About Fajra

Her parents were clothing merchants in the markets of Katapesh. Fajra is the youngest of three siblings with one older brother and one older sister. While she was young, her parents noticed something strange with their youngest child. The girl would be able to make objects light up almost at random without knowing what she was doing. And then when she was stressed she would start babbling in what they think was another language. Afraid that something was wrong, they took her to the temple of Sarenrae. It was here that it was learned that Fajra was an oracle.

Knowing that she would need lessons to understand what was happening to her, her parents left her in the care of the priests and priestesses of the temple. During her time there, she learned how to develop and use her magical abilities, as well as learned how to defend herself. Her weapon of choice soon became the spear. Unfortunately, she still would break out into another language when she was stressed, which led to some interesting attempts at conversation as she couldn’t understand anyone during those times. The curse was permanent, and there wasn’t anything anyone could do to break her of it, but she did learn that it was Celestial that she was speaking.

Of all of her training, healing was Fajra’s favorite as well as the one she was most apt at. It seemed her blessing came in the form of using Sarenrae’s light to heal people, and that she had a knack for being a little more effective in damaging undead (Cleansing Light Trait). While tending to those who sought healing in the temple, Fajra overheard people talking about this Pathfinder’s Society. She became fascinated by the topic, and would ask questions here and there about it; dreaming about being able to leave the temple and the streets of Katapesh. When she became of age, Fajra thanked her mentors and traveled with a group headed for Absalom to join the Pathfinder’s Society herself.

Pleased to find out that there was a group that had members tailored toward healing not only the ills of the world but their fellow Pathfinder’s, Fajra sought the guidance of the Silver Crusade to better her own abilities and learned how to concentrate her efforts to bring about better healing (Beneficial Touch trait).
