Two-Handed-Weapon Duellist

Conversions

Hi,
I like the duelist PC but also I like two-handed-swords,so I want to merge both in one. :)

I thinking of the following changes:

- remove the "only light weapons" restriction
- change the requirement to "Weapon Finess or Weapon Focus"
- as I like a skirmisher style for it I would add a "character have to move 10ft+" to the precise strike ability (or some similar restriction)

Any comments? Ideas?

Why? You`d like damage and AC bonuses on top of 2-handed weapon damage?
You can`t mention ONE flavor reason you want to do this for,
but can manage to mention even more mechanical abilities you`d like to `acquire` (skirmish). Yeah.

The Duelist PrC (and Free Hand Fighter variant) is FOR one-handed, single weapon fighters. So stacking it`s benefits on top of those that come with 2-handed weapons would seem rather UNFAIR to the normal Duelists who balance the Class`s benefits with it`s restrictions, i.e. the entire scope under which it was conceived in the first place.

If you`d like more skills to mechanically fulfill a more `social` role, I suggest the Pathfinder Campaign Setting`s Fighter variant which gives up it`s first Bonus Feat for 2 more skill ranks per level along with some more Class Skills. Though some think it could be better balanced with removing some Armor Proficiencies and maybe even more (Social) Class Skills in their stead.

Why?
I like the mechanics and the overall style of this PC.
I thinking of Japanese Samurai, which are Masters with their Katana. Be a Bulwark (Parry) and waiting for the right moment to strike (riposte).

Also I like the "speed" and mobility theme of this PC.
I don't want a OP character, just a fast, skilled 2-Handed-Weapon fighter. Someone who favors speed over raw power even with a 2-Handed-Weapon.

Good Examples are the McLoeds or the Elves at LotR.
Sure I know, if I'm only change the weapon type, the class will be OP, but thats why I'm asking here. I have no real experience with selfmade classes, so I need help.

I suggest the Mobile Fighter variant, and/or a Barbarian Build, possibly multi-clasing the two.
With Armor Training you can Tumble in Medium Armor (or Mithril Heavy) emphasizing mobility.
Spring Attack seems to be compatable with Vital Strike if you want hard hitting attacks while staying out of harm`s way.

Also, you can emphasize DEX over STR (or simply more DEX and less STR than normal for 2Handers) and use the Elven Curveblade (2Handed) with Combat Reflexes and Weapon Finesse h(if DEX>STR, if not don`t bother with the Elven Curved Blade you don`t need a Finesse Weapon or Weapon Finesse). Barbarians have several ways to get more AoO`s than you would expect, which could be `waiting for te right moment to strike` (Unexpected Strike and Come and Get Me are the names of the Powers, the latter in APG along with Mobile Fighter variant, the former in Core). Come and Get Me`s AoO`s can easily be DISARMS if you want, which is just about as good as a Parry in my book ;-)

It`s actually the case that a STR focused, 2-Hander wielding Rogue can be very effective...
Likewise focusing on Skirmish damage (and Vital Sttike?) should work as well.
