Ok, I have a party that completed all of the Darkmoon vale mods and have been a rather successful group. I gave them the Tower of the last Baron and they put a huge twist on me. It turns out a couple players have more loyalty to Cheliax then Andoran. So they played nice up until they found out all the spies inside the keep. Then they came clean to the Baron everything they knew and wow....that's where I am at now. I honestly don't know what will happen next. I do not think they will be able to take the Andoran Army. Any suggestions?

Maybe point out that surprising the GM doesn't make for a good game?

In any event, what's wrong with having them face the Andoran army, anyways? I mean, they did decide to side with a dude who's about to get invaded, so it shouldn't come as a shocker to see him get his clock cleaned by the invading army. I see any of the following:

A. Play up the "it's a losing battle, but we'll make them pay" aspect.

B. Invent some kind of an ally that they might be able to bring to the table if they succeed on some crazy quest.

C. Create an infiltration adventure for them - have them have to go as spies into Andoran and somehow negate the threat of the army.

All of them are a lot of work for you, and IMO it wasn't very fair of the players to go off the rails like this without warning.

Gotta love when they surprise ya like that huh....
My advice is to let them fight the upcoming army. I agree to the whole "its a losing battle, but we are gonna make them pay". Have swarms upon swarms upon swarms of soldiers attack the group and when they are knocked unconscious, have them wake up in prison cells and branded traitors etc etc. Have it to where the country they sided with deny any involvement with the group and leave them high and dry. Then determining on ur groups setup (aka are they mercenaries, traveling adventurers, etc etc) u could have the andorans have a whee bit ofa problem (aka suicide run) that they need the group to do and if they finish it, they will no longer be branded as traitors. Have it to where shop keepers and merchants won't have anything to do with them and even cabbies and people who sell horses won't deal with them either because of the traitor status. Let them know theybare being trailed by some of the best of their rangers to mame sure theybwont split or the rangers will basically tell the area the group keeps escaping to the problems of said group.

Liberty's Edge

I'd say have the Baron have them go on a mission to recover the treasure from Chimera Cove. With this the characters can bargain a deal with Cheliax? :-x Then when the characters come back they see the Baron's Keep has been laid siege so then they move on. Where they get captured by Cheliax forces, whom there happens to be someone that points them out as the mercenaries that infiltrated the Baron's Keep. So then they get sentenced to jail time... then begins No Response from Deepmar! BAM! That should hold you off for a bit.

Liberty's Edge

Well, they could take the spies as hostages and present them to the army. I am sure, Ingrid Odeber will think twice before charging Piren's Bluff.

Baron Vendikon could also send them to Westcrown, to get some troups or maybe even someone who can summon devils to help in the fight against the coming army.

Just give the PCs some more time, before the siege begins, or let the siege take longer, and haven the PCs trying to leave the town, sneak through the enemies camp (and get some infos while in the camp).

Than they have to hurry to find allies who they have to bring to Piren's Bluff, and than play out the whole fight over Piren's Bluff, with devils, monsters and what-not joining the frey on both sides maybe...

awesome!! thank you all for the great ideas. I will implement these for future campaigns.

I did the losing battle in which they were eventually overcome by endless tides of Andoran troops. Listed as traitors and denied by cheliax they ended up being exiled to Varisia to start a new life. From there I launched several other mods for them to redeem their careers and their futures.

I may in fact try to rerun this in a future date for the sole reason of trying to win the battle for Cheliax. You guys have provided great story plots for that.
