Hi,
I like to create characters and I like fighter and skill monkeys.
So I think "let's try to create a valid skirmisher/skillmonkey build".
So the Origin:
The character is an exiled noble. He lived till his 13. birthday at his fathers (a earl) castle. There he were educated and trained to one time become his fathers successor.
He was very talented with the bow and sword.
After some political struggles, a rival killed his father and his mother and he were forced to flee and seek shelter in the slums of their former residence city.
After he reached adulthood, he left his mother and seek revenge for his fathers murder and try to restore his family name.
So far for the background.
Race should be Human.
Classes should be fighter from his "former" education and rogue from his "street life".
Allowed books: Core Rule Book & APG
Level ~ 6 to 8
I thought of somethink like 5th level Fighter (Mobile Fighter or Archer) and 3 Level Rogue (Swashbuckler)
Any further ideas?^^

If he liked hunting or enjoyed the outdoors a Ranger who uses both the Guide and Skirmisher archetypes would work. Probably Archer combat style.
Guide because Favored Enemy doesn't make sense unless he grew up at war with specific monsters all the time. Ranger's Focus better represents 1 vs 1 training like a noble might get.Skirmisher archetype to remove the nature magic and make him more geared toward being a trained warrior.
Might multiclass him with Rogue to represent the time in the city.

The Mobile Fighter/Scout variant is something I also think about.
I think it's powerful at mid to high levels. Also it would fit the background very good (fighter for the castle Part, scout for the slum part (but more the mobile part, then the "wilderness" part).
Meh, do like I did in the campaign I'm in now.
Look up Treeant Monk's Switch Hitter and take the Urban Ranger Variant from the APG. Boom there you have it. You get 6+Int Modifier for skills, Disable Device as a class skill, and a neat little pet to do your bidding (I recommend the Roc from the Beastiary).
I'd discuss with your GM to change how favored community works (maybe ask him to ax it), but other than that its what you want to do.
My back story was that my family was rich but my parent's didn't pay attention to me so I'd act out for attention and get into bar fights and trouble (stealing, breaking and entering, etc). I've loved the character so far and since we don't have a rogue I've been most helpful!
