This is fantastic!
It is annoying to have to import a map into Photoshop, copy the scale, then move it all around to get a semi-accurate idea of distance.
Another way I messed with was a string marked in increments based on the scale, and stretched around the path taken. Easier to use than Photoshop, but you have to make a new string for every map.
