Darin the Cheerful |
I guess I've climbed? Or next turn I'll climb? Sort of confused in the combat order.
Valeria Vanessa Valdemar |
Val forward as quickly as she can.
Darin the Cheerful |
Well I rolled before after the RTA, so here's the second one:Climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Using strength surge to make it up the rope.
Bash that skull in.
Unalaq |
Unalaq grins as the bear shows up behind the creature. "I think I know whose friend that is!" The exploding and entangling bombs are a welcome sight as well. The paladin just wades in with his club and begins bashing heads.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
Damage 1: 1d6 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18
Attack 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Damage 2: 1d6 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16
Attack 2 Confirm: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Damage 2: 1d6 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18
Unalaq |
After bashing the two creatures to the steps, Unalaq slaps the side of his club and growls, "That looked like it really hurt. This club is really something. You next?"
Fernus Stonecall |
Climb checks: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
Climb check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8
Fernus tries his best to climb up, but he fails each try and gets nowhere.
"I hope you guys can manage. I can't quite make it up!"
He calls up to the others.
Darin the Cheerful |
Attack (Morningstar): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Damage (Morningstar): 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Stop him! He's supposed to die!
Unalaq |
Unalaq takes his own swing at the hapless spinning creature.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Damage 1: 1d6 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16
Valeria Vanessa Valdemar |
Val continues towards the rest of the group.
Unalaq |
"You there Phooka? I think the immediate danger is past, but I'm sure more trouble lies ahead."
Fernus Stonecall |
Fernus moves after whatever fell down and tries to blast him when he sees him with a Magic Missile spell.
Magic Missile + Free Trip: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 2, 4) + 3 = 131d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32
Tarinhilliberanavius |
Tarinhil dives after the creature, mixing reagents as he does, using the extra force of gravity to help his throw as he hurls an explosive bomb, then unfurls his wings to catch air and stop his descent.
Bomb: 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 12 + 2 + 1 = 30 for 4d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 3, 5, 6) + 6 + 1 = 25 Plus, he's on fire, d6/round
Valeria Vanessa Valdemar |
Finally catching up with the 'bruisers' "Well...that seemed messy...shall we continue on our way up?"
Darin the Cheerful |
Londswords? Dang, those sound fancy as heck. So worth 500 gp each because of rarity right?
Darin will pass by the fallen people/creatures/cultists after his climb and bash each one's head (if attached) with his morningstar.
When everyone stares at him he says, I'm a man of my word. Plus they could totally have been faking.
Darin the Cheerful |
Oh no! Guchi is terrible, get Cucci - it's higher quality, like a Goach bag.
Unalaq |
"Up we go. Has anyone seen Phooka? I got a bit banged up getting to those unfriendly city sorts."
Tarinhilliberanavius |
Tarinhil says, "Well, that seals the whole connection idea. Should we go see what's at the top of the stairs? "
Valeria Vanessa Valdemar |
Val sternly nods. "Lets." A coldness has washed over her at this point.
Unalaq |
Unalaq detects evil in the room. "Messenger?"
Tarinhilliberanavius |
Tarinhil whistles, "Almost everyone I grew up with in the Brastlewark would have a fit of apoplexy if they saw the state of this mechanism... I'm half-shocked there aren't priests of Bridgh weeping in here."
MiniGM |
Everyone makes there way to the top floor
The smoky, filthy rooftops of Underbridge sprawl
below this dizzying perch. The conical roof supports
an onyx statue of an angel. Towering like a god, her
weathered features are caked with grime, making
her seem almost demonic in countenance. At the
far end of the hollow space under the roof, in the
angel's shadow, is a nest of cushions, silk sheets,
and a line of several small chests.
map updated. You do not see anything else atm. You can move wherever you would like.
Tarinhilliberanavius |
Tarinhil looks around and then shrugs, "I imagine those things were sentries, so I'm thinking there's more than just this -- but worth looking at the chests first."
Darin the Cheerful |
I see you up there! Don't pretend anyone doesn't see you, you're huge and ugly! I'm warning you I'm in a foul mood and of no mind to take any more of this nonsense so either land and let's get this over with or bugger off!
Darin will call on Cayden Cailean in the foulest language anyone has ever heard a cleric use towards his god and cast Communal Protection from Evil on the party at the top of the stairs.
Why is Bear so far below us?
Valeria Vanessa Valdemar |
Having the creature pointed out to her, she draws her dagger and slips into the shadows as best she can.
Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
While she might not realize, she thinks she has a great spot and holds her dagger at the ready.
Valeria Vanessa Valdemar |
No, I thought I had refreshed and I had not, I'll need to redo that post, good sir! My apologies!
Unalaq |
Unalaq will cast bull's strength as soon as it is clear the creature is headed our way. He will also declare a smite on the creature the same round he casts the spell. Unalaq will also add the frost quality to his club. He will cast divine favor when he estimates it to be two rounds out and activate his elemental assault with electricity when he estimates it to be one round out.
Bear aka Orlog |
At this range can anyone tell what it is?
Bear also casts Bulls Strength as well as spell immunity (dispel Magic) then looks at the creature to see if he knows what it might be.
Anyone know what "that" is? if it keeps heading this way after a round after that he casts
Resinous Skin
Sickening strike
Strong Jaw
May cast another spell if we know what it is. That's 6 rounds...should be pretty close now.
Darin the Cheerful |
Is the rooftop stone?
Unalaq |
"Some kind of demonic winged serpent, I think."
Unalaq has no Knowledge skills whatsoever :(
Tarinhilliberanavius |
Tarinhil looks at it and ponders...
Knowledge: 1d20 ⇒ 15 (33 Arcane, 28 History or 27 Nature)
...as he drinks his elixir of Bomber's Eye. And resinous skin, if there's time...
