So, we have a bit of an issue, and its the reason I haven't thrown up a new post:

This combat was intended for five PCs, not four. I am unsure what happened to Poppy/Ed. He and I got into a bit of an argument in another game. Nothing serious, and I told him we were fine, and to come and reply, but for some reason, he never did.

I'm not sure what to do now. I could DMPC a 5th, I could see if we can recruit a 5th(and possibly sixth) or I could tone down this combat a fair amount.

I will leave this all up to you four, but I want to hear from all of you before making my decision.

I'm fine with any of those. I'd say whichever is easiest for you.

Would you guys be ok with each player rolling to thus randomly decide what to do? Thereby keeping with the overall theme of the game?

Sometimes thinking of gaming at 3:30 in the morning, isn't the best of ideas lol.

I'm sure you don't Fig, but how do you plan on healing any party member who ends up going down?? That whiskey is good, but not that *good* lol

Heal checks, I mean, really you gave us max HP and what not to deal with this and we've already deal with Spiders, Goblins arent too much higher. If need be I could ask a friend to join, but the fight already happened.

Though I guess they would roll to the same as us.

Friend is the one rolling in the recruitment thread as of this moment. Were they supposed to have different rules as you wanted a healer/someone with healing or not?

Wait we don't have any healing? Wow I had completely missed that.
My only concern with bringing anyone new in is our lackadaisical posting rate... if they're fine with that then let's do this.

Yeah, we have a Rogue (me), Barbarian (Whiskey), Shadowcaster (Qiu), and Bard (Sanobi) who have posted recently. A bard CAN learn healing magic, but they're not exactly a specialist. (And I don't know off hand if Sanobi has any healing magic.)

I'm fine with rolling for a decision as well. 8^)

I did plan on taking some healing spells, sometime next year when we actually level up. :)

Of course, I can use cure scrolls in the meantime.

A magic item I often include in my campaigns (which have revamped magic use), are spell pamphlets, which contain a spell, but instead of being expended, the caster uses one of their own spell slots. Takes at least a full round to use, or twice as long for longer casting times. Might be something to consider.

Tuyena, I posted asking if healing was acceptable, and if the slow pace was OK and never got a response.

I just hit a brick wall trying to figure out how to stat up the only one who had healing options, the Inquisitor.

I'll try to figure out something.

Out of Inquisitor or Alchemist, which do you prefer? Alch can heal via the Chirurgeon archetype, while Inquisitor can do so as well. Not sure if there's a healing archetype for them, but just having access to CLW will help.

Also, how do you guys feel about going back to 6 and grabbing that other player who posted recently?

Sure. Alch however isnt really a healer because it has to pass out its items to work and you STILL have to drink them.

Ok here she is, I think her crunch is done. After that I'll get to work on backstory if she checks out.

I don't know how long till we level, but I can heal once we reach that point, so it isn't like we need full time healer. Hadn't taken it yet because spell known limit is just too few.

Looked over the sheet Tendel, and it seems good to me.

Figaro is pretty resistant to getting hurt. It tends to die before him.

Either way is fine by me.

Just a heads up. This weekend will be crazy for me due to work. Will try and get a post up, but might not be till Mon or Turs at the latest.

For when my next turn comes: Did I manage to get to a spot where I can 5-ft. step into a flanking position?

Could say you were next to Figaro, which would make more sense about him protecting his pretty aquatic friend. And instead of him going to the kobold he can 5ft step to assist on flanking.. since he didnt drop the Goblin apparently.

Possibly. I am assuming, however, that our Great and Glorious GM is more-or-less keeping track of positions, so it would be up to him.

Eh, for this combat, I'm not going to be a stickler for positioning.

You come up with a reasonable way for Syn to flank and that's good enough

As some of you might have heard from me here, or in other campaigns, I have found a job in Japan teaching English. I have been packing and busy tying up loose ends for the past week/week-and-a-half and I apologize if this has screwed with my posting rate. I am posting this because tomorrow I am heading to Salt Lake City and will be boarding a plane to leave the country the following day. When I arrive, it will be flurry of moving in and starting my new job As such I may not be able to post until next weekend. I don’t however know what the situation will be like until I am there and may not have access to the internet for personal use for longer, though I highly doubt that will be the case. I will get a post (or may already have one) into the gameplay thread, and if I am holding up combat or roleplaying please feel free to bot me! I’m sorry if this causes any problems and I hope to be able to post again soon.

Since Qui is possibly going to MIA, I've reached out to one of the applicants that did not get chosen, to join us, to help out in his potential absence. If Qui is able to post often enough to not really matter, then we should be back up to six players.

Also, heads up to *both* new players, after this combat is over(or possibly during, depending), I'll basically be DM 'porting you in.

Hello, ‘ello I’m back! I will have internet access and even better a phone (again…) with internet access! But, right now I will have to use a friends internet connection for a bit until I can get those set up. (Maybe next week sometime?) My schedule is liable to become more busy than before but much more consistent. (No more part-time retail work, yay) I’ll hopefully be back into the swing of things shortly.

I was planing on getting another post together but it looks like I can't do much new...

It would be hilarious if I made the little whelp my minion. Now I can't wait for the leadership feat. An army of minions at my command! XD
