Hello, discussion thread!
This first post is to set forward a few groundrules. Forgive me if I miss something, I'm trying to cover all of my bases.
First is that I expect at least one post per 24-hour span per player. If you don't post, no big deal, I'll just DMPC you as I feel necessary to keep the story going, especially during combat.
Prepared spellcasters, at the beginning of each in-game day, I'd like a spoiler with the spells you have prepared for the day.
I will run combat as the following: When combat is declared, I'll have everyone roll initiative and post their first action. When all of the actions are completed, (and I've also rolled initiative) I'll post stating what happened that round, and then declare round two. Rinse and repeat.
All posts in the gameplay thread will be in-character. OOC discussion will be for the discussion thread. That thread will also cover any rules questions that you have for me.
I'd like you to format character actions and character dialogue differently. My preference is that dialogue is bolded. In addition, (this seems pretty standard, but I'll mention it anyway) spell names should be italicized.
Experience will be granted with the completion of every encounter, but no leveling-up may occur unless you rest.
Also put a spoiler in the discussion page for me telling me what you got from the level-up. (e.g: 1 rank in linguistics, 1 rank in intimidate, 1 use of smite evil, two spells known, burning hands and shadow conjuration, +1 BAB, +1 fort save.)

Alright, those of you chosen, please get acquainted, I'll put up some gameplay when everyone's noticed and reported in.

I'll get Saren all nice and prettied up with formatting, and figuring out a few more wands we may need before entering the tomb.

Also Saren has many different AC modifiers at any given time. I'll figure out an easy way to list them and keep track of them for you as well.

Conditionals:
AC: Mage Armor +4, Shield +4, Crane Style +4, Mobility +4, Large -1, Ki Point +4 = = = ATTACK: Large 3d8+8; Reach, Crane Style -1 Atk = = = SPEED: Expeditious Retreat +30ft, Ki Point +20ft

Also Sir Garret, you get +4 on Crane Style because you have 3+ ranks in acrobatics

Garret Ravencourt's got a pretty good Disable Device skill. If anything, a detect traps spell would be good cause he can't find magic traps.

Greetings, fellow death-by-unimaginable-horrors seekers!

I will probably be focusing my prepared spells on divination our first day, as I think getting as much scouting and pre-knowledge as possible is a wise bet. One idea I'm very much interested in is using arcane eye combined with arcane sight to scout ahead as much as possible. Hmm...just realized without darkvision, that's not going to be very useful. GM - I used a goodly portion of my starting wealth to buy scrolls and scribe them into my spellbook. Is it okay if I swap detect thoughts for darkvision? I don't have enough money to just buy another scroll and scribe it in.

Also, I would like to cast a harrowing for each party member before we dive into the tomb. Never know what you might find out...

Assuming they're the same spell level, yeah that's fine.
Does darkvision apply to your arcane eye in addition to you?

They're the same spell level. Arcane eye states it sees exactly as you would if you were there.

I see you're going to be at least a bit smart about this lol. I thought about unleashing this tomb on my RL group, but I realized they'd just all die and then hate me.

I've learned a few tricks from the group I GM'd Slumbering Tsar for. The wizard in that game was quite paranoid - much more so than Gralamin will be, I'm sure.

Swapped Repel Vermin for Restoration and got a bunch of diamond dust. At worst, we can throw it in the air and sing David Bowie songs.

I don't think we know IC that you're a summoner, do we, Holly? You have summoning qualities in spades if we're going to whomp up some earth elementals. That would poof your centaur though, yes?

You probably know she's a magic user, though.:) And yes, it poofs the centaur - I can put it back on though, right? THat's one thing about Summoners I wasn't quite sure of.

Aye, you'd just a plain half elf for a time whilst using your summons, then summon up the centaur-envelope in a ritual lasting one minute. As long as the eidolon isn't slain, it can be summoned and dismissed in the same day as many times as you'd like. I assume you'll be most comfy in merged form.


K, just making sure - someone was like 'you need summon eidolon!' And it confused me. Holly's happy to summon some dudes. She can summon a bunch of medium ones.

That spell summons the poor beast even after it has to go home to heal. Regular eidolon summoning is different. Your fused form reminds me of A Wrinkle In Time, or maybe John Varley's Titanides, if you know them.

I feel super dumb right now. I just realized that I can put Magic properties on Amulet of Mighty Fists. Haven't used the item since 3.5. Can I change it from a +2 to a +1 Undead Bane? It falls within the character and module concept. >_>
