male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

Karvok senses he has the upper hand here while he thinks this guy may normally be faster his bravado has thrown the orc off his game. So he takes advantage.

Stepping into the on coming haymaker he goes into his rage wanting to end this quick if he can.

He leads with his left and follows up with a right to the gut.

1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 141d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 101d3 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 91d3 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

(OOG: I forgot to add +2 from Crimson's song to hit and damage.)

so his first would be 16, 12 and 11 and 11 damage.

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

The Masque finishes one song and starts another.

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

Actually the Crimson Masque knows this is the Mad badger's intro music:

Mad Badger's Intro.

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

Ah, the link's broken!

Bribes always welcome

The Badger's blows are solid ones, and rock Goonsik a bit. He responds with a duo of jabs

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 131d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 141d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 61d3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

I'm assuming that's a no go

The masque is attracting an audience, and the cute(ish) orc female comes up to him

"Is that your familiar? He's adorable!"

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

[Claps his hand around Frumious's mouth]

Why, yes, isn't he adorable? The Masque gazes fondly at the Lemurian and says And he can do tricks! Fetch us some drinks, won't you, Frumious? A gin and tonic for me, and a--what will you have, my dear...?"

Bribes always welcome

The girl smiles, showing a well-armed mouth

"I'll take a banana slug margarita please!"

The Mad Badger is able to shrug off the solid hits from the champion and moves in for his own solid blows.

1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 161d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 131d3 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 121d3 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13 He is going to use his Powerful blow this time and he gets +2 DM

(OOC: His AC is 13 without his chain shirt from my calculations 10 base +3 dex bonus +2 guarded stance bonus -2 in a rage. He is currently bare chested. I think he is going to need a necklace of armor or something if he plans to do this bare chested thing alot)

The Badger misses Groonsik with his first punch, and slams his hand painfully into one of the fenceposts Merely atmosphere

His second punch is a bit off, and misses as well. Groonsik returns with a combo jab

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 261d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 221d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 61d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

The two punches rock the Badger back a few steps

Frumious returns with the drinks. Actually, he returns riding the platter of the waitress, snoring softly.

"Uhh, zhe drunks are heewe: He mumbles, waving feebly

The orc girl snickers and sits down next to the Masque

'What's your name cutter?"

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

L'chaim!

The Crimson Maque stands up and downs in his draught in one gulp. He looks over at the Badger and realizes that he has stopped his inspiring.

Kill 'im, Badger!

He then starts playing a new inspiring song.

Before he gets to the singing though, he leans in close to the fetching orc lass and whispers in her ear

My name be secret, but I am a close friend of the Little Man in the Purple, er, Green Canoe."

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

Kravok takes the hits and then comes back in swinging.

1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 321d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 151d3 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 121d3 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

Bribes always welcome

The orc lass looks puzzled at this cryptic reference LOL =D

The Badger swings and lands his blows. They stun Groonsik, and he falls to the mat, insensate. Those watching cheer.

Groonsik groans and struggles to his feet. He grins, revealing a pair of chisled lower tusks.

"You win my frined. The cash is yours. "

He groans.

"I need a drink"

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

Kravok takes a deep breath his wide crazy eyes begin to settle down. He feels the energy leave him as he lets the blood rage settle down. The wave of exhaustion over comes him like Groonsik's punches they hit him hard he staggers a moment and catches his breath.

"Good fight Groonsik. Alot of fun your drink is on me. " He waves the waitress over and grabgs up his winnings handling over a pile of coins. "We thirst get us some drinks and keep them coming then join me at my friends table over there." He grabs her around the waist and gives her a kiss. Then turning to his opponent. " Groonsik you are welcome too you fought well." As he gives him a friendly clap on the back showing no hard feelings and that it was all in the interest of the sport and competition.

He lets go of the waitress to let her get the drinks and places a friendly arm around Groonsik's shoulder as he leads him to their table.
Introducing his friend "This is my friend the Crimson Masque a teller of tales and singer of ballads and my best and most trusted friend."

Looking at his friend "Seems we have more than enough money for drinks and wenches this night. It should be a night to remember indeed. You will need to tell tales of this my friend."

Then remembering the monkey. "This is another friend we have met along the way ... Frumious or something right Masque?"

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

Sweet victory! And yes, tales to tell!

Indicates the sleeping monkey.

Yes, Frumious is his name, but it looks as if our Lemurian friend can't hold his liquor! Leads uproarious laughter. More for the rest of us, aye? More uproarious laughter.

Faith, sirs, we shall carouse till the second cock, and drink, good sirs, is the provoker of three things. Pauses dramatically.

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

The Mad Badger smiles a toothy smile. "What is best in life friend Crimson Masque as stated by our good mentor Durkal of the One-Eye? I am sure Groonsik knows this too. " He pauses for effect learning a trick or two from his bardic friend about such things.

"Crush your enemies see them driven before you and hear the lamentations of the women. Or something like like."

"But to answer your question dear friend good drink is the provoker of Tales and Tails ? Oh wait three things you said right? Brawling, Bedding and Bedlam?"

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

Close, dear Badger! Marry, sir, they are: nose-painting, sleep, and urine. Lechery, sir, it provokes, and unprovokes; it provokes the desire, but it takes away the performance. Therefore, much drink may be said to be an equivocator with lechery: it makes him, and it mars him; it sets him on, and it takes him off; it persuades him, and disheartens him; makes him stand to, and not stand to. Turns to the orc lass. But not me, I can drink all night and still rut like a stevedore!

(Apologies to Billy Shakespeare)

The tavern seems to get a bit rowdier with the fight over and the Masque hamming it up. A few orcish ales get sent to the Badger, and the orcish wench the Masque has been flirting with starts to flirt with the Badger as well

"That was quite a fight Ser! I'm Zarania, by the by. Are you two from Sigil?"

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

The Masque notices the wench's flirtation with Badger and casts unnatural lust on her (see Ultimate Magic) designating Badger as the recipient of her affections. DC 15

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

well then

The Badger is surprised when the curvy Orc female climbs into his lap

"Ooh for a halfie you're quite the looker!"

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

The Crimson Masque starts playing some new music.

Bow-chicka-bow-bow

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

The Mad Badger perhaps raises an eyebrow at his friend and gives him a toothy smile of thanks.

"I am not no ser, just call me the Mad Badger. You are quite frisky I like that, willing women."

He stands up with the woman in his arms slings her over his shoulder and looks back at the Masque. "Don't wait up for me friend. I will be a while."

He goes and drops coin on the counter for a room and takes the key and heads up stairs.

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

The Crimson Masque continues to drink and play the lute, drink and play the lute. He probably has to cast summon instrument a bunch, but it's a 0-level spell.

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

After some time has past, four hours or so. Kravok makes his way back to the common room grapping a tankard as he passes. He still has not bothered to put on his shirt or chain shirt and he wears his kilt and his brace of weapons attached as he does not go really anywhere without them. His muscled and scarred chest is glistened with sweat and there is a smile about his face.

"Ah Crimson you are still up. I would have thought you had found bed fellows by this time."

He looks about to see what else is going on in the room now.

Perception check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Kravok, the Mad (but now tired) badger traipses downstairs. It is After Antipeak, but in a large city like the Cage the taverns stay open round the clock. The clientele has gotten a little rougher, even for humanoids. Frumious is snoring gently in a dish of candied cave crickets.

The Crimson masque strums his lute lazily, with a small group of really drunk patrons surrounding him. A pile of empty tankards signify he has been well watered for his troubles

The Mad Badger sees one interesting discussion in the shadows. A tall thin human with a hooked nose and a pallid complexion studded with odd-colored moles talks furtively with a trio of mean looking orcs. The orcs are dressed in full combat gear: rune-graven swords, glowing axes, black-enameled plate, the works.

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

Hey, hey, hey! My main Badger. Was happenin', bro?

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

The Mad Badger keeps and eye on the group but does not take more interest than to make certain they don't come gunning for him and Crimson. Do they seem to take an interest when he comes down at all or with Crimson?

He smiles at his friend takes a seat and looks to a waitress to fill another tankard for him and the bard.

"Doing well. Seems you have been busy most of the night. Want another beer?"

In a lower tone. "Don't look now but see the hooked nose human in the corner with the three fully armed orcs? Best keep your wits about you and them in site. Might be nothing ... might not be we have made friends and not made friends in this town eh. Normally I might not worry but its later in the night and they are dressed for blood."

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

[Quite loudly and drunkenly]

Who, them over there? Hey, you! Yeah, you! What are you doing?

Bribes always welcome

LOL

The four had been ignoring the group, busy talking among themselves. The drunken bellow from the Masque starts the tall sallow human gentleman and makes his three orcish allies turn about. The three orcs stand up and walk over, their armor clanking

"What's it to you, berk?" The biggest and surliest-looking orc says, eyeing the Badger and the Masque. Their table companions scatter

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

facepalm

He shakes his head and mutters to himself, "Should have known better. after seeing all the empty mugs." Looking at his friend. "Crimson, please stop."

Reaching down he moves to slip his chain shirt over his head in case this leads to bloodshed as he contemplates if he should draw "PAIN BRINGER" and "QUICK DEATH" or bring out "DOOM" and lay down some heavy damage. he keeps his ears open to see if they get up to move towards them.

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

Don't you know who I am?!? I ain't no berk, I'm the motherf$~$ing Crimson Masque!!!

Staggers to his feet and casts summon instrument.

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

If he does not have the time to put his chain shirt he still stands and bars them from getting closer to his friend.

"He is deep in his cups, friend. Best be back to your own table. We have nothing here which will interest you. "

The lead orc snifffs and snickers

"Keep yer human pet on a tighter leash halfie, afore he gets you in serious dip. Yer lucky I gots better stuff to do than teach you both a lesson about being nosy."

He attempts to push Crimson down into his chair

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

"Oi, don't be starting something you can't finish friend. "

He smiles a toothy grin but has DOOM in his hands.

he will ready an action to smash this leaders head in if he trys to mess with Crimson further.

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

"Cause the Mad Badger don't f#$! around and doesn't let anyone f$@! with his friends either. So go back and play with yourselves cause you don't want to play with me and the Doom I bring."

Bribes always welcome

The three unsheathe wicked-looking greatswords

"You really want to back off halfie." The leader says in a stern tone.

The Orcsican standoff is interrupted by a shout. The bartender is surrounded by several well-armed bouncers/doormen. He points a large hammer at the group

"OI! You lot outside with your fracas!"

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

Yeah, get out of here!

Starts playing a jaunty tune.

NSFW, Badger!

I just looked up your CMD. Tsk a 17

Crimson starts talking, but the lead orc pushes him back hard into his chair. He suddenly sees a lot of flashing trails, and his stomach does a slow flip as the orcish ale he's been sucking up sloshes front to back

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

Bwaaaaaaaaaaa!

The Crimson Masque retches.

Bribes always welcome

The spray of stale ale pervades the table as Crimson barfs upon himself and the greaves of the lead orc. The burly plate-clad humanoid growls

"That tears it. Outside."

He stomps off with his two fellows, presumably to await our two heroes outside. The bartender gestures

"You lot, outside."

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

Barkeep, I'm real sorry about...bwaaaaaaaaa!

Bribes always welcome

I'm assuming the badger is on his vacation, so we will pause the action for now

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

(OOC: I am back. Sorry for the delay guys rested and relaxed some now.)

Looking to the bar tender putting up his hands.

"Can I put my armor and buckle up first? Plus I gotta clean him up before we deal with that lot."

Looking at his friend.

"Anything you can do to sober up Crimson? I may need a hand in this fight? Lesser restoration or something?

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

Well, nauseated means I can't do anything, but shiznit-faced should just add negs to my rolls which doesn't frighten me!

Meaning, what does Dungeon Monkey say?

Bribes always welcome

He says *yawn* whatevs man. Negs is cool

Male Sexy 7th-level Bard

Sickened: The character takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.

---

The Crimson Masque wipes vomit from his lips and yells I'll rip 'em to pieces with my bare hands!

male half-orc Barbarian-6th/1st Rogue

"Ah that is the spirit ... only better to use your sword or something perhaps a spell or two?

The mad Badger says as he puts on his chain shirt and buckles his weapons. He decides to go with Pain Bringer and Quick Death now that he is unlikely to one hit these guys now.
He claps his friend on the shoulder and makes his way out the frount door looking back towards the hook nosed guy and seeing if he is still around.
