The goblin grins at Nicat when he sees the halfling giving chase before ducking through the doorway to the north of Alaznist's statue.
Nicat continues to chase the goblin-man, darting through the door at the end of the hall.
Spying the evil creature, he casts a spell, attempting to put it to sleep.
Coming into the strange room, Nicat slows down and looks around for any surprises, and inspires his comrades to action, ”It’s lucky he only got a few of us with that yuck-bomb. Now we’ll show him how unlucky he is to have us mad at him!”
"Eyurgh, that's disgusting! Hey, come back here so I can kill you properly!" Conner sets off after the goblin...thing.
Ekan had no sooner thanked their new ally for the use of the healing wand when he found himself struck again by acid as a new foe appeared.
For a moment, he wonders about the wisdom of pursuing a foe down areas unknown, but with two of their ranks already committed, he pursued as well
Evelyn double moves after Nicat, taking out her healing wand as she moves.

Eostre hustles after the group, huffing like an exhausted bulldog.
"Dwarves aren't made for sprinting! Wizards aren't made for sprinting! What makes you think a dwarf wizard will be up for a ruin run?!" she whines.
This large chamber was obviously once a prison, as testified by the twenty cells that line the room's perimeter. A rickety wooden platform overlooks the room, with two flights of stairs descending to the prison floor ten feet below. A five-foot-wide wooden walkway runs from the northern edge of the platform to a passageway to the east.
Nicat's magic connects with the fleeing goblin mutant, but it doesn't work--the goblin turns and sneers at Nicat, baring bloodied red teeth.
A sinister chuckle comes from underneath the walkway as two more dog-legged abominations emerge from hiding and attack!

The goblin spins on his heel and races back across the walkway, stopping short of Ekan & Nicat. The two wrathspawn start running up the stairs to engage!
Nicat sneers right back at the bloody-toothed goblin, then throws another pinch of sand at it, hoping to put it to sleep this time. Once his spell is cast, he moves closer to the mutant goblin, calling out to his companions, "Our luck's still strong, he didn't get away!"
Evelyn moves a bit closer to get all of her comrades within the range of her channel. She focuses and sends out a wave of positive healing energy, excluding the party's enemies from the effect.
"នៅទីនេះអ្នកទៅ! ខ្ញុំសង្ឃឹមថាវាអាចជួយបាន!" Evelyn announces as all of her own wounds heal.
Koruvus giggles madly and falls backwards, snoring.
Ekan feels the channel warm his injuries to mere scratches, "Thank you." and moves towards the abomination to his left hoping to hurt it with his kama.
Ekan's kama rakes across the creature's face, drawing a gout of black blood! The thing now looks uglier than usual.
Conner keeps running, smashing into the wrathspawn Ekan isn't fighting. "Really getting tired of these things!"
Conner's charge fails to yield the results he was hoping for--his tower shield catches on a gap in the floor, causing him to stumble and wildly miss the wrathspawn. The beast pinches the bridge of it's 'nose' in disappointment.

Eostre pants and wheezes as she catches up with the group.
"I knew that overgrown wretch was leading us into an ambush, I just KNEW it!"
She catches up with Ekan and Conner.
"Which one of you wants the size boost? My spells won't be much use on the wrathspawn!"
The wrathspawn that Conner charged at snorts, glancing at Koruvus' sleeping body. It tries to leap across to the walkway, leaving itself open to Conner's attack!
Conner's swing barely misses the creature as it manages to leap across to behind Koruvus. It then delivers a swift kick to the mutant goblin's sleeping form!
"ភ្ញាក់ឡើង, មនុស្សឆ្កួតអើយ!" It barks!
Koruvus awakens with a start, spitting blood every which way.
The other wrathspawn starts attacking Ekan with a vengeance!
The monster bites a chunk out of Ekan's collar and rakes a claw across his chest, causing another surge of anger and pain through the monk. Fortunately, his mental fortitude allows him to focus enough to keep his bearings!
Koruvus tries to get to his feet, leaving himself open for Nicat's attack!
The halfing's swing gets Koruvus, shearing off his already broken armour, but otherwise not harming him.
The goblin's ravaged mouth quirks into a 'smile' and he attacks with his three weapons!
All three attacks miss!
Ekan is torn into, and the monk staggers back for a moment, before retaliating in a blur of action. Control. I need to keep control
Ekan's flurry of attacks rip into the wrathspawn, sending its corpse falling back down the stairs in a bloody spray!
Frustrated by the goblin being awake again, Nicat cries out, "Your luck's run out, ugly gobber! And I'm lucky to have all these friends at my back!" He steps forward and swings his blade at the mutant goblin.
Nicat's sword bites deeply into the mutant goblin's stomach, drawing muddied brown blood from the wound. He *hisses*, more out of irritation than pain.
Conner, his face red, moves up behind Nicat. "Why are you in front!?"
"Because he's an idiot, we've been over this!"
Eostre begins casting her spell and holds her hand out to Conner, preparing to increase his size.
"We have enough trouble with rage monsters as is without snapping at ourselves," Ekan declares.
Evelyn moves up to Ekan and places a hand on his shoulder. A green glow, as soft a color as the green of Evelyn's eyes, spreads out from her hand and Ekan's wound closes partially.
The wrathspawn glares at the party as its opposite number is easily felled. It tries to leap back to the stairs to engage Conner...
...and unfortunately, doesn't quite make it.
In fact, it bangs its head on the stairs as it tries to grab the edge.
It slides down the side of the stairs before giving up in frustration and going up the stairs the old-fashioned way.
Koruvus twirls his weapons and starts swinging wildly at Nicat again!
Emphasis placed on 'wildly'. Nicat doesn't even need to dodge.
"Hey Conner!" Nicat calls out, "if you're so set against me being in the front of this fight, why don't you take out this ugly fellow? Then the front will be over by you!"
He then swings his blade at the many-armed goblin before him, hoping this fight ends soon.
Nicat scores a more decisive blow this time, burying his blade in the mutant goblin's belly. Koruvus HOWLS and snarls!
"Stop telling me how to kill things!" Conner moves to the top of the stairs, his shield set as cover. "Nope!"
Eostre's spell completes, turning Conner the size of a giant!
Evelyn casts guidance on Ekan. "ចូរទៅទទួលពួកគេ!"
Ekan whirls on the next nearest foe moves to it and strikes again, this time aided by bardic inspiration and divine oracular energies both.
Eostre continues casting, this time turning her attention to the goblin locked in single combat with Nicat. She takes a deep breath and...appears to scream at the top of her voice at the mutant goblin...but no sound comes out. Koruvus, however, hears a terrifyingly loud shriek.
Koruvus barely blinks as Eostre's magical scream echoes in his ears.
If he can't weave or get into the action, Ekan simply calls out, "Sorry, I'm blocked from helping."
The wrathspawn, frustrated by Conner's shield in the way, retreats down the stairs as Ekan comes around the other side. The beast runs up to him and bites!
Ekan easily dodges the clumsy beast's attack.
Koruvus, displaying either sheer bravery or suicidal overconfidence, continues to hack and slash at the hobbit who just refuses to get hit by him!
While he misses with his sword & axe, the dagger barely manages to nick Nicat's face. The mutant goblin *seethes* with frustration!
"Ouch!" Nicat cries out. "That was a lucky shot, but that's the last of your luck!" He then swings at the mutant goblin again.
Koruvus parries Nicat's swing with his longsword, giggling to himself.
Now in the fight again, Ekan strikes with his Kama
"I'm out of halfway decent spells!" Eostre moans.
