New Pathfinder Society Scenarios have arrived!

From the southern riches of Oppara to the snowy north, the latest Pathfinder Society scenarios are here!

Decadent, extravagant, and gilt in the decaying fineries of a once-vast empire, Taldor has not lost its love for intrigue and political maneuvering. Unfortunately for your Pathfinder Society character, those plots will be used against you in "Library of the Lion"! Venture-Captain Muesello of Oppara has procured an invitation to peruse rare documents at a library previously off-limits—especially to members of the Society. Only given two hours to find the choicest material, your task is made harder by the fact that an unknown archive was recently discovered and is off-limits to everyone. Containing unaltered histories from the earliest years of the Shining Crusade, this archive has material that could be key in the current Mendevian Crusade against the demons of the Worldwound. Of course, this is no simple snatch-and-grab, and damage to the library is strictly forbidden. Evading detection by the guards is one thing, but your agent will have to avoid the dangers of this new archive as well.

And for the second scenario this month, bundle up, because you're heading to the Realm of the Mammoth Lords with "Where Mammoths Dare Not Tread!" For 7th to 11th level characters, this adventure sends you to that cold realm at the behest of Marcos Farabellus and Aram Zey to set up a staging area for expeditions into Jormurdun, the ancient dwarven Sky Citadel long thought lost. With its location close to the Worldwound's encroaching borders, this will be a risky endeavor, especially since the locals aren't too keen on visitors. More concerning is the complete lack of allies in this realm—a situation that your Pathfinder agent is charged to correct! Winning over the local Kellid tribe will be a hard task, as they're not likely to be swayed by sweet words from the party bard. A test of might will suit them just fine, and given that this region hugs the Worldwound's western border, there is no shortage of demons to fight against...

Yeah, wow, I kind of can't believe that title's there. Kudos to whoever decided on it.

Yes. Which wouldn't be a big deal if the scenarios didn't cost money. Editing and proof reading are sort of expected when you do. Just sayin' ...

Wish this was a higher tier, my Lion Blade is WAY outside of tier.

I know the Holidays are a rough time to get work done and it's not too big of a deal, #firstworldgeekproblems, but man maybe after the scrutiny of RPG Superstar so far I'm a bit more chapped about this than I normally would be otherwise.

It seems to be an on-going (for as long as I can remember) issue with scenarios. It being a pet peeve of mine probably relates to having spent about 1/4 of my career in quality assurance type positions. But, eh, these are a LOW volume publication (relative to publishing industry standards), so better proof-reading might not fit within the business plan (read: budget).

That said, content-wise, this scenario is GREAT! Without delving too much into spoilers, I'll just say, leave your murder hobo characters behind for this one, because they'll be a liability! :-D

You know last year they still accepted Items with typos in RPG Superstar. They stated it wasn't an absolute disqualifier unlike previous years.

Is the adventure good though?

You're welcome. Trivia:

Spoiler:
I am a huge Final Fantasy fan. Some of my earliest fan art was from Final Fantasy VI, and I ran a Final Fantasy VI Pathfinder Game at PaizoCon a few years back.

Just from the read through-prep, story is VERY GOOD. I won't be surprised if this one rivals The Stolen Heir for my fav season 5 so far!

I still kind of wish the Black Mages had gone on tour for the Distant Worlds concerts - even if it was just for One Winged Angel...

I'm still dying for details on that. Particularly details involving casualties.

For some reason I read Final Fantasy as Fighting Fantasy. Man I miss that book series.
