Portuguese Pathfinder Launches in Brazil!

Saturday, July 18, 2015

This past weekend, I was honored to attend EIRPG, a game convention that takes place inside the gigantic Anime Friends convention in Sao Paulo, Brazil! This show heralded the release of the official Portuguese translation of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game!

While many of the gamers in Brazil had English versions of the game, most were very excited to see it released in Portuguese, hoping that the translation would allow the game to become an even bigger part of the game scene in Brazil. I spent most of the show playing games (well, assuming killing player characters counts as playing), giving seminars (with the help of Jessica, my amazing interpreter), and signing books, plush goblins, program books, event tickets, and the walls of the convention (where I also drew a dungeon). All in all, it was an amazing show, filled with passionate gamers, fantastic costumes, and delicious food!

If you ever find yourself in Sao Paulo in early July, EIRPG is a show that is not to be missed!

that is a really good cosplay of the iconic witch, just needs a fox plushy to make it perfect

That cosplay is amazing.

I'll be at Gen Con this year, Jason. Tried to reach you at EIRPG, since we have Claudio Pozas as relative friend to us, but I couldn't find you there LOL. We can solve this with Indy beer for sure.

Am I the only one blown away by the map he's drawing? I've got to practice.

Don't beat yourself up; Jason trained as an architect, so he's an expert at doing that kind of thing really quickly. You should see him open a box of Dwarven Forge and then just assemble something that looks like a cool structure in almost no time at all, the time it would take me to confusedly pull out a few pieces, clumsily try to put them together to no effect, and then yell "Whyyyyyy!" up to the stars above.

Good to know that my architectural degree counts for something!
