About Jensen Roust

Backstory:

Jensen was sent off to the wizard academy at an early age. From day one he was against the desicion but since he was tagged as a talented young prodigy, he was forced to go by his mother. She did this because she was a respected wizard who taught at the academy. He holds no hate for his mother but goes out of his way to make life difficult for the master wizards. All throughout his young training he spent goofing off, and when he was alone at night would do nothing by look to the sea and imagine the adventure that it holds. At that point he decided he wanted to become a pirate and have all the adventure he could ever dream off. But to do this he would need to become strong.

He acknowledged that the wizards were powerful but he didn't want to dedicate his life to the books exclusively. So Jensen took up swordplay and worked to combine the strength of both magic and sword to become even stronger. The teachers didn't mind this at all, it meant he was trying to learn and not goofing off. They brought in another teacher from a far off school to teach him the ways of weaving magic and sword.

Once Jensen finished his training at the academy he immediately set off to find the adventure at sea he had always dreamed of. The Shackles is where he found himself. But his luck was to no avail, the adventure he seeked was going to be hard pressed to find. Port Peril is where he found himself, immediately having a few run ins with some pirates. Not quite what he expected, a bunch of drunkards. So he spent a few years in the port doing various odd jobs, watching various pirate ships come and go. For a few months he even spent his time on a fishing vessel. He learned the ropes of sailing there and gained a love for the art of fishing but it by no means sated his thirst to explore and conquer the sea. He decided to keep fishing as a hobby rather than a profession.

After his stint on the fishing ship Jensen decided to take a more active approach to finding a crew. What really got his blood rolling is the day he saw Avimar Sorrinash, the captain of the Blood Moon in port. Avimar killed an entire company of men for being "too weak for him to bother laying his eyes on." After this Jensen decided to start taking on pirates that happened to be in the harbor as a way to build up a name for himself, and strengthen his resolve. He fights them to become stronger and as a means to catch the eye of some captain, particularly Avimar, to live up to their standards. After all his true goal in life is to one day be the best sword on the best pirate crew and dominate the shackles.

Appearance:

Jensen is just shy of 6 ft tall. He has silvery hair that is slightly higher than neck length. He is clean shaven and wears a coat over his chain shirt. He wears his cutlass at his side. He has a slightly brutish look to him and holds himself in an attentive fashion. He is a tanned half-elf from all of his time at the port.

Personality:

Jensen is a calculating sort. He is not quick to anger and always thinks his next move out. He does his best to hide this as to catch his enemy off guard thinking they have the upper hand. He willingly uses the arcane and martial prowess to his advantage in any situation. His goal in life is to be regarded as one of if not the best sword on the sea, and will do what it takes to get there. He loves a good fight and is no stranger to the drink. He knows the chain of command and how to follow it. Pirates have laws to and without them they would just be anarchist without direction.
