All-
For whatever reason m computer consistently refuses to load Paizo or send posts. I am posting two and three times every time I want something up. Posting from my phone is slow. So I'l try to tough it out and diagnose the problem when I'm not working. Please be patient with me. I dig the character and everyone's roleplay.

It does seem a bit strange to me that everyones acting as though we know that Haruk's charm person spell has worked, even though no one has actually identified the spell as he cast it.
Without some clarity from Haruk (to be fair, Alazandaru warned him about this earlier in IC) my next action is likely to be to incapacitate the Dwarf.
Remember also he won't do anything he wouldn't normally do without opposed charisma checks. Considering that his 'friend' is a prisoner, thats going to be a lot of opposed charisma checks.
Charm Person's actually pretty weak but its one of those spells that differs from DM to DM.

Not everyone - I'm sitting still and waiting to see what transpires :)
But I'm with AK on the Charm Person account - especially since Alazandaru just bled out his fellow guard....
Note this line in the Charm Person spell - Any act by you or your apparent allies that threatens the charmed person breaks the spell. - interpretation abounds... but one needs to tread carefully...

These are good points on the Charm Person spell. At times it can be difficult to adjucate it as a GM, when and when it doesn't work, under what circumstances, what defines 'threatened'. It could quite easily be said I should not have allowed the spell to go off. The guards were threatened at the time, the PCs attacked his friend, etc.
I could also argue that at the time fo the spell, the dwarf was not threatened, it was two on one against Morthos and Haruk was still supposedly manacled. It could have become broken now though, but at the time of casting it was fine.
Either way, I do believe I was a tad overzealous in allowing it to work, true. I am human. I want everyone to be able to enjoy the campaign, and in doing so allowed my judgement to be blurred, since it's not always fun when your spells don't work. Either way, I did say he was charmed, and I'm sticking to my guns from up to that post. Afterwards, it's based on your all's actions.
Either way, I'll go ahead and throw up a continuation post.

I wasn't really being critical of allowing it to work DM, and I get it :). Just trying to give Haruk a heads up before we slice up his charmed friend, because I already tried in-character.
Its more of a meta-issue for me right now. Alazandaru doesn't know what Haruk cast, nor if it succeeded. he can make assumptions, but in the heat of battle hes not going to take the risk that hes wrong; especially after he explicitly told Haruk to let us know if his charm worked.
It seems to Alazandaru that other prisoners have innate knowledge that the spell was indeed a Charm Person and that it worked.
Edit: Heh. Should get in the habit of checking the IC before the OOC. Its all moot now anyway :)

Two more posts eaten. I don't actually mean to go so long without posts. Looking into clearing out my cache for Paizo tomorrow - this is the only site that does this.
So, erm.....were we really that averse to taking a few minutes to form a plan? I only get two first level spells, ya know. : }

Sorry about my bad posting schedule this weekend. Worked the weekend plus prepping for an audit next week, been hectic. Been trying to post as able but not much luck. Tonight (probably 3-4 hours from this post) I'll get a post up.
Also learned more about google docs and should have better utility with the maps now. I didn't think to upload them as a drawing instead, but that way we can move the tokens around. I tested it and it seemed to work fine.

I suggest that, with the exception of coins, we don't worry about splitting treasure during this section, just take whatever fits your character's needs.
Once we've broken out, we'll start monitoring it and decide on a system we all agree with.

I agree with this as well.

Thanks for answering Mark.
A fighter or any non-caster can take spellcraft too, just the bonus is usually pants as its not a class skill.
I believe the skill is even specifically called out in Alazandaru's backstory.
Would you find it helpful if I put my backstory into a spoiler on my profile? I need to add a few details to it anyway after speaking to DM.

I just wish I'd rolled on my d10s as well. :b
Okay. I'll bite. My curiosity has gotten the better of me. Curious to know what you're talking about. Maybe you meant d20's? Or am I just missing something?(That happens a lot, so, fair warning to you all)

Yea, I guess I'm slightly paranoid as we are all evil characters here and your makin spellcraft checks every time one of us casts...
As long as its not IC paranoia, considering that what hes doing is purely mental.
But i'm not interested in party conflict. I've played in an Evil campaign before and with LE, it can work.

A little under 60. I got 3 10's with the focus/foible system.
However, Alazandarus always going to have a brutal achilles heel; will saves. Will try and shore it up with Iron Will but its never going to be spectacular.
The high int I managed to get is making me consider the Assassin prc.
But anyway... rogue's currently considered one of the weakest classes.

Sorry if it seems like I"m a little flakey at present. At work our audit was moved up 3 months (it's tomorrow!) and since this is the first one for my new boss with our company, it's a tad nerve wrecking (I almost got called in on Easter, while the place was closed, narrowly avoided it). I've been trying to post in my games when able, but it seems like this one has taken the brunt of my current failings. I promise things will pick up after it's over (the next 3 days).

Probably an appropriate juncture to do a cross-post to all my more active PbPs about an interruption to my posting schedule that is imminent.
My wife is about 37 weeks pregnant, which basically means that the bun is fully cooked and ready to pop at any time. This means that at some point in the next 1 day to 4 weeks I will suddenly and without notice disappear completely from the interwebs. I can't say when or for how long, but it will probably knock me out for up to a week or so before my wife and I get back on our feet and I'm of somewhat sound and untired enough mind to jump back online.
So if I do vanish, please don't fret as I shall return :) I would just ask for some leeway on posting frequency for a while as we adjust to the new baby floating around.
