Is your plan for Pathfinder Online characters to be independent, dependent, or both? I plan to play alongside my father with him gravitating towards the fighter role and myself the wizard. Will I be able to toss him a heal or two if needed (and not be a total gimp wizard because I dabbled in a cleric ability, thus losing my dedication) and will he be able to heal or support me if a pesky bandit appears out of the shadows to slaughter me? If so, how? Would he have to specialize in cleric abilities? And, if that is the case, wouldn't all players "feel the need" to dabble in, at least some, cleric abilities in order to be useful to their allies?
Thanks in advance!

There is a lot depending on the Feud mechanics.
How much feuds will cost in influence?
How is influence gained and how easy or difficult is it to gain?
How many feuds can be maintained at one time?
How quickly can a feud be triggered?
How long do feuds last?
How can they be ended prematurely?
Can a company disband while under a feud?
Can members join or leave while under a feud?
Can an NPC settlement based Company be feuded?
And there are probably a dozen or more questions that will arise as well.

This question about Inns/Taverns should be lumped in with the 5 other questions about Inns I asked on the first page:
Will the Inn-owner (either the player that was a Tavern-backer or the Company that owns a PoI Inn) be able to operate the Inn in any way, like setting flags, or stocking the Inn, or adjusting fees for using (facilities of) the Inn?

How free-form or limited will the Contract System be in your plans?
So far I think it is safe to say we have only assumed there are two types of contracts: Bounties and Assassinations
We have also been told that a contract can be limited in who can pick it up, by the issuer (assumption, limited by: individual, company, settlement, alignment, reputation level, etc..)
How about more free form contracts?
Can a contract be issued to fulfill any quantitative task? Kill x of this; Collect Y of that; Raid this Outpost; etc..
Can a contract also have a qualitative condition tied to it?
Can a variety of reward types be attached (coin, influence, access to training, etc.)?
Can failure consequences be selected by the issuer?
What skills would be required in drafting or securing a contract?

ANY discussion at all on the music of the game would be greatly appreciated. So far a quick crtl+f on the kickstarter page and blog reveals one thing, that certain pledge levels will include the soundtrack. We've heard only 2 or 3 tracks so far, if I recall correctly. Are there plans to have many more distinct tracks to play? IE, tracks for certain areas, settlements being able to choose their own music or having it based on their alignment, etc.
adding to that, and i know these will, if at all, be long term plans and as such be subjective to crowd forging:
-any plans to get player made music into the game?-any plans to let bard actually play music/sing/dance?
-if not plans, how do you think/feel about the general idea? i mean, why should LOTRO remain top notch in this regard;) ?
What is your take on this:
AvenaOats wrote:
My question is how would it be possible to get audible singing as part of the Bards' musical repetoire? Ballads and Limericks and folk-tunes with Pathfinder pathos and humor and ribaldry and paens etc?Would something need to be recorded in audio as soundtrack to play along with instumentation? It would be nice to fill taverns with such perhaps for Bards to "perform" some of their Sir Robin songs along with instruments actually played. Of course you'd need writers and half-good singers, too.
I can imagine something like this in a distant future.
- a cloud either set up by gw or by a player group were people can submit audio files. probably in a standard format for example mp3.
- the community can listen into and vote for there favourites.
- gw can from time to time look at the top tracks and implement the ones they are ok with.

I'd like to know how/if the different races will differ from one and another. Will a orc have higher max strength, but forever lower charisma than the elf? Will they have different traits? Or will you perhaps avoid the issue of balancing by purely making the races a visual feature?
Do you read minds? I came here just to ask this question!

About last question: in this GW blog it was explained already. And I can't remember any mention about revision of this system.
Hope it helps.

Necromancy Questions:
1. Will we have the opportunity to create undead from the corpses of fallen PCs?
2. When creating undead, is there any choice of the type of undead created?
3. Assumption: Will the level of undead be based on the Necromancer's level?
4. Will there be items or key words that impact necromancy specifically?
5. Will there be structures in settlements specifics for necromancy?

We know that it will be possible to gain a boost with certain factions, like the Hellknights and the Pathfinder Society, in the game through the Early Enrollment store. My question concerning this will then be, what will these factions do in the game, and how will they affect my gameplay? Will I have to "grind" reputation with them, or are there other ways to interact with them? Will interaction with them be meaningful?

Some specific questions about the Land Rush.
1. Will it be "blind" in that we won't get to see which Settlements others have already chosen before making our own choice?
2. Will we be able to defer our choice in order to go later in the draw?
3. Will it be possible to "trade" a Settlement after the Land Rush?
4. Will it be possible to "lend a vote" to an ally? Obviously, this would mean we couldn't vote for our own Settlement.

How possible is it for a dedicated bookbinder/wizard to build a fairly expansive spell book? You mentioned the creation of a 6/24 spellbook, and while understanding that there is a balance reason, in TT base spellbooks have 100 pages, and traveling spellbooks have 50. Is it ever going to be possible for a wizard in PfO to have, say, a 7/100 spellbook? How does book crafting work for the inclusion of more pages even if they aren't necessarily of highish level? Is there any intent to give access to the Cypher Magic feat in some kind of mechanical form?
I'm sorry if I'm asking too many questions, but I tend to play wizards in TT and plan to play one in PfO. New Thassilon shall rise if I have anything to say about it.

Is vending going to be done in multiple shops by each seller or aggregated into one big town Bazaar where everyone goes to shop?
What type of limitations will be on selling in towns that you're not a in a chartered company of?
What can you tell us about selling personally or on behalf of our companies or settlements? (i.e. if we're familiar with trading in EVE do we pretty much have a handle on what trading will be in Pathfinder Online?).

Do you mean specifically a single physcial book, or more generally having access to a wide range of spells? The indications so far is that spellbooks will be limited (to force hard choices and to balance better vs weapons), but the you can carry around several of them - in the same way that you wont get any light heavy sharp crushing weapons to perform all possible maneuvers, but you are free to carry a full arsenal in your bags.

seconded!
Just how local will trade be? Actual items will be local, but what about information? Do you envisions ways (skills, buildings) to see what's on offer in the next settlement? (If not, how will you keep chat channels from being flooded with trade ads?)
Do you intend listed trades to be always/somethimes/never anonymous?
What do you expect/want as the main driver for local price differences: travel time or danger of losing the goods?

I meant in a single book. I do understand that there are balance reasons to limit wizards, but, even given a massive book, wouldn't wizards still only have a fairly limited choice of what to cast given the pseudo-vancian magic system that PfO will be using? Or did I completely miss some update on how wizards worked after the one stating that my wizard will have to use all of his slots to be an effective wizard?

Some questions about feats for different roles.
Will there be feats making you more effective in trading (such as in AHs)?
Will there be feats making you more effective at doing contracts of any kind?
If yes, when will feats for the merchant role, but also for roles like diplomat, spy, scout (any non-combat, non-crafter role really) be available?

These are most likely after MVP questions:
1. When/if fall damage is put in, will the jump and tumble skill mitigate some of the disatance or damage?
2. Will jump skill, if added, or character height effect jumping height?
3. Will tumble be added and if so will it have a set animation and use in combat with a distance scaled by skill level?
4. When/if safe fall is implemented, will it have a seperate falling animation kick in?

Harvesting Settlements
Can harvesting take place in the hex of settlements?
Is that inside or outside the 'wall'?
Can there be outposts for BULK harvesting in the hex of a settlement?
How does size of settlement affect yield (personal or BULK)?
What is the list of outposts and what do they produce? Some mention was made of Docks, for BULK FOOD from water or swamp? What else is reasonable for swamp for other BULLK items?

Caravans.
I'd love more info on caravans. How frequently will active merchants or gatherers need to use caravans? When exactly will they be necessary, in the context of gathering, refining, and in transporting final products? How expensive will they be? How much is at risk if it gets attacked, both in combat or through SAD? Are there any built-in protections? How fast are they? What skills might merchants get to mitigate or prevent losses? Anything and everything.
I'd also support getting information about the economy and the markets. Will there be a global "auction house" of sorts, will each settlement have its own, or will you have to visit actual merchant PC/NPC shops, or what?

Since Alpha has a wipe and is not expected to last significant amount of time, will Alpha have a Skill Point earning rate faster than Early or Open to test out reaching middle or higher level of roll ability? ( in Table Top: levels 8+ ) Or will segments occur where Skill Points are just set to some value?

I was wondering if there might be some kind of "follow" command for when you have a group of two or more players? Something that sets the "follower" on defensive posture and lasts about five minutes. You know, so you can make a run for the bathroom or grab a snack from the kitchen without having the whole party standing around and waiting for you to get back to the keyboard in order to continue moving the group to whatever destination.
With a defensive posture set for this, if a wandering monster attacks, your PC still fights or casts healing or defensive spells while you are away from the keyboard so you don't come back and find out that your are dead while making a potty break. :-)

Not to mention when you just need to do simple things like message someone to tell them "HELP WE'RE BEING CHASED BY FIVE HUNDRED ORCS".
Or put the kids to bed, though that will probably take more than five minutes unless your spouse has it mostly handled and you come in for the good night kisses and hugs and quick bedtime story. :-)

Premise: Owning or selling slaves is an "evil" act, just as completing or posting an assassination contract is an "evil" act. Is this correct?
We know that using slave labor gives you the Heinous flag, and causes a shift towards Evil.

Can we get an update on the reputation system? Based on the numbers in previous blogs posts, it'll take literally months of 100% clean play to recover from a single murder of a high rep innocent. Has there been work done on tuning the system since then and if so can you tell us anything about that, or are you waiting to see how things play out in EE before trying to polish the numbers?
Is rep gain still intended to be per clean hour logged in? Can rep be gained while offline, and if not how do you avoid the rep-idling problem?
How do you envision LE or CG players mantaining high rep while engaging in evil or chaotic behavior?

Are you able to give more details on the number of building slots available vs the number of buildings needed to maximize an "Area of Focus" ?
For example, say a woodlands settlement wants to maximize all products wood related. They might need a carpenter, sawmill, and botanist. If the settlement has (just for a number), 10 building slots, then that takes almost 1/3rd of the settlement's capacity to maximize wood products. Likewise if they spent 3 spaces on ranger related buildings, that settlement might only be able to focus on 2-3 major "Areas of Focus."
If settlements want to maximize a field, how many fields do you see them being able to do?
---
Are you able to give details on core alignment vs deity alignment - are they able to be within 1 step?

Will taverns generate revenue for the owners? Or will the owners need to seek other sources of income to pay the upkeep? I'd love to see them generate their own income based on usage so tavernkeeps have a reason to encourage visits and social congregation, but I'd like to hear what the devs have in mind!

I was reading through a posting made by Cheatle recently. A "quick start guide" and one of the things stated was that currently the crafting queue resets if you log out, leave town, or are killed. Is this still in effect, is this the planned way it will be done or is this just a current aspect that will be changed?

It is just a bug. The game is in early ALPHA. That is not how crafting will work. :)

Pretty sure it was never intentional.
It's already fixed in the latest build. There is still a pretty serious persistence bug that affects some older characters that will completely reset you, but if you can create a new character you should be fine.
TL;DR - Crafting works, you can leave town or die and not lose your crafting queue.

ECOLOGICAL ECONOMY
I am very much looking forward to playing a Ranger (or building out a fighter as a "ranger" when EE starts). What will the ecological economy look like near-term and long-term? At this stage in the game, I don't expect yall to be able to model the effects of over harvesting timber or killing every last deer; but in the long term it would be nice to see that poor communal player choices can also have negative impacts on the environment- which, in turn, would negatively impact the economy! (This would also make a great point of tension or conflict between players, once yall get Druids into the mix!)
Separately, are yall planning on trying to have a fairly biodiverse wilderness? I'd like to see squirrels by day and possum by night, personally, but that might just be a Southern thing :P
Lastly, will characters have to eat? I think they should! It would make those long wilderness treks all the more challenging, and be all the more reason to have a ranger on hand :)
