I love a product that sparks my imagination.

5/5

I will echo most of what the previous reviewer stated and also add this....
This is a product that make me as a GM have dozens of cool ideas on how to integrate the contents of it into a cool encounter, adventure, and even sometimes a whole series of adventures.
I loved the different materials used to construct some portcullises, the mechanics behind if/when a portcullis falls on someone or some people, the traps involved in other portcullises and the ideas presented in how much visibility there is from behind one.
This is a no-brainer to me (especially as it is free!) as it will save me a ton of prep work, enhance my games, and encourage me to use a fairly standard bit of dungeon dressing in a much more creative fashion.
Well worth the $1.99 that this was priced at.
The only real drawback to me: it hurts my heart to print the solid black cover and last page but I needed to for the total effect. A lighter shade for printing would be a great option.
I believe I am going to be a Raging Swan fan now....

I like them. A good amount and a good assortment of dice.
The Rundown-
d20s - 18
d12s - 6 (a bit low I thought)
d10s - 21 (seems a bit high here)
d8s - 11
d6s - 30 (14 with numbers, 16 pips)
d4s - 8
The complete set included was a pale whitish with bluish flecks and purplish numbers.....not a bad set but somewhat blech.

Total dice 101.
I am mostly disappointed in the cost of shipping. Why do I pay $13 for shipping (USPS), when I could stuff it into a flat-rate box and ship it for 1/3 of that. Come on Paizo, help us out here. There really is no excuse here.

Haven't Playtested yet, but I really intend to soon!!!

Oh my. Where to begin. Another good SKR and company product! I read through it and felt like I could actually use this to lead my Players through a Mythological Greek movie-style campaign! I can't wait to finish my Savage Tide face-to-face path and start up a short path in this setting! I may start a short PBP also, if I can find the time to.
Good job again, SKR and Co.

Nice bit of work here!

I love this PDF. Just read through it and the backgrounds on the weapons is well written and yet generic enough to be used in almost any setting. It was a great read and has sparked my imagination about weapons in my own games. I will be using this.
I think this is written for 3.0 though so some minor conversions may be necessary.
Good on you, SKR and company.

Wonderful stuff!

This product not only gives a GM so much cool material to use, but it also gives an imagination a kick in the pants! I find that just reading through this has inspired so much more detail in my games descriptions and added a truly unique style to my worlds. Thank you to all who worked on this and a hearty 'Good Job' to all of you!

Wow!

I love this product! Great job re-imagining the monsters. I especially love the details of life as a gnoll. It makes me want to run an all gnoll PCs game just so I can explore their society further! Bugbears are now super frightening, especially some of the variants, and I actually had some nightmares of a bugbear nature! Really awesome that a product can get such a reaction from me. Keep up the good work Paizo!

Don't buy it.

2/5

I gave it 2 stars because the artwork is good. That is the only good thing about the book.
I find the language used in the book to be condescending and belittling to older gamers who grew up on D&D and I think that WotC is just simply out to grab some money with this offering(which unfortunately they got from me also). I bought it mostly because I am sick of hearing second-hand accounts about it on the messageboards. I like a few of the IDEAS for some mechanical changes but there is not a single real rule in the book.
Disappointing to say the least.

I love 'em

I had my doubts, but I love the cards and can't wait to start using them. The artwork is very good and the cards seem like they will hold up pretty well to abuse. I bought 2 packs and have no regrets. I'll be buying boosters when they arrive also, good job Paizo!
