You know, I had to open my big, uh... keyboard, and say I was coming back. Then I got saddled with working 7 days a week, again, at a post that is suppossed to hate overtime. Thank you for the extra hours though, I need the money :)
In all seriousness, I think I will find somewhere to reinsert myself, if anyone has need of someone of my talents...

So I had time set aside to update the game yesterday. And then my son's school messed up his schedule for the fourth quarter in a row. Nothing like a 0% batting average. >.<
Anyways, that time was spent comforting a crying kidlet. But he's bounced now and is dealing. So let's see what I can crank out before I fall asleep. :)

Working with friends from my church and their photography business this weekend at a gymnastics event.
I'm in for a weekend of screaming little girls and overbearing dance moms,[sarcasm] so that'll be fun...[/sarcasm]
Good news is that I'll have plenty of posting time intermittently, as no one is there between grades. I actually slept for about a half hour last time.

I would like to point out that both of your posts ignored the fact that Vai's father is right there watching over the body. It might be a good idea to just ask him to put a screen up....and yes, I will allow a minor retcon here since we had a lot of time between the start of the scene and now and obviously folks forgot who was present in the scene.

We often have double or triple ignores happen.
Heh.

Alright, no hope of getting posts up tonight. I was hoping, but the lack of oxygen is getting to me.... (Spring allergy season has begun and has triggered my asthma something fierce, I had a bad asthma attack earlier this evening and am still exhausted from that and the medicine to treat it. And it's time for another dose. Bleh. It always gets worse at night. :/ )
Anyhow, I think it's time for some rest if I'm fortunate enough to be able to sleep. Always iffy when the asthma acts up.

I wonder, is Arthur always like that? I mean, Mel did what was asked, but still not good enough?
whoops, somehow I missed that
As to vai's father, 1) I'm not sure Arthur knows his relation to the deceased, and 2) if he would voice his objections either time he spoke on the subject, Arthur would begrudgingly drop itSo, is melody going to retcon her post? My retcon is pendin her's if she's going to have one.

Yer applying real world physics to magic.
Magic makes your visual reflection or display disappear. It doesn't speak of infra-reds or UV, or spectrums of the EMW.
Besides visible light (which we humans perceive) doesn't include the IR band/range. Magic blocks/obscures visible light, not ALL light.
Ergo, if someone can 'see' the heat of someone, you'd need magic to mask the 'heat', like obscuring the 'fire', not a specific wavelength.
:P
More of a cross genre issue, imho-- not really a 'factual' conversation.
True, a cross-genre issue, but unfortunately this is a cross-genre game.
I merely point out that non-human creatures that exist can see into the infrared bands of light (including plenty of breeds of snakes, for example) and invisibility still works against them.
As you said, it's not super important, but in both a high-science and high-tech game I think there's merit to sorting those issues out just in case, given the highly mish-mash nature of our setting.
Also, sorry again for the slow posts. In exam time for me.

Anyone waiting on my peeps?
Location check with bonus superhero names:
Archena, JurasiGal- Awkwardly sitting in the corner of M(r)s. Jones' room.
Fanz, Timbersquirrel- Hands on, project based learning.
Hermes, Mechaman- Waiting for Arthur to get yelled at.
Kevin, Meltman- I think Vare was going to say something to him.
Lewis, The Jabberwockito- Having a small panic attack in the corner of the meeting room.
Lim-Môr, The Nephilym- Being a nerd somewhere. People can find him if they're interested.
Rakki, Popstar- Still awkward Yokai.
Sara, BeastHeart- Might be her turn. Might be you guys'. I'll look.
Shiro, Pandamon- Prepping for class.
Tybs, FrostCat- Life is complicated and radiation sucks. With Pyry. That dialogue went "cold" a while ago.

Tamrin - Gunslinger of Tomorrow |

Whoopsy - looks like my focus on the pending battle caused me to miss the beginning of this filthy hot mess.
Lemme see here....
I think Mel only intended to move Vai out of the center of the room (so-to-speak) at least give a little more room to move a bout. she didn't want her removed from the lab.
but yes, I did not realize vai's father was there.
[Waves]
I never left the room, no. Or Vai's side, technically. (^-^)whoops, somehow I missed that
As to vai's father, 1) I'm not sure Arthur knows his relation to the deceased,
Well....you were in the room when I told Melody why this job was so important, and that Vai was one of my daughters. As I kind of singled her out for bringing you in without asking us first, I'm pretty sure you were paying attention to that conversation. ;)
and 2) if he would voice his objections either time he spoke on the subject, Arthur would begrudgingly drop it
So, is melody going to retcon her post? My retcon is pendin her's if she's going to have one.
What I say (and do) next will be based entirely on the above decision you two make. I'm looking forward to seeing what 'major life choices' you settle on.

The Dalesman |

Well, it has been almost eight months since that post.
Though it is also pretty easy to search folk's stuff here too, by the by - especially since I don't post much ;)
And now back to my mad scramble to watch as much of Netflix's Daredevil as I can before my wife gets home. Took too much time typing all of that ;D

You know, I think the point is a lot simpler. Invisibility, as the spell, isn't (in Pathfinder) about visible light or not. It's an illusion, or glamour to be exact. You either see through invis or not, and it's about a viewer's ability to by pass that which matters.
Now, if we were in another system, easier. Just thinking aloud.

Are you sure? The wording is vague on such,
However, one thing I believe that is covered, Albiet indirectly, is whether an invisible creature shows up on infared, they do
Light, however, never becomes invisible, although a source of light can become so (thus, the effect is that of a light with no visible source).
Infared is light,

Sorry Lyn, didn't get to join ya in the Silver Rose Company. seems I was just a little too stealth.
Hey, no worries. I was rooting for you, but I think Pat had other ideas based on what he knows is coming. Always a surprise to us poor players. :)

For clarification: the reason the wall blew up in Miss Jones' face and not the big storm thingy is that the big storm thingy is the mindscape manifestation of Djalos' powers; after all, something so massive, and being kept in check with most of Djalos' psychic energy, would appear in there. I think.
