Bruce chuckled. Well Whitey, while I said I wouldn't vote for you in this terrible business, I might have to add to that Mayor. I'm sure you'd do fine but we'd be woefully lost without your expert hand at brewing.
But you do speak the truth, it will be hard breathing life back into Laniel after everything that has transpired. With work we can do it but it will be a struggle. Granted after this, I think we'd all find it a welcome task compared to what we've had to do.
Bruce nods to Leto and raises his mug. Amen, sir.
Simon Shrewsbury |
Simon gladly hoists a second glass with his neighbors and grins at Bruce's thoughts on Whitey as mayor.
"Come now, Mayor and Brewer have a few things in common, the right ingredients must be selected, a process must be followed, and consistency leads to success. Surely Whitey would make a fine Mayor for New Laniel."
Bruce Stilgrasen |
Bruce sets his empty mug aside and looks imploringly at Whitey, knowing that his life hangs in the balance. My life is in your hands old friend. I only hope that you will see fit to save me this night by tying up the vote. Otherwise an innocent man will die here and you will be left with a killer in your midst.
Simon Shrewsbury |
"Seems unlikely that we'll need an Urban Planning Commissioner anytime soon." remarks Simon as he looks around at the 6 remaining members of Laniel.
"Someone will need to take over care of the Library though, such a fine repository of knowledge shouldn't be neglected."
Simon Shrewsbury |
"Bureaucracy never rests", counters Simon, "however I will certainly be dead as well if you're an innocent man. It is a poker match with our lives as the stakes and we're all in on this hand." Simon raises his glass again, then tilts it back and finishes his drink. "Another please Mr. McWhite, the final hour nears."
Whitey McWhite |
I suppose it is that time and yet I cannot decide. I'm sorry Bruce but one of us has to go. I am not voting for you but I cannot save you. If nobody goes than we will be no closer to solving this problem and will only give the Wolf a better chance of being the victor. Have a glass of whatever you want on me. I'm sure it will not bring you solace but its the least I could do."
Ryuko |
"Solace my ass you worthless bastard!" Simon snaps, his face suddenly tearing into animalistic rage as it stretches and deforms as Alessandra's had before him! A brown wolf suddenly leapt across the barroom towards Whitey, who barely avoided it. Theon, Tristan and the Duke leapt forward to help, unlikely to have much use, but Simon kept his head. He aimed, said a prayer to whatever deity was listening, and then yelled "BRUCE!" As the wolf turned the Late Doctor Lugwaude's pistol roared once more, the final silver bullet chambered blasting forward into the final wolf. The silence after was deafening.
Bruce was Lynched. He was the Stalker.
CONGRATULATIONS VILLAGERS! THE SIDE OF GOOD HAS TRIUMPHED!
