At young age, as with all children from House Breuer, he was fostered out to learn his noble house trade. In Brenog case this was the role of warfare for his noble house had a long standing tradition of military officers and service to the kingdom of Sorryn. Reignier is Brenog foster father and an officer in the army, and he trained young Brenog in the ways of battle.

There was little doubt that Brenog would become a warrior of skill it was in his bloodright to be amongst the very best, but he was always different from the others somehow more gifted. As an adopted child, there was no way he would inherit in his noble house no matter how better and more liked he was than his older brother Maligent, at the most he would aspire to some lofty accommodation and loyal service to his family, but there has never been a good brotherly relationship.

But for all his good and fun behavior, Brenog is feared for his effective ruthlessness and well liked amongst his peers for his commanding presence which seem to be a natural thing. He has a sense of fun, a willingness to cooperate for a common goal, and he delights in drinking a good wine, but in the end he is a good-natured soul, regardless of how intimidating he can't be when it is needed.

When he came of age he was given his noble house outfit. After receiving this honors he left home to become a greater warrior and is now working with Captain John Turnsdale in search of greater glory, to some day outshine his step brother, and maybe some day even forge his own Knighthood or noble house.

Challenge (1/day) (Ex) Once per day, a cavalier can challenge a foe to combat. As a swift action, the cavalier chooses one target within sight to challenge. The cavalier’s melee attacks deal extra damage whenever the attacks are made against the target of his challenge. This extra damage is equal to the cavalier’s level. The cavalier can use this ability once per day at 1st level, plus one additional time per day for every three levels beyond 1st, to a maximum of seven times per day at 19th level.

Challenging a foe requires much of the cavalier’s concentration. The cavalier takes a –2 penalty to his Armor Class, except against attacks made by the target of his challenge.

The challenge remains in effect until the target is dead or unconscious or until the combat ends. Whenever an order of the sword cavalier
issues a challenge, he receives a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls against the target of his challenge so long as he is astride his mount. The bonus increases by +1 for every four levels the cavalier possesses.
