblin Squad Member

Appreciate the help from customer service--they manually linked my accounts.

Still not sure how to spend my add-on balance--there's no visible balance, not sure how to assign a portion to someone else, etc.

Goblin Squad Member

Yes, that part is still being worked on, addons that were purchased in the pledge fullfillment tool have not been transferred to the GW account yet.

I still have an outstanding payment of 35 dollars that I can not seem to fulfill from the Paizo pledgetool anymore, so I am guessing that will be transferred too in time, so I can pay it through the GW store.

When that transfer happens I hope we will also be able to start gifting addons like the Adventurer Reward to other people.

Goblin Squad Member

This could very possibly have been answered elsewhere, so I apologize if this is a repeat question.

Is the RPG Print Pack Add-on something that is no longer available to add to accounts? I would completely understand if it is due to needing to order from printers well in advance. I just realized it wasn't available in the store and wasn't sure by how large of a window I missed the boat on that one.

CEO, Goblinworks

Yes, the Print Pack Add-On is no longer available to new accounts. If you backed the Kickstarter you will be able to access it but those are the only eligible accounts.

Any problem with folks who backed the Kickstarter intermediating?

I was wondering the same thing.

Goblin Squad Member

I did back the Kickstarter, so are you saying I should be able to see it as an option? If I can't see it should I submit a customer service request to make sure my linking with the GW site worked as well as I thought did?

CEO, Goblinworks

Right now there are a lot of issues with the Pledge Manager, and Paizo has a lot on their plate so it is not clear to me when those issues are going to get resolved. Other than getting people set up for Early Enrollment so we can prepare the way for the next couple of months of activity, that stuff is not super high on the priority list. It's not that time sensitive.

The print-pack Add-On is a bit time sensitive since it is going to be processed for shipment shortly (not exactly sure when, but soon). We need to send everyone all of their physical goods in one shipment so we can't let people order it once those shipments have been sent.

I suspect that we are going to have to ask Paizo to do a bit of a fix-up on the Pledge Manager for people who have enough on their account balances to buy the Print Pack, to let them add it and get it processed prior to that date. But we aren't likely to let people add more money and add more Print Packs. We printed a lot of that stuff basically by estimation and there aren't going to be a lot of extras.

So @Nihimon, the short answer is "yes", we'll have a problem with it.

Goblin Squad Member

Same issue as Fafryd just confusing as some people have received an email already. I used the same email for paizo and GW so not sure why its not working. Paizo link thing just asks for a code and thats it which i don't have so can't finish it.

Goblin Squad Member

Ryan Dancey wrote:

That's why I ask :)

Goblin Squad Member

Yes, the pledgemanager does not let me fulfill the outstanding payment of 35 dollars that I still have either. When the addons that we bought are transferred to our GW account, I take it our balance will also be ported over so I can pay it then.

As for the printpack: since the Guide to the River Kingdoms was not available anymore, I decided to have a printshop here in Holland print out the PDF that I received as pledgereward, and bind it. It came out really fine, but more costly off course (23 euros including shipment). I did use the thickest paper though.

Anyway, it is an option if you are missing out on the printpack, but still want some of it on paper.
