Arkhos runs to stop the man by killing him before he can detonate such explosive.

WS 50 1d100 ⇒ 7
Damage Power Axe 1d10 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25E Pen 6

As the Sisters scramble to react Brother Arkhos comes bounding across the room and decapitates the rebel with one masterful blow. Blood sprays out from the stump as the body falls on its side, the detonater rolling out of its hand. There is a moment of stillness as the man next to him looks up towards the Astartes and, in a single act of defiance, picks up the detonator.

The ensuing explosion sends you stumbling back while the smaller Sisters are sent flying. Gore splashes everywhere as the majority of the rebel leadership is immediately liquified. However, as the smoke clears and you regain your senses, you see one man that has survived the explosion and stumbled through the doorway leading to the security room. He turns a corner just as you catch a glimpse of him.

It looks like Brother Arkhos' wish for a survivor among the leaders has just been granted.

Reacting to the explosion and escaping man with a speed only the Astartes can manage, Ulrich dashes out the door after the man, trying to catch him before he gets to the security room.

Initiative: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10.

Arkhos attempt to regain enough motion to send a volley of shots flying towards the traitors legs to stop his movements, but he has already turn the corner and all he can do is point and scream in anger "Stop him!" as he begins to assess the damage he has taken from the explosion.

A few other of the survivors are attempting to struggle with to their feet, drawing the attention of the Sororitas away from the escapee. Brother Hammern reacts swiftly, turning the corner to see the man dashing through the security room towards a door on the other side. You have a clear shot from here, however you are uncertain if his frail mortal frame would survive a bolter round, even if it were to strike one of his extremities.

Brother Arkhos; the damage to your armor appears to be largely cosmetic. IT would seem that the charge was designed for concussive force rather than destructive potential. Only those immediately within the blast radius were injured while the rest, like the sisters, were sent flying. Of course your armors machine spirit immediately detected the change in air pressure and compensated which, paired with your advanced physiology, left you largely unscathed.

What is the range to the running heretic scum?

Within 20m

Alright, who's doing what?

Sorry, I typed a response and was waiting to see the new message indicator. It seems to have gotten lost. I would like to have Ulrich try to take the man down by throwing his combat knife. Since it is not specifically designed for throwing, it has a range limited based on his strength bonus. Is it safe to say that Ulrich can move to the point that he is in range for the thrown combat knife before he makes the throw? If that is not possible, he will make a called shot to the man's leg and hope for the best.

You can move your half movement speed and then throw. Your range should be somewhere around 13 meters, correct?

Well, I do not have my book here with me at work, so I will have to wait for the exact till I get home, but I will update tonight.

I think I am entirely off range for that, even if I do have a very high movement, so I will just look for the survivors and tell the sisters to search the prisoners for any more surprises

Sorry it took so long. :(

Ulrich dashes forward 5 meters, drawing his combat knife as he goes. Feeling the will of the Emperor guiding his throw, he hurls the knife forward aiming for the man's thigh.

Called shot to leg, spending FP to make the attack un-dodgeable.
Ballistic Attack 50+10-20=40: 1d100 ⇒ 19 = 2 DoS.
Damage: 1d10 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 10 + 2 = 16.

Brother Hammern's knife flies true, striking the fleeing man before he even has the chance to react. The impact is enough to pick him off his feet, he lands a few meters away in a crumpled heap.

Brother Arkhos: you direct the Sisters in re-securing and then searching the remaining captives - with no small sense of satisfaction no less. You find no other weapons among the rebels. Apparently the bomb was their last ace in the hole.

Ulrich walks the rest of the way to the fallen traitor and checks him for life signs.

Your "knife" (which has more in common with a sword by normal human standards) has completed impaled the mans left thigh. The pain is likely immense, though he is in no immediate danger of bleeding out unless you were to remove your weapon and let the wound flow freely. He tries to put on a tough face as you approach though it quickly disappears as his body is wracked by another wave of pain. He ends up just lying there muttering a mixture of swears and prayers. How curious these rebels are: so brash and reckless until they have to face off against the true warriors of the Imperium; not some cowering citizen begging for mercy.

If Arkhos was another man he would butcher every single traitor in that room with extreme prejudice, but instead turns to the sisters "Well, I do see now that I must learn with the enemy within" as his obvious anger can be felt on every word, which takes him a few moments of breathing heavily to calm down before looking at Sister Adele "I thank you for your job of capturing this traitors sisters, your duty and your job was well done and there was probably no way you could have notice that scum last resort" as he walks to the corridor to find out if Ulrich was able to stop him or not "He better have answers..."

Ulrich walks up to the man and lifts him easily, holding him fully off the ground and taking care to keep the blade in the wound where it will prevent the man from bleeding to death.

As he turns back to the command room, Ulrich sees Arkhos coming around the corner into the hallway, "I have him, Brother, a little worse for wear. What shall be his fate?"

"Death is to good for him, we shall bring him with us, I am certain the sisters and Inquisition would like a word or two with him" as he then just looks down on the wretch "Rejoice, you are in time to confess for a swift death"

Ulrich nods to Arkhos as he heads back to the command center. Entering the command center, he turns to Sister Superior Adele, "Sister Superior, I have recovered your runner. I have not the medical skill to safely remove my knife. Perhaps one of you does?" As he speaks he surveys the room to see if any of the Sisters were injured.

"Confess what...?" the rebel manages to grumble before Brother Hammern drags him back to the main room. Inside some of the Sisters suffered minor injuries in the explosion, though their light powered armor saved them from anything serious.

For once Sister Superior Adele seems happy to see you Brother Ulrich. Perhaps because you just saved her from returning to the Watch Fortress with a wounded pride? Regardless, her normal icy mood is being directed at the captured runner. "I don't suppose that will be necessary" purrs Sister Adele as she looks over the prisoner with a sense of smug satisfaction "He seems to be stable for now after all. Though I do imagine you would be wanting your blade back..." Meanwhile the rebel is forced to sit in painful silence, likely knowing that any smart remarks right now would lead him to a gruesome end. Still, he can't hide the deep grimace on his face as the Sororitas speaks of him like he were some mere toy.

The rest of the Imperial agents begin preparing the remaining prisoners for transport. It looks like they are planning to move out soon.

Ulrich turns the prisoner over to the Sisters, and after a salute to the Sister Superior he nods, his voice has the sound of an unpleasant grin, "I don't like to be without my first blade. Besides, what ever would become of this heretic here if I needed it abruptly? His leg is not nearly so resilient to being cut completely in two as its proper sheath..." He lets his voice trail off as he turns to look at the rebel, staring at him with the impassive face of his helmet.

"Very well. We may as well patch up the heretic" and Adele calls over one of the other Sisters. After a few moments your knife is returned to you Brother Hammern.

Unless there is something else you wish to try and accomplish you will return to the Watch Fortress in 24 hours (from the time of this post)

I think all our objectives are finished

The Sisters corale their prisoners and then they, along with the kill-team, head for their extraction outside of the facility. Along the way you pass teams of storm troopers that are rushing past, presumably to further sour Beo for any signs of resistance.

Mere hours before the marines had been forced to sneak inside as if they were mere rats, but no longer. Now you can both hold your heads high as you pass through the massive double doors that make up the facilities entrance, knowing that your victory was absolute and without question.

Another team of Guard, this time PDF, await your arrival. They have prepared a pair of Chimera transports to ferry you, the Sisters, and the prisoners back to the Watch Fortress. They offer you the sign of the aquila as you approach, a mix of fear and wonder clearly visible on their face.

Mission Complete. AAR should be available in the discussion thread within the next day or so. Because this mission only had two marines I will be giving only 1 honorable mention.

Bump, in case anyone is interested in joining, have a few slots and timing is good for joining now if interested.

We could use a few replacement players.

Currently we have a Apothecary, Librarian, Devestator, and Tac-Marine,

We could use a tech-marine at the least.

Very interested. I'm currently rolling up a chapter of my own, the storm dragons. I'm leaning towards an assault marine.

Cool, we can work out those details when you get finished. Assault Marine is fine, but we have one and a few others for close combat with melee. Just have a second librarian coming back, but still no one to deal with tech really.

Let me know what kind of trappings, starting talents. Are you rolling for chapter or just choosing?

After developing the background a bit, the idea of a giant mechanical daemon hunting Astartes. everything presented can be changed if you don't like it.
I rolled for everything except the squad mode abilities. It is 5am right now i will post up background. What i have so far i rolled on the codex pasts (presented in Honour the Chapter because the normal blood angels seemed odd) is "+++Archive Deleted+++ You have faced the denizens of the Warp made corporeal, and though all memories of the battle were scoured from your mind, the scars you still bear pay homage to the glories you achieved."

Storm Dragons:
This is a little rough.

Advances: Daemon Bane

The Storm Dragons are a with a chapter focused on the protection of the imperium through the focused slaying of daemon princes, especially those that make themselves known in the Eye of Terror.

The Storm Dragons rule the Planet of Purphorous, A dense and fertile world with near constant tectonic activity. The Planet is extremely fertile, so fertile that it is only a few years before it is impossible to tell where an eruption occurred. The Fauna are also exceptionally fertile and grow to unreasonable proportions, including humans who exhibit a 10% larger mass than the average of humanity. The other notable resident of Purphorous is the namesake of the Chapter, Draconic creatures who thrive on a diet of Mega-fauna and sulfurous ash. Their true terror is not their size, or their fire, or even their maneuverability, It is their latent psychic ability. The Chapter Fortress is called the Hollow Flame and resides in a ancient inactive volcano.
Storm Dragons do not maintain as close of ties to their brother chapters as most others do, but have always set aid when requested, but only after requested. Storm Dragons are slow to aid others purely for the good. They often see the effort wasted as their true target escapes back into the warp, or worse, simply off world.
Storm Dragons are also well known for being willing to assign one or two of their number to various vessels who request their aid to ensure safety against warp incursion. Often this request is made specifically by the navigator and through the millennia have garnered a high degree of trust between the two groups, regardless of the house the navigator belongs to.

Are you using Blood Angels Chapter Advance table?

Mission requisition 100, post that here before you get in game. Once your done, let me know and I'll approve it all ASAP so you can join in for the action.

Bio
Legiticus, although well established in the ranks of his home, carries himself in ways not unlike a recruit. His greatest accomplishments wiped aware, awards and scars left in their place. He elected for secondment to the deathwatch in the hopes of setving his chapter with diistinction, to bring wrath to the enemies of the emperor, and to have stories to tell of his deeds firsthhand.

Despite being facinated with technology since it's introduction to him, legiticus does not feel the pull to technological purity as many of his comrades do. He strives for knowledge, certainly, and takes great joy in the wonders provided by the emperors will, but the pure thought is refused without a thought.

Ok, now i need you to put that into an alias and show where you spent your xp at each rank. What are your basic and trained skills? Please show me what your Chapter Advance table is if you custom made it or which one it is if you copied.

At first glance looks good, just need you to show your work and you'll be set. You can look at one of my Aliases or another persons in our game to see an example with spoilers and things divided. As Techmarine you get abilities that are for you, as well as additional things like talents etc, so knowing those things can be helpful to you and I don't know what you do/don't know unless you show or tell.

Guess no Alt. Ranks or anything special, just straight core?

BUMP:

Opening recruitment for DW game, starting level 5 (matching others). Any book from WH40k is welcome for PC building, including equipment and backgrounds, etc. Feel free to be creative.

Hi, just putting down a marker. Bayou suggested i move across from a thread that died. In that i had statted up a wolf scout from first founding, but i had also toyed with a White Scar apothecary. Both will need advancing from rank 1, and i am happy to play which ever would be more useful.
Bayou,do you want me to reroll stuff here? Or just bring my rolls over?
It will probably take me a week to 10 days as busy at work most of this week.

Also considering starting from scratch and making a salamander, although not sure what role. Happy to play whatever, just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what you need.

We don't have a tech-marine for sure. Not sure who else is around or who will return. Vartas our Devestator and my brother Xing are in for sure and have updated recently. Still waiting on a few others, but not sure when/if they'll update or return from Summer breaks.

Got a soft spot for Salamanders, my first DW pc and experience with DW in general.

Do what you'd like to play and be most interested in. Not sure where we are going, as people are being slow right now. Maybe they're waiting on me, but I've been busy for a few days and will push things along soon for those who are still around.

Not sure whether you rolled or point bought characteristics, so here i go.
1: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (8, 3) + 30 = 41
2: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (6, 7) + 30 = 43
3: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (4, 7) + 30 = 41
4: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (9, 5) + 30 = 44
5: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (1, 5) + 30 = 36
6: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (9, 7) + 30 = 46
7: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (5, 2) + 30 = 37
8: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (3, 9) + 30 = 42
9: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (5, 5) + 30 = 40

Reroll 5: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (10, 7) + 30 = 47

Wounds: 1d5 + 18 ⇒ (3) + 18 = 21
Fate: 1d10 ⇒ 1 =3FP

Looks pretty good. Will crack on.

Haven't rolled for armour, did you say we could choose our armour histories?

Wilhelm, The only issue I see is that you are using the same profile image that I am. ;)

LOL...yea, change up your image I'd say.

Check out the campaign tab, its a point buy, not rolls, but I'd let you keep whichever you like.

You can choose your history for armor.

Also, all books in WH40k open for equipment, background, talents, etc. The sky and your imagination are the limit, I reward creativity and encourage roleplay and PC development, so feel free to browse any DW, RT, DH, etc for building your PC. PM me or post here for anything you'd like to ask about. Welcome aboard. Glad to have you.

@Everyone:

So I awarded XP, thats there to spend. Also, no one has mentioned much for the after mission Roleplay awards for best kill, roleplay, etc, if no one else votes this week, then I'll award them based on what is suggested, no matter if its only one voice. So get your say in or just accept what other say.

Ha ha yeah, no worries this is the profile i use generally and keep characters to their specific games. Last post as this i hope. Will set up a profile tonight/tmrw although there won't be much in it to start.

Very interested. I have an Iron Hands Assault marine from a stillborn campaign that I'd like to use. He's built to 7kxp spent w 100 req atm,

Shieldbreaker also expressed interest in an Assault marine, and we already have atleast 1, so I hope you can consider another type, but its up to you, I won't say no.

Haven't heard from Zedkiel in a while, he's the Apothecary.

We have no Techmarine.

We have Devest, Tact, and Librarian.

Check out campaign tab for more info, (i'll update it if its not current).

Bring up your PC to Rank 5 XP (if you want, don't have too.)

Silver Crusade

I'd also be interested. Would have to look into concept, but most likely Imperial (or Crimson) Fist, Raven Guard, or White Scars character.

Changed to Imperial Fist Techmarine. Just about done.

GM Lari wrote:

Profile looks good. Just breakdown xp spent and some history and your good to go. I'll intro a spot for you and others to drop in later tonight.

Need to add to campaign tab, but others are aware from discussion thread, we are using errata weapon stats, so update that accordingly if you haven't already.

I updated campaign tab for new pcs. They start with 18000k xp to spend, max health and fate.

Hi this is Wilhelm Shieldbreaker's alias.
Crunch is done, but going to be wknd before i can get it up and backstory done, as RL is a bit crazy at the moment. Hope that is ok.
