Xin is the star of the Shattered Star adventure path. Great miniature. It captures his look perfectly. The facial details are good.

Whats with that hand?

This is a mini with some great features - good color palette, nice level of detail, utility (since I can use it for any wizard really) but for me it is also flawed. The paint is inconsistent across the three I pulled, not just off a little but way out across the three. So surely this is a normal variation in the method of painting and will happen with this type of product? Sure it will, I just didn't seen this difference in anything else from the set. That however is not the big issue fo me, my big issue is with his left hand. The left hand is simply way to large for the mini - not easily overlooked since it's the one pointing. If you look the left hand is huge! Its well out of proportion and marred what would otherwise be a very nice mini for me. The fact that it's still worth 3 stars speaks volumes about how nice the mnini actually is.

This mini is great. He's got a commanding pose and lots of interesting details on his outfit. I've probably got more "dude with a staff looking wizardly" minis than I'll ever have occasion to use at this point, but Xin makes a fine addition anyway.
