DM, would we be permitted to train for the teamwork feats we do not qualify for and gain them as soon as we meet the pre-requisites? It also gives us some time to be "practising" the techniques as we slowly level. Gives a nice organic feel.
If so, Alazandaru will take Outflank (assuming Morthos is up for it).
Joana |
I think splitting into front line and back line for the purposes of the teamwork feat would be a good idea, that way we all get something more useful and we're more likely to be able to use it.
If we do this, I'd vote for Duck and Cover. Taking the highest die roll for Reflex has much greater potential than just getting a flat +1 per adjacent ally, and standing next to Bostarg's buckler would be a boon to Tatya and her 11 AC (15 with mage armor).

I'd allow that.

Back in KL and will be working on levelling up Bostarg very soon - thanks for bearing with me during the abscence.
For the teamwork feat, Bostarg is 100% happy being a support figure here as he will never really be a combat focused gnome. So it's either take something to help the frontline - or something to help Tatya.
Does feinting in combat require you to be adjacent to the target? - I can't see anything explicitly stating so in the various rule snippets in the PRD, though it would make sense to be so.
Feint Partner - would be enabling for Alazandaru's sneak attacks, plus potentially for Morthos as well if he takes a single bluff rank to be eligible.
Otherwise - I'd be happy to take either Shielded Caster or Duck and Cover as the pair to Tatya.

Just posted the a time skip in Gameplay to advance the story. If there's something you'd like to do during the three months, let me know and we can get into it.
That said, I realized I missed something. Everyone will receive an additional 1500gp that can be spent during this three months to help outfit you (doh!). If anyone has access to any craft feats (I'd have to look), you may use this time to do so.

Another item to place on the table. Another player on the boards, Tirion Jörðhár, has expressed an interest in joining the game. As I believe these games are a group activity, this is not something I will make a decision on alone. This would bring the group size up to 6, which I am prepared to contend with.
The situation explained, I am interested in others opinions on the matter. One thing that will hold true, is that if any one player says no, then it's a no. Due to this, feel free to discuss the topic in OOC, but as for actual decisions, please send those to me via PM. That way if four says yes or I don't care, but one says no, that person isn't singled out. I will of course wait until everyone has PM'd me before informing all of the decision.
Thank you.

Feinting is a standard action. To feint, make a Bluff skill check. The DC of this check is equal to 10 + your opponent's base attack bonus + your opponent's Wisdom modifier. If your opponent is trained in Sense Motive, the DC is instead equal to 10 + your opponent's Sense Motive bonus, if higher. If successful, the next melee attack you make against the target does not allow him to use his Dexterity bonus to AC (if any). This attack must be made on or before your next turn.
When feinting against a nonhumanoid you take a –4 penalty. Against a creature of animal Intelligence (1 or 2), you take a –8 penalty. Against a creature lacking an Intelligence score, it's impossible. Feinting in combat does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
Under normal circumstances, feinting only provides a benefit when you're in a position to make a melee attack. Since Feint Partner allows you to give the benefit to an ally, however, it doesn't explicitly require the feinter to be in melee. My guess is that RAI restricts it to melee, though. Otherwise, it's a shortcut to the effects of Greater Feint, which has a lot more prereqs.

Just as an FYI - I realized late last night that Count Buggula had been reincarnated, so to speak, as a Monk when he came back to life a few weeks ago. Here is my summoner.
I know that he needs some tweaking for 3rd level. If there is some other role you need filled and would not mind a 6th to fill the slot, please let me know.
Tirion/Tohram/most of you know me under several other names

Can I get a +1 enhancement added to my masterwork bow so I don't have to buy a new one?
edit: Never mind, checked the price and I'm just short on funds for that. Unless there was any party treasure/gold that was going to come my way.
Dude! Are you evil or aren't you? Steal some small objet d'art, fence it, and blame it on a servant! (Preferably the one we just got torn to pieces by a devil for the entertainment at our party.)
Bostarg would be happy to share some of his funds with you (and anyone else who might want a tad bit more).
*suspicious glare* Can we get an alignment check on aisle four? Unless you're charging some usurious interest rate, complete with firstborn-son-collateral clause.
Duck and Cover is good by me. You joining us, Aedorn?
Bostarg Halvardonwine |
Level up should be applied in profile now. Just need to pick a couple of languages and spend gold.
As to sharing the wealth.... maybe Bostarg's just a team oriented guy :P
Plus isn't the entrapment method of casinos to offer the first spin for free, then start applying the claws for spin two onwards?
Aedorn |
Haha, you guys are too funny. Just because you're evil doesn't mean you couldn't see that helping someone with common interests might be in your best interests in the long run, and not everyone who's evil is greedy. There are plenty other sins and vices.
So...I'm about 300gp short to enhance my bow. That in the realm of being workable?
Also, Duck and Cover sounds good to me. Honestly for a teamwork feat I'm mostly just looking for something that will benefit you guys since I'll likely have the highest perception, stealth, and reflex saves in the group.
Javell DeLeon |
Yeah I don't have that listed. I completely forgot about that.
Edit: Got it now. I am gonna forget to list stuff so reminders are welcome.
Can we re-attempt at identifying what we haven't yet since we've leveled?
Also, can we sell stuff? That should help Aedorn. I've got armor and a shield to sell that ought to help somewhat.

Morthos, where are we with the loot split? How much do I add to Alazandaru? What has been claimed? I'm a little lost due to my absence sorry.
Levelling up Alazandaru now, expect it to be done within the hour :).
Edit: Done
Alazandaru Viorec |
N.B-
I have given Alazandaru the "Strong Willed" trait as a quick and dirty way to get the effect of the trait I have selected- +2 to saving throws VS charm and compulsion. Eventually i'll add the custom trait myself in Herolab's editor, but I wanted to clarify it before it potentially confused the GM :).
Javell DeLeon |
I've got a list of what's left in Morthos's profile. If you would list those crossbow bolts and potions under Alazandaru's alias, I can delete those.
I've claimed the plate mail. I think everything else is still out there unclaimed. And we've got several things still unidentified.
Once all has been claimed that's gonna be claimed, we can sell what's left.
Javell DeLeon |
Apparently no one else wants the cloack, Buggula. Looks like you get it. I'd claim it if my saves weren't so dang good with my charisma bonus.
Is there anything else that anyone wants to claim? If not, then we can just sell the rest.
And which one of you are going to make spellcraft checks on all the unidentified items?
Can I get a total of how many snakes there were please? I can't remember if it was 3 or 4.
Javell DeLeon |
Okay. For what we can sell, I've got a total of 3367.5g
Longsword 15g
Masterwork Agile Breastplate 550g
Masterwork Shield, Heavy Steel 170g
Mithril Cobra(x3) 3000g
Half for everything except the cobras. If the cobras are only half, then 1867.5g
If it's 3367.5 then that = 673.5g each
If it's 1867.5g then that = 373.5g each
Joana |
AK, you said you were taking Beatrix's cloak, but I don't see it on Alazandaru's sheet.
The remains of the mithril cobras should be trade goods and thus sell for full price like jewels, since we're basically selling them as scrap metal (albeit very valuable scrap metal).
How many Spellcraft checks do we need? 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 121d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 241d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 221d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
I have Tatya just about done. I'm wavering on her feat. I'll have her profile updated tomorrow.
Javell DeLeon |
I was waiting to confirm people were ok with me taking it... Which was confirmation I never quite got. I'll add it to my sheet now.
@AK: Go ahead and add those crossbow bolts and potions of vanish as well to your sheet, if you would. That way I can erase them from the list.
As far as the second cloak, Aedorn said he'd snag it(and I pretty much said just take it) unless either of Tatya or Bostarg want it. I figure since Aedorn was the only one to claim it, he might as well take it.
But it doesn't matter to me one way or another. It's basically between you 3 because Morthos doesn't need it. Now, if 3 more show up, then I'll take one. :)
Alazandaru Viorec |
Ok, so i'm not taking the cloak? Alright. I did try and claim it some time ago but you snooze you lose :). Aedorn, all yours and lets move on.
I just need a figure please, as to how much I can spend.
I've added the bolts from the bolt case and the potion so you can erase when your ready.
As for this bit-
"Bolt 1 x2: Flame bolts
Bolt 2 x2:
Bolt 3 x2:"
I don't understand what it is in reference to or what Flame Bolts are. +1 flaming?
King Markadian V |
Just to clarify, the snakes were full value, and 3 of them as Bostarg pointed out.
Also there should have been 2 cloaks of resistance given at this point(one from the cache in the mithril cobra room, the other from Sir Eldon). One went to Aedorn, I'm not certain where the other went.
As far as the bolts, yes they are +1 Flaming. Also with the time given you should be able to manage to identify all the items (not going to have you make that many rolls that many times).
If it would help, I could establish a loot spreadsheet to assist, giving everyone edit capabilities for it. Just give me the word (already have one in another game, simple matter to copy and edit it).

PLEASE do. I would greatly appreciate it. I'm having a hard time keeping up with it myself.
And since the snakes are full value then everyone gets 673.5g each.
Javell DeLeon |
@KM: Also, if you would, go ahead and give us the identity of the rest of the bolts please? (Joana actually threw out some nasty Spellcraft rolls a few posts up for Tayta, so that ought to cover it)
And possibly the cost of Book #2. I believe we just need that appraised and we can sell it as well.
Thanks.
Edit: And thanks for the spreadsheet assist!
