Male Eladrin Wizard 22

Move to end in Q 18 and will use my second wind back to 36 hp... and on the next attack made against him Immeral will use his shield utility (regain from ring of wizardry) ( +4 to AC and reflex)

Thats last attack against the wizard took more out of him then though and Immeral retreats back a bit to take refuge behind the rock as he tries to draw up a second wind. He also readies in his mind the words for his shield spell


Sidling painfully around the zone, Immeral takes refuge for a moment from the attacks he is sure are coming. With a gesture, Sir Drzak indicates Lavender as the target and more arrows fly through the air. Only one of them hits ...
Risenguard v Lavender (1d20+26=33, 1d20+26=46, 1d20+26=28, 1d20+26=30, 1d20+26=30). But the one that hits is a crit, 15hp damage to Lavender

Hrmph. Anyone got anything up their sleeves to help Theren make that save? One more hit like that and you're going to be down a warden.

Unable to stop himself, the force of Theren's blow shoves Genryu back into the immobilising zone.

Recharge Unholy Flames (5,6) (1d6=2). No recharge for Sir D.
A soft smile playing around his gaunt, dead face, Sir Drzak advances cat-like on Lam and almost gently drives his soulsword into the paladin.
He's taking a -2 for not attacking Genryu, but he gets a +2 from Gilliam.

"Crawling Vines", spectral vines leap out binding Drzak and pull him closer.

Warden Grasp (immediare reaction), slide Drzak to G17. He's slowed and can now shift until the end of his next turn.


Overlooking Genryu proves to be an error as the death knight is pulled into the immobilising zone.

Oh, guess what? Lance of Faith on Genryu, d20+23, 25, seriously, IC really bites, but at least it is a miss on Genryu. save=19!!! Finally. Now use action point to turn undead.close burst 8, which effects well, everyone left, except maybe g1 inside father theren. d20+27 vs. will, on g2, r8, sd, r9, r1, r2, r3, (43, 41, 29, 31, 34, 36, 46) sd got lucky r8 was closer. damage is 5d10+12, 46 radiant damage to everyone it hit. AND they are pushed 3+4= 7 squares away from me.

"Get OUT OF ME!!!" Gilliam cries with a mighty shout. "Stop making me hurt my friends!!" He shouts as his Lance of Faith goes wide. His eyes clear for a second, and he looks up to the sky. "PELOR!! DESTROY THESE FOUL ABOMINATIONS!!!!!" And his eyes glow bright with holy radiance and light pours from every pore of his being. The entire area is bathed in brilliant radiance.


"You back to your senses" Genryu looks at Gilliam


Gilliam frees himself from the ghostly domination and in one simple move obliterates the battlefield. Divine light from Pelor, channeled through his worthy servant sweeps vengefully over the undead.

The Risenguard implode and Sir Drzak crumbles into a pile of dust. Raging, the expelled ghost is hurled away from the cleric. Only the ghost using Theren as it's armour survives the onslaught.

OK. That was thorough. Your main foe is now Theren. Gilliam you do half damage even on a miss, so Sir D took 23hp damage which with his radiant vulnerability finished him off. G2 is also immobilised until the end of your next turn.

Lam moves away from the battle and calls upon Avandra to aid his friend in time of need.

Move to E16 and invoke my Divine Mettle Prayer which will give theren a save throw with a +8


Lam concentrates hard on freeing Theren from the ghost, willing his old friend to expel the horror compelling his actions.

Theren gets an immediate save at +8

Now that the ghosts are vulnerable once more, Lavender sends a punishing series of force bolts at the nearest (G1).

Immeral eases around the edge of the immobilising zone and tries to follow up Lavender's good work with an attack of his own. The missiles fall hissing onto the ground below.

Please note that Lavender's last attack bloodied the ghost.

Recharge Burst of Terror (5,6) (1d6=2, 1d6=2). No recharge.
Ghostly possession (5,6) (1d6=1, 1d6=6). Ghost 2 recharges ghostly possession power.

G1 extends a spectral hand towards Theren, but the avenger is wary and ducks easily aside.
Spirit Touch (ref) v Theren (1d20+24=27, 2d8+9=16)

G2 swirls ineffectually, and sends another zone of immobilising shadows to hold Lam in place.

Save v immobilisation G1 and G2 (1d20=4, 1d20=20). G1 remains immobilised, G2 saved (and I've wasted a 20 as he didn't even need to roll. Sigh.

Using Refocus Enmity on Ghost 1, then using Overwhelming Strike: 1d20+24=44, 31 damage, still Immobilized.


Theren's wrath refocuses on the recent occupant of his body and his blow causes the insubtantial creature to flinch, hissing with outrage.

"I see no need to hold back since we are almost done with these enemies. MANTLE OF GLORY!!" Gilliam starts to chant as he holds aloft his holy symbol.

With a single powerful gesture, Gilliam immolates G1. In the distance, G2 gibbers and twitches, possibly fearing its own imminent fate.

You'd assume wrong. It hits. Half damage due to the ghost being insubstantial, but a hit nonetheless.

Finally freed from the constricting spirts, Lam thunders across the ice shelf, venting his rage on the insubstantial, immobilised and by now, highly concerned, ghost.

Posting on behalf of Genryu. This seems like the kind of thing he would do.

The old goliath sighs gently, vanishes from sight and reappears in a few steps away from the remaining ghost. Maul held high, he plunges towards the ghost and not even insubstantiality can save the whispering monster from taking bloodying damage.

Used Earthstride to teleport, then charged using Howling Strike.

Immeral does his best to keep the ghost down, but his missiles, like Lavender's, hit only the ground.

Held and blinded, the ghost lashes out with a spectral claw at the warden.

Theren sheathes his swword and raises his holy symbol at the ghost as the feeling begins to return to his legs.

Sheathing my sword, drawing my holy symbol and no longer immobilized.


The ghost is not capable of going pale, but there is a faint quiver in the insubstantial form as movement returns to Theren's limbs.

Lam divinely challenges his foe before striking him

Enfeebling Smite. On a hit the target takes -2 to attacks til the end of my next turn. (-4 if the enemy is not me I assume) (1d20+29=34)

Even with the Combat advantage I forgot to add in I should still miss most likely

Genryuu takes his massive hammer and put away into his tiny bag.


Lam's attack is too much for the ghost and the wavering form disappears. As your last enemy falls, the whispering, immobilising zones also vanish. The keep stands silent once more under the chill, grey sky.

OUT OF COMBAT

Not sure whether to do XP my way - i.e. double so you get the chance to level or not. At normal rates, you get 6,343 each.

Will you be taking a short rest folks?
