Description:

Garris is 5’11” with lithe muscular frame weighing 170lbs. He has dark brown , shoulder length hair, which he keeps tied back, sun darkened skin, and golden eyes. He wears a wide brimmed and the clothes of a forester. He is quick with a smile and slow to anger. He is used to spending hours without company in the woods, and this shows in his demeanor. He is quiet, but friendly, and very observant. While Garris has been content in his life as hunter, he feels he longs to see more of the world.

Background:

Garris was born in the town of Biston nineteen years ago, and has lived here his entire life. His father, Tilver Bresnik was a trapper in the nearby forest, as was his grandfather. As his father aged, he became less able to do his work in the forest, and Garris was called upon to assist in the family business. Two years ago, his father retired from trapping completely, and now handles the cleaning and selling of the various animal furs and meats which Garris brings home each week. His mother Elena, assists his father in the cleaning of the game, as well as making various trinkets from feathers and bones which she sells at market.
Lately, Garris has been spending more time in the forest and not coming home for days at a time. He brings home as much, or more game as before, but his father worries about him wandering too deep into the Ashwood and warns him constantly of the dangers within. Garris has not told his father why he has been wandering the forests more. He recently ran into a group of rangers, The Knights of the Sword and Sickle, named for their two-handed fighting style using the two weapons, sponsored by the Church of Erastil charged with keeping the nearby settlements safe from the werewolves and undead within, and he has begun training with them.

When not out hunting, Garris can often be found at the Stomping Squat enjoying some ale and time with friends. Truth be told, he spends most time there to be close to Lara, a young barmaid that he has pined for since he was about 12. One of these days, he will work up the nerve to ask her to dance.
