You are at what seems be a way point for carriages or other transports. No one else there. In fact, it looks like noone has used this station stop in decades. You fear the platform you are on might cave in any second. Yet this is where you are to meet the one who will take you to your employer.

I don't like this. Kale idly sheathes and unsheathes his short-sword while stroking the fur between Amir's ears.

Bartleby rocks back and forth on his heels animatedly. Next to him is Martin a huge ape, and curled on the ground are the animated necromantic creations of Bartleby, two skeletal lions. While macabre, they are just a collection of bloodied bones. Bartleby has attempted to reduce their overall ick factor by wrapping them in some rags and covering them in some canvasses.

Probably have my pony along too, not sure. Don't want a huge menagerie of stuff though.

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 4

Jack whistles lightly to himself as he lazily gazes around

Janji fidgets excitedly, grinning like a fool. It had been a while since his last adventure!

Make a perception check. Sight based

Feel free to roll these kinds of things for me, in general. Speeds things up.

will try to remember :P

In the distance you see a carriage. The odd thing. No dust or noise from it. But it is coming to your... "station"

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Bartleby claps his hands together rapidly and squeals a sort of childlike high pitched shriek of excitement.

Pondering the carriage, Bartleby decides to fold up his lions into a some large bags and carry them.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Hmph...the old man shoulda gave me more information.

Janji smiles and twiddles his thumbs.

What you see as the carriage finally pulls up is not what you expected
The carriage is trimmed in gold and other precious stones and metals. The wood looks like darkwood. The smell is that of brand new wood.

The driver is cloaked, but one can see imprints of pointed ears, so some sort of elf, but nothing else can be seen of the driver

The horse... well. Those things arent normal horses.
This eerie horse-like creature's skin is an inky blackness. Fire spurts from its hair and nostrils, and its hooves spray sparks.

Knowledge Planes DC20:

These horses are Nightmares. Extra planar. Usually evil creatures. They can fly. Hence no hoof sounds. And their smoke is not a good idea inhale

Janji calls to the driver. "Hello, sir! I assume you are our ride for this evening?" Janji looks at the horses with mild terror. "L-lovely horses you have here!"

The coachman simply turned to look at the speaker, then back to the front

Inside the coach a old sounding voice came

"Ah... good to know people responded. Please come inside and we can go. I wish to have this matter settled before my mistress returns"

As he finished speaking, the door opened. Inside is the same old man who set up the posters. The inside was just as intricate as the outside. Expensive materials. Lush seats and bejeweled trimmings

"Follow along Amir."

Kale clambers into the coach. "Who is your mistress anyway?"

-Posted with Wayfinder

"Oh. Her name is..." he looks around then whispers "Her name is Nox. But do not tell anyone. She doesnt like that. Only allowed to tell you because you are doing me a favour"

"And who, or what, is Mistress Nox?"

-Posted with Wayfinder

She is my mistress. Human I believe. Rich and powerful." he says in his shaky voice.

You will notice that outside you have been traveling. Woods woosh by, as you go deeper into what seems like a forest.

unless u have more questions, you will arrive at her place to do the job

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

I enjoy a good mystery, but what are we going to be clearing out for your mistress? he asks a slight crack in his voice. He is accustomed to the strange and weird, but even this is a lot for Riggar to absorb.

"All i know is the lower floor is over run by large spiders, completely messed up the reception hall, i heard rumours as the staff fled that on an upper level on of the Mistress's trophies came to life, from there i am not sure, non of the staff from the upper floors came down..." you can hear the fear in his voice

Bartleby's eyes grow large and the pupils dilate, like a cat's who sees a bug crawling up the wall. "Fascinating!" His short legs kick and he fidgets in his seat, and he peers out the window often. "Hey Martin! Ready for some strangeness?" He asks his trusted ape companions sitting next to him.

"I just hope Bob is fine... he is an excellent cook... when this is over, or if you meet him on the upper levels, and he is still there, you should take a taste of his food"

Im here, should i just fwd this along?

Okay, fast fwd. just in case

The coach finally stops, you are at the base of a very tall, black tower, so black, it as if the light itself is being pulled in. the doors at from entrance is closed.

If you have Engineering, or proffision or craft in smithing, you may make a check

- INACTIVE -

A check to do what? Are we getting out of the coach?

Crafting, aid Riggar: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

for the tower itself ;)

Janji gawks at the huge, obviously evil tower. Nice place. It's a shame we're probably going to wreck it a little.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar gets out of the carriage at looks at the imposing black structure before him. He rubs his beard, and thinks what it could be made out of to "absorb" light the way it does.

craft: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

yes, craft (smith/armor) I have +13. Not counting the spell bonus since it isn't always there

what was the roll? Craft (??)

"Oooooh", says Bartleby as he hops from the carriage. "Come Martin." He has his huge ape help unload the skeletal lions bundled in packs and unfolds them and gets them back out.

"Fancy Tower."

- INACTIVE -

Kale climbs out of the coach and surveys the tower. Stay near me, Amir.

Rigger:

This entire tower, is made of Adamantine. Even more so... not a single seam. If this was carved out of this large of adamant, you have no idea who could be this perfect. That. Or it was magically put here

You are at the front doors.
As the old man climbs out, the coach leaves
"Well, here we are, you have to work your way up the tower. So you can clean it out. Once again, thank you for helping me"

-Posted with Wayfinder

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar's jaw drops as he realizes what he is staring at...

This place, is incredible. The whole thing be made o adamantite. The real stuff, whoever made this, I sure hope were a dwarf. No seams, cracks...just flawless stone. Beaty she is.

He than turns to the old man, are there any wards we should know about?

"No. No wards. Not on the first few floors that i know of. Upper levels i can not say. That is reserved for special visitors that are invited by the Mistress herself"

-Posted with Wayfinder

Kale looks at the others. Shall we?

Answering through a mouthful of cookies, "shhurre, rlets grooh!"

Bartleby fires up a light spell and some detect magic and gives a thumbs up, Martin close by and flanked by his 'pet' lions.

The doors have a feint magical aura, transmutation you think, but other than that. Nothing

- INACTIVE -

Kale walks up to the doors and taps on them with his Guisarme.

Male Human Bard (Archaeologist) 4

Jack follows along behind whistling to himself.

As you get close to the doors, they simply slide open, revealing a dark unlit area.

DV/Perception DC20:

You see a lot of spider webs here, the place has been trashed. If this was a reception hall, it won't be for a while again

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

Kale takes a few moments to fiddle with a wand before going in.

Activating Natural Armor adaptation and casting Barkskin on myself and Amir. That is all my spells for this encounter.

Bartleby follows Kale in with his retinue.

I will pass out some resistance orisons, but they won't last terribly long. Only just in case there is some initial trap or event.

- INACTIVE -

I forgot earlier that I was casting the spells of Barkskin from the wand I previously acquired. I still have 2 spell slots for this encounter. The first one is Lead Blades, and the second one will be... Savage Maw, if that is allowed. Otherwise, Acid Maw.

HP: 6+? Dwarf Stone Warder Sorcerer (Deep Bloodline)

Riggar, looks at the...reception hall, or what used to pass as one. He looks at the mass of webs, trying to spot if there are any lurking spiders.

per: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Not spotting anything, he takes his hammer and starts to bash the webs down.

Those that went inside, please make reflex saves as out of the dark webs are shot at you

RS19, if you fail your are entangled

Sorry, been hectic this side. but im back
