I don't need to dig out mine. Both the box and the hardback are easily to hand. :)

Mine are still packed from my last move. Luckily less than 20 ft away from me, in one of those boxes. (Man, I really need to finish unpacking.)

I have some new players getting ready for a new campaign starting soon, how fun would that be to let them play a converted PF CoW just for a few sessions? I may have to!

Cheers Jeffrey, thanks for the inspiration!

Contributor

Hey Diodric, after some extensive play testing the Dragons --at least in these conversions-- are about as strong level per level with a fighter (with d12 hp) and so are slightly above the normal CR. In most cases people dislike allowing monsters to sub in normal class levels until they finish all racial levels first, but I actively encourage taking them amongst racial progression. This actually slows down the monsters key abilities and can allow the PC added flavor (like a Gold Dragon Paladin or Silver Dragon Cleric or whatever)

I think this would also work with CoW type campaign. If you try out the classes, let me know how it goes--love feedback. =)

Any word on how the next update is coming along? I know this one was a pretty heavy undertaking, but I'm pretty excited to see what you've done.

Also, any chance we might see the doppelganger in the next version?

Contributor

Hey Ketsueki,
Yes, I have included the doppelganger in the next version...although it might be sometime still. New artwork, new feats, new format is taking a bit of time.

Grand Lodge

Hope you had good Christmas, and New Year's, Jeff.

Contributor

You too Kevin! I might just through up the doppelganger in a basic format just to keep my skills sharp. hehe

The minotaurs gore progression is off. Looks like you based it off its powerful charge, as it does 2d6 with its gore at level 6, when it is supposed to have 1d6, with powerful charge up to 2d6.

Contributor

Thanks Glutton! It's a massive heap to sift through. You feedback is very much appreciated!

Liberty's Edge

Bringing this to your attention so you can fix it so we don't lose this awesome tool! EDIT: That's a link, btw.

Yes, very weird that they come down hard on linking to your PDF on another thread, but don't actually come in here to knock your teeth out. ;)

[EDIT - Weehaa. I never noticed but it is incredibly unfortunate that nowhere on that credits page does it show that this is a fan work, nor that the author does not work fro Paizo - it even states Lisa Stevens in the CEO of Paizo.

Looks like you need to change a bunch of stuff! Definitely change the trade dress to not look exactly like Paizo PF stuff…

and

HERE is the link to the relevant sections and legalities you need to abide by…

Make sure you credit all the posters in this thread who helped out, who started the project, who worked on it, layout, graphic design etc…..

Contributor

Thanks for catching that. I took it down. In no way did I mean to infringe on anything, but just made it as a fan. The credits page was all the Paizo workers--wasn't to imply that it was endorsed by them. I did not include any names to credit myself or anyone else except those at Paizo.

Sure, but you need to credit yourself and not Paizo so it is clear that this is a fan work. And make sure the trade dress looks different…. Just change the text to read that this is a fan based work, and remove all the Paizo staff. I'm also not sure you are allowed to alter Paizo-owned images at all without permission - even for fan made stuff - check the Community Use policy on that...

And I could still download it from THIS post on the previous page…

An Ettin would be cool. :^)

Contributor

Grrr, googledocs is frustrating me. I deleted the old copy, yet it is still allowing it to be dl'd. Hmm, I have been going through and changing all the share links and see if that helps.

We basically just started at level 5. So I was a level 5 dragon, and instead of having my own free will etc I was his familiar. Kept me in check until I got mind controlled.

Then I killed him. I was sad, then took all his stuff.

Hiya, just checking for any updates. :^)

Hey Jeremy! Thanks for the interest! I am still currently in a major overhaul. Not only am I updating all the entries (correcting calculations/spell levels and such) but cleansing for OGL and having an artist create new art. It will probably be a bit before I release the next update.

Okay Jeff. Hey, I am a bit of an artist too. So, if you need some stuff for this project just ask. I'm working on a commission now but should be free in a month or so. I've also got stock art on DriveThruRPG. I'm selling as Omegapointillist Studios, and if there's anything in my catalog you think you could use I'll let you have it for free. My skills are still pretty amateur though. :^)

Oh yeah. Real amateur.

That is some awesome work Jeremy. I might have some work for you down the line… Liking the neurophage and the lizard man magus, and that's all without clicking on any actual product…

Those are awesome Jeremy! I will keep you in mind. I am just nailing down the new format/template layout. I have just about finished the racial feats, but still making a ton of corrections and level adjustments for spells-like abilities. Sooooo close...

Must get conversion. Could you post a link to version 23 for a poor GM that so wants a pathfinderized variant on one of my favorite 3.0/3.5 books. I can see my Way of the Wicked Players being interested in devil PCs...

You'll have to PM Jeffrey. He can't post the link on here any more.

Sorry, lacking the time to go through the whole thread, but needed to ask:

Have the Templates from Savage Species also been converted? Really interested in the Saurian, Insectoid and Winged templates.

Nope, they have not been converted so far, only the racial classes.

Contributor

I will be doing a whole section of "template" conversions! Already in the works!

I'm curious as to what that all entails.

Sweet Jeffrey. Beyond the local copy I saved of your conversion, I've created a bunch of my own recently and have a decently large folder of them growing.
Some of them I sort of redid for some balance issues for playing, or for just fun.
For example I redid all four Genie races as 13HD races and gave them a few more SLAs for their elemental theme and they've been working tremendously. I leveled out a drakainia as well, with some nerfs so it stopped at lvl 20 and wasn't base mythic.
Made an illithid too, but obviously can't post that anywhere.
Also have Crucidaemons, Arcanadaemons, Raelis azata, Vernallia azata, Yamah azata, Nereids, Night Hag, Winter Hag, a variant medusa with crazy poisons instead of the pretty much non-playable petrifying gaze, Pairaka div, Silvanshee agathion, and I made a custom Shae too. Also created a unique Succubus variant, because everyone loves succubi right?

Sweet...

Time to bump the thread. :)

Unable to access pdf. Says need to request access. Anyone able to provide an alternate link to 23?

AFAIK, all previous versions were taken down so the legal aspects of the compilation could be set right. We'll have to wait until the new version comes up.

At the very least, need a copy of the Nymph, if anyone can provide it?

Hello all,
A big thanks for the continued interest in this! I am almost finished with the major overhaul.

New layout
New format
New art
New racial feats
New breakdown of monsters--more level appropriate for spell and spell-like abilities
New monster classes

Sweet

Any chance of getting the Nymph as a teaser? Really need to provide it to GM asap so he can yay or nay it; game starts in 5 days, I think.

@Skaeren

I sent a PM of that to you (Check the mail icon next to your name).

Folk in this thread might also want to check out the Advanced Races Compendium ...

More than 15 (and growing!) new and expanded PFPRG heroes: tieflings, gearforged, lizardfolk, aasimar, ravenfolk, kobolds, lamia, waspfolk and many more, in rich detail!

Advanced Races Compendium

While awesome, it probably won't have the soon-to-be-needed sapphire dragons!

If it does have the gemstone dragons though, I'm going to buy it.

Quick update - Advanced Races Compendium has hit its funding goal and is now into the stretch goals, which so far include cool stuff like HeroLab files, additional chapters on minotaur, trollkin and drow. There are plenty of additional PC race chapters coming as higher stretch goals as well!

Fans of having lots of different, unique and fully playable PC races (which, I'm guessing is pretty much everyone in this thread :) should pop over and check the Advanced Races Compendium out!

Grand Lodge

It's not just about playing new races, but rather player monsters with HD and very special/specific abilities.

Mark, the art work looks amazing! Can't wait for it!

In regard to the direct type conversion...the layout and editing is in the final stages. =)

Super sweet, I can't wait to see the end result

You've yet to disappoint me, Jeff. Keep up the great work.

Thank you sir! We are definitely very proud of the art! It's really going to be a fantastic book:)

Speaking of fantastic, your Savage Species conversion is certainly pretty darn fantastic as well!

How come waiting for awesome is so hard? ;-)

I don't know, I'm a little sad to not see it yet, but I understand this is a huge project. My group is on the edge of their seat waiting for the new version.

Um ... Er ...

For mythology purists it's annoying that Wizards of the Coast had labelled (crow) Tengu as Kenku. I imagine it was done because they weren't exactly mimicking crow tengu, or so I hope.

You mean, Wizards of the Coast retained the name TSR used for the critter in the first edition Fiend Folio? The one submitted by a fan to White Wolf magazine in the Seventies? Just checking.
