New Pathfinder Player Companion released!

Time to make the best of what life has given your character with our latest Pathfinder Player Companion!

If your character is looking to make more of themselves than who their parents were, then Pathfinder Player Companion: Bastards of Golarion is here! In this 32-page volume filled with options for your Pathfinder Roleplaying Game character, you will get details on the most common mixed heritage races: half-elves and half-orcs! You'll get racial variants like the half-drow darkborn and the sandkin half-orcs as well as information on two cities known to be more accepting than most for these characters caught between two cultures. New feats for changelings, fetchlings, gillmen, and dhampir, plenty of new traits, and roles like the Celebrity, Illegitimate, Outcast, and Unfortunate provide inspiration for your character with mechanic suggestions. With character background options that supplement Ultimate Campaign, new racial traits that work with Advanced Race Guide, and a chart full of random appearance options, Bastards of Golarion provides new ways to look at the many different species available in your Pathfinder Roleplaying Game!

Check out the rest of our Pathfinder Player Companions, and don't miss out on last month's People of the Sands, which gives you some useful tips, traits, and tricks for our next Pathfinder Adventure Path, Mummy's Mask!

More Blog.

I was pretty impressed with the interesting and mostly balanced options presented in this book, and the delicate but in-depth treatment of the "Title Topic". Good Job.

Some very potent dispel options in here - particularly for changelings. That's a mechanic that rarely gets any love (and can be dangerous to do so).

I like the "Role" traits and feats, although more for home games. For PFS it's rather vague on how to utilize these (can you be a Celebrity Outcast? An Illegitimate Unfortunate?)

Side topic: The cover of this book reminds me very strongly of the Core Rulebook cover - it's a bit swapped around but the Owlbear and dragon have very similar shapes. Lovely cover as well.

I thought there weren't any half-drow in Golarion?

There aren't any good drow in Golarion.

Shadow Lodge

the table for distant heritage on page 31 where do we find explanation for these traits.

And making 'good drow' is a bugger to do... after all they fight hard when you try to make them 'dead drow'.
