I tried to run and play a whole different concept for Kingmaker as both player and DM. In both cases, the campaign saw a six-man team of Elven Special Forces from Golarion operate in the area. Their mission was to destabilize the region from becoming tamed by the humans attempting to pacify the land for their voracious consumption. It was discovered that the River Kingdoms was the home of a very ancient elven kingdom in millenias past and is home to many artifacts and possibly a hidden city or fortress. If it's possible, you could allow me to run this party as a counter-plot against the current party oblivious to our existence. It's not that they are evil, they simply wish to regain that which they strongly believe is elven property and hope to slow down the humans from devouring all there is. Therefore, these top-notch elves conduct sabotage, guerilla warfare, ambush, upheavals, revolutions, and all that bad stuff that modern USA Green Berets are good for.
Whacha think?

I’ve got an Aldori Swordlord Fighter ready to go. Well, he might need to be adjusted to meet your build rules, but other than that.
You've got dibs on joining because you dotted this thread long ago.
rules are 25 point buy, 2 traits, Hitpoints are best of 2 dice or half of one dice rounded up. Your character starts at level 2, with basic level 2 wealth.
Any further questions can be directed at me!
Ouachitonian, you are in!

For your information, I am a VERY regular poster as well. I am a DM for The Emerald Spire, and am also playing in a 5E homebrew game on here, and also play in a Firefly/Serenity based PBP on another site. And I play in a tabletop Pathfinder every Wednesday night, that just completed a campaign all the way from level 1 to 20 with 2 Mythic Tiers, and we have just had 1 session starting the Kingmaker campaign.
I know very little about Kingmaker, though I am also playing the PC game that just came out.
I typically prefer to play magic users, Sorcerers mostly, though I have also done clerics, and occasionally I do play Fighters or Rogues. So a bit of a variety, though I have never played a Barbarian, or a Druid.
And just to let you know as well, I can post regularly even while at work, except I cannot access maps, or any Google Docs while at work. They get blocked by the IT dept.

Yay! Thanks!
I'll go ahead and roll my HD for 2nd lev then.
Hit die: 2d10 ⇒ (10, 3) = 13 YAY 10!!!
And first 'list' of questions: any race, alignment, trait, or feat restrictions? Half-Orc?
Any restrictions on ability scores/using dump stats/max stats?
Do you allow Stamina and combat tricks for the fighter?
Any language restrictions?
Do you require or want a background? How detailed?
Do you use background skills?
Any restrictions on what I can buy with my money? Cold iron weapons?
Sorry, I know it is a lot of questions! Obviously feel free to give a simple yes/no, or to be as detailed as you want.
And there will be more to come!

I am open to anything non third party. I am especially fond of half orcs if they have the trait that gives them bite attacks, but no pressure from me there.
Any restrictions on ability scores/using dump stats/max stats?
20 would be the max, and anything above 18 you would mention in your backstory. Dump stats can't go below 3 -- but if you do I'd expect you to roleplay that weakness.
Do you allow Stamina and combat tricks for the fighter?
we're not using the stamina point system, so no on this.
Any language restrictions?
Nope!
Do you require or want a background? How detailed?
If you give me a background I might try to tie it in with sidequests or campaign backstory. Anything particularly special (high stats, uncommon gear) should have a justification in your backstory. It doesn't have to be long, but let it explain where you come from and maybe tie in with the traits you picked.
Do you use background skills?
Yes!
Any restrictions on what I can buy with my money? Cold iron weapons?
No restrictions yet -- but I'll address stuff on a case by case basis.

Glad to have them.
And there will be more to come!
Bring it!

Stormstrider wrote:Any issues with a Nodachi sword?Nodachi is fine, as long as there is some justification for it in your backstory.
Stormstrider: If you don't want your character to be from Tian Xia, you should know that a Falchion is almost the same as a Nodachi. Average damage is 0.5 HP less but it does have the advantage of having a minimum damage of 2, and more consistent damage closer to the average since you are rolling two dice.
Cold iron doubles the price of the base weapon but not the cost to make it masterwork.
If you are going with two-handed weapons you should know that we will be outdoors a lot and having a reach weapon would also be a good idea. The Lucerne hammer does the best damage and can deal blunt or piercing damage; the bardiche crits more often.
Stormstrider |
Already have the Lucerne! Thanks!
And a Composite Longbow (+ 4 STR)!
I'll look into the Falchion, thanks.
Vicon, I'm having some trouble with Hero Lab not allowing me to save my character as a PDF right now, trying to work it out.
By the way, I see you have a link to a map in ROll20, but I can't seem to locate that map? I would like to see it since I have never actually used Roll20, even though I do have the basic free account. Really would like to learn more about it, but ... I need about 20 more hours in my days!!! Hahaha!
EDIT: The Falchion does look nice, but I already wrote up a background that explains the Nodachi. Thanks anyways Azul!
PDF problem resolved, will get alias/profile created and posted asap ...

FYI: We got rid of the Roll 20 thing and are using google slides.

Actually,
The main map for exploration on roll d20 is still viable... and I've been editing it to relate what parts of the map the players have passed through/explored.
PM me your email address and I'll try to add you to the roll20 game and then maybe you'll be able to see the map by launching the game.
Azul IS correct that since resizing maps in Roll20 has been quite difficult for me, we've been using google slides, but I hope to get better at this as we go on.
