Draxia would careless as long as she gets the victims stuff, and maybe some fun before hand as she was a scavenger and just recently became a "honored" member of the tribe instead of just the dross on the fringes

Does Anol's previous account count toward his "tale?" It's not really in his nature to drone on about an even past the cold unembellished facts.

Tigerwolf is pretty adamant that people try to prove their worthiness by the stories they recount, your previous account of the story was also wrong on a few points so I don't think it would be a good idea for you to use that again.

It wouldn't have to be long, as some members have shown, but I'm not sure it will bode well to not make the attempt at all.

Also it must be personal. The recounting of the Bonfire Fields... well it didn't state for Karol any personal accomplishment.

Odak's simple lines and Greez's were enough for them to understand.

You are in front of the council, an invited guest, so this is a rare chance to get in good with a lot and gain influence in the tribe.

I think Anol might just ride off into the sunset. I'm low on time these days, and this seems like a good enough place to stop.

It's been fun you guys! I'll keep my eye out if RL ever dies down a bit.

In general that is because i would see bards/skalds as tellers of stories of others, or events they have heard of or seen. Personal boasting would be secondary to this, although i can see why in general that is important in the social make up of the tribe. In many cultures the boast or brag was important (vikings did this for example or so i believe).

I can understand the sentiment of a Bard telling the story of others, although I remember Karol doing a lot of axing back at the final confrontation with the Weedy Lady, you could probably talk about that!

We can understand, but the Chief IS asking for a reason.

Is anyone else going to contribute. I haven't done Tigerwolf's yet either but I wanted to get everyone elses stories in first.

Alrighty, as long as some people speak up that aren't just Odak and Tigerwolf, we should be good.

I'm already debating whether I should install a 'scene pass' limit to how many times your character can pass on a task or whether I should call for a 'first come, first serve' and limited how many of the group can pass and letting the first ones go free. Sometimes saying some stupid can just as valuable as saying the right thing!

GM

As me and Moshado discussed, we figure that we'll be able to play and conduct combat as one group despite the numbers, but we also want to speed up the way rounds are conducted so they don't drag on too long; this means on a daily or bi-daily basis when people don't take their combat turns, it may be up to the GM or PC allies to give commands in their stead.

> Remote Control Allies <

To do this the premise relies on PCs who are lacking direct control of their player are to act like Hirelings who do as they're instructed as long as it's reasonable and they're not being bombarded with requests from multiple active players. Next, everybody currently involved in the game should start setting up a number of pre-made commands or Paradigms which involve specific options your character does, like tasks.

A few of Odak's Commands are;
"Odak, defend X": Order Odak to move to target ally X or self. Odak will use Total Defense and grant it's target his tower shield bonus (+5) to AC whenever possible. Odak may use Swap Places psionics to teleport himself and his target ally into each other's spots to take the hit for the target ally.
"Odak, Attack X": Order Odak to move toward an enemy unit to attack with his greatsword. Odak uses 'Inevitable Strike' Psionics (1PP) to gain +5 ATK before his swing.
"Odak, Attack Y, don't miss!": As Attack X, however he uses Inevitable Strike to hold one turn to boost his ATK bonus to +20 instead. For when time is free but losing is not an option.
"Use Empathic Transfer on X": Order Odak to use Empathic Transfer psionics to convert damage from target X into healing. Odak will refuse to use this ability if he has low health.
...etc

The quotes are what I've named the commands but you don't literally have to say them out loud. The idea is that the command names are shorthands to get Odak to do what you want when he is not being played by me. Furthermore the commands should be specific enough (unlike the examples here) to provide SOMEONE ELSE the means to reproduce abilities that would otherwise be unknown to another player. I would replace the italics names for powers and put their actual Pathfinder SRD page as a URL, providing DCs for abilities with saves and the like.

Another way of thinking about it is that you're playing a play diagram of your character so that they won't be stuck around doing nothing if they have a turn or two skipped. I'll be sure to create Odak's Paradigms as an example on his Paizo profile to be easily looked up. If you expect to be away for quite a while you're even more likely to need these Paradigms so you can automate your character while you're away.

Female Ogre HP: 92(108) / AC 17(15{17}) / F:+8 R:+7 W:+2(+4) Evasion / NatDR 3/- ArmDR 6 ResCold 1 / DrkVis 60'Ft Perc +10 SMotive +10 / Init +2 /Speed 40'ft

[Florida update] Sounds good, I'll whip mine up when I get back but Runts(or Wolfrager now :D) should be rather easy, 'hit the biggest scariest thing with an ice-club'

Giant Male Orc HP 72/72, AC 19 T18 FF14, Saves Fort+9 Ref+8(evasion) Will+9 (+2 all enchant spell/effects), Init +4, Acro+17, Percep+10, Climb+10, SenseMotive +8, Heal+3, Ki 5/5 Monk/8

The large orc monk is to simple minded to make use of those type of things. Though if did would need TOO many with all the variation of unarmed fighting moves potentially could do.

Well Greez, the commands and written explaination is mainly for player use, not the characters. It's for when you're not around to play your character and people really need some help. Me and Tigerwolf are planning to run combat on a round-per-day basis.

I spent some time today updating the character line up, adding Turgrim and Runt to the roster.. I hadn't realised that since Anol left, there's only two PCs left undrawn by this point so why not? Doing it to scale, I noticed that Wolfrager at 9ft is actually much smaller than the others giants, MUCH smaller. Not sure whether the size classification should be Large or Medium with Large benefits; though changing anything might ruin the damage dice involved...

Female Ogre HP: 92(108) / AC 17(15{17}) / F:+8 R:+7 W:+2(+4) Evasion / NatDR 3/- ArmDR 6 ResCold 1 / DrkVis 60'Ft Perc +10 SMotive +10 / Init +2 /Speed 40'ft

A typical adult ogre stands 10 feet tall and weighs roughly 650 pounds.

Ogres seem to be like the dwarves of the giant races so with average being 10ft I figured 9ish for for her being a runt, also Odak that picture looks amazing I had meant to send you along some info when you requested it but never really found the right words.

Giant Male Protector, 15ft tall, 3,960lbs. ||| •HP: 84/84, •PP: 28/28, •AC: 14 (ADR 13), •Saves: +11/+1/+5, •ATK: +7, •DMG: 3d6+7, CMB/D: +13/22

Thanks! Truth be told female characters were always the trickiest gender for me to sketch because it requires a lot more knowledge and finesse to get them looking feminine, and what with Wolf-rager being an Ogreress it was going to be a tad harder to get her, looking like a her.

I knew despite her size she was still a giant type and even with rogue levels she was mainly a barbarian so she had to be strong looking. The head is heavily influenced by the avatar of yours including the black lips and seemingly long hair. I suppose the rest of the time I was thinking 'curves curves curves' and using subtle tricks with the eyes and fingers to distinguish them from my male characters.

As the picture states, I still need to do some work on her regarding the clothing and line cleanliness but it's a good start.

GM

• Alright party members, now that everybody has their tattoos of honour it's about time we get started with the second mission. I'm going to pull a Moshado and say that the team will be moving out towards their destination starting MONDAY (23rd), with time to manage any inventory, builds and roleplay in the meantime.

Furthermore I want to take that time to perform a roll-call for EVERYBODY involved in the game and their current status as a character and a player. I need to be able to know that people are reading posts like this and that they're also still paying attention to the game and contributing to some degree. This is important because I want to know if people are super busy or worse yet, dropped off the game without telling Me or Moshado.

• As me and Moshado discussed, we're going to try to bring the groups together in one game. This could mean that in combat there will be more, or more powerful enemy units to face to compensate for the high team count. Additionally combat progresses much more quickly than you may be used to, battles already take ages to do in real time, we don't need lackadaisical forum-time posting making a round stretch half a month; more information on time limits when we reach our first battle.

Assume that if nothing happens by the end of the day after a GM post, the scene moves onto it's next step, a default guideline.

> SUMMARY <
To reiterate,
Please post once with your status to let us know how many players are ready to play the next mission on Monday!

> NEW MISSION STARTING TODAY (MONDAY 23rd) <
Alright, it's monday and the new mission is about to start. Almost everybody has responded to the rolecall apart from DRAXIA and MOGWAG is going to be absent for another week. Those two will follow along as a separate group until their players return to reclaim them. I will be monitoring everybody's contributions to the game on a daily basis whenever possible, I will try to arrange a nice surprise to those who post frequently, roleplay often and resolve choices quickly.

> ABOUT THE GIANT PCs <
• Me and Tigerwolf discussed this recently, about me making too many house-rules in such a short space of time and to let changes pan out first before fixing things. With that said some PCs are being adjusted to what is typical in the Vanilla ruling;

• Longstrider giants (WOLFRAGER, MAJUBA and ????) have 10ft natural reach and can move at 40ft base speed.
• Broadback giants (ODAK, GREEZ and ????) have 10ft reach and 30ft base speed. Keeping them in line with non-giant PCs.

This will hopefully simplify the combat-specific details between PCs of all sizes. Wish you luck and hope you enjoy the next installment of the campaign.

Yes, although Odak is a little on the pale side due to his stone giant influence, most Golians tend to possess human-like colouration; pink, tan and dark.
