The sound of boots crushing snow could be heard as Lars made a dash, that suspiciously looked like he was running away from their preoccupied foe, but it was when he was passed the tree that was in front of him that he made a turn and made his way to the creature's back.

Silvery metal gleamed as it came as its tip hovered over the ground by a few inches and then rose as Lars executed an ascending diagonal slash, which he quickly followed a basic vertical cut.

Lars simply raised an eyebrow at Grimkell's reply, not really understanding the reasoning behind the shorter blond's words.

On the road

"That's an inspiring speech...and I've heard plenty of those before, but yours is different" Lars placed both hands in his coat pockets "Guess it's the lack of lies, you can't have your eyes beaming like that and be bluffing at the same time" The former pirate had a slightly more serious expression on his usually neutral facade when he partially turned towards Grimkell "Don't lose that, not a lot of honestly passionate people around" His serious gaze turned into his usual merry and laid back gaze before he turned towards the road once more.

The tatzlwyrm was simply not prepared for the brawlers reaction. Most of its food flailed around helplessly, or used teeth and claw to attempt to dissuade becoming a meal. Jamarcus flips the tatzlwyrm onto his back and the startled look of shock is evident in the creatures eyes.

Might be enough to hit it if it's grappled? What lousy luck...

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

With the tatzlwyrm being more or less held in place by Jamarcus, Theora easily puts an arrow into the creature just before Lars begins hacking away. The snow is swiftly dyed with the creatures pooling blood but it still seems to have just a bit of fight left in it as it struggles unsuccessfully to break free of Jamarcus' hold and regain the upper hand.

It did not take long for Grimkell to take advantage of the fact that the wyrm was now in Jamarcus's grasp. Seeing an opportunity to strike while the monster was trying to escape the brawler's grasp, Grimkell lunged toward it, Yuln's sword describing a low arc toward the wyrms back.

Well, you would need to roll your CMB no matter what else you were doing in order to maintain the grapple. If you succeed on that grapple check, then you can do one of the listed things as a part of that action. However, in this case, you did not succeed on the grapple check!

The wriggling, serpentine like creature proves too much for Jamarcus to keep down for long and his hold over the creature is broken.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

OK, skipping Theora.

Lars slides his blade into the tatzlwyrm with ease, and finally the light in it's eyes fades and it's movement ceases.

Almost instantly the grinning man wielding the sword in battle was gone; as the blade slid into it's sheath, Lars' expression became more sober, his eyes calmer, his lips somewhere between a vague line and a small smile, his posture became more relaxed and laid back. The former pirate paid the fallen lizard some attention as he walked around it and made his way to Jamarcrus.

"Haven't seen anyone hold down a beast of that size, I am impressed" He gave the taller man a friendly pat on the shoulder "We have to see about getting some profitable...tasks once we are done here" A wicked one sided grin, aided the blond's words.

Without warning Lars unsheathed his dagger and began the task of separating the beast's hide and it's meat Doubt I'll be able to get a decent hide in this weather but it doesn't hurt to try, and the meat will help us save rations The small blade plunged into the corpse of the tatzlwyrm and Lars' eyes focused on the task at hand.

The DC on Survival for the providing food and water is 10, since you were trying to save the hide too, and because it seems so irrational to me that you wouldn't be able to get some meat from the kill no matter how crappy the roll, I'll allow you to make a second roll to attempt to get the most meat you can. Otherwise, with that roll alone you wouldn't have made it.

Much thanks for the second chance.

Grimkell wades though the snow while sheathing his sword, on his way to the wyrm, he taps Jamarcus on the shoulder

"Indeed well done! This will make for an excellent tale!"

Arriving next to the body of the wyrms, Grimkell kneels down, and looks at Lars.

"You better hurry up. We still do not know how long the kidnappers will let lady Argentea live... we should still expect the worst." he says, before drawing his dagger and giving a hand to the ranger.

He says as he shifts the dead weight of the giant reptile off his body. Jamarcus stands up, brushing the crushed snow off his cloting and fully surveys the area.

He takes in the trampled, bloodstained snow, giant dead snake-beast and two of his companions dutifully hacking at the corpse with a deep sigh.

After pinching and kneading the bridge of his nose with his eyes closed for a minute or two, he seems to have made a bit more sense with the situation and hunkers down next to his butchering companions.

The mention of profitable ventures of dubious legality puts a grin on his face.

If we don' get murdered, we gon' have a lot of fun the next time we in town

Facing Grimkell,

You plan on EATING this thing? Taste any good?

"We eat what we must" Grimkell answers, serious. "Plus, if you make a grimace, we will know that is not not taste good." he finishes, laughing.

After handing a chunk of meat for Jamarcus to carry, Grimkell extends his arm to help Lars up. Once done, he walks up to the the trail they were following, before turning toward the others. For a moment, he looks at them, appraising the energy of the group.

"Seems that we are good to go. Lars, take the lead, I'll follow you."

Group
After cleaning the blood from your weapons and hands, packing away the meat and hide that you have gathered the best you can you set out once more. The snow seems to have chased much of the wildlife that you would expect to see in these woods this time of the year away. Perhaps that is why the tatlzwyrm tried its luck with hunting your group.

-----
Zisel
After a day of wandering in the snow, you began to fear that you were lost. You are hungry, alone, and still recovering from your wounds. Although you hail from Irrisen, you have long been gone from the freezing temperatures of your home and in your weakened state the cold is reaching deep inside even the likes of you.

-----
Group
As you make your way deeper into the woods, you begin to notice oddities hanging from the trees. Feathered bundles and strange fetishes hang from the lowest branches, swaying and shifting in the wind. Each one having been bound with leather and stuck through with small pins.

-----
Zisel
A noise catches your attention, and you pause one foot held delicately above the snow midstep. You turn your head to track the source of the sound and spot a group of travelers moving through the area. Weary, you quickly hide behind a tree and watch them. The last group you ran across attacked you, and you do not even want to think about what they might have done to you if they had managed to catch you - what they were going to do to that poor woman they had tied up with them.

-----

Curious, you take a closer look at one of the fetishes as you pass by and realize that it is actually the frozen corpse of a dead crow, pierced with tiny sprite arrows - they all are.

From the shadows of the snow-covered trees, Zisel quietly watches the mismatched group as they pause to examine the oddities in the trees. She was certainly going to be more careful about who she approached after that last run in she had with those bandits.

The glare of the snow made it hard to make out exactly what was going on over there.

Sootfeather caws in dismay, flapping from Theora's shoulder to land by the dead crow, prodding at it with his beak as if to wake it. "It's no use, dearie," the aging woman sighs, shaking her head sadly. "He's with Grandmother now."

As she looks around, a movement catches the corner of her eye. She spins around, now already drawn, the arrow pointed at the woman watching them - a clear warning. "Now now, Dearie," she calls, lowering her aim slightly to point at her stomach rather than her heart. "How about you come out in the open so we can talk, mmm?"

Lars did not like this situation, not at all They don't want to be seen? Alright, I can play this game as well Wordlessly the former pirate drew his sword, ran to the closest tree and used it's wooden hide as cover from spying eyes and whatever had struck his hand.

Lars will move to the square directly under the one Grimkell is standing on, will unsheath his sword as part of that movement and use the concealment provided by the tree(is it partial or total?) to hide, I will move the icon when I get home, can't do it from my phone.

A lowered sword rose, catching the kiss of the suns rays that had broken through the gaps of the leafy shield of the trees, following the rising of arms was the descent of a shield, marching to Lars forearm to the twang the leather straps that manipulated its movements, everything was still for Lars for but a moment, his azure eyes shifted to the left then the right, before falling on the sprite close to Mirri. Wisdom Check: 1d20 ⇒ 4

[Mirri sees the creature become several creatures ad nearly loses her will to fight. Oh no, we can possibly take them all. Still, they won't let us leave either so I guess there's no help for it. She gets her crossbow handy and loads a bolt to fire at their attackers when next she gets an opening.

Game left due to change in work situation

Zisel makes a bit of an 'ew' face at the sound of tiny crunching bones as she approaches the fellow who was bare-handed squishing the little pests.

Wisdom: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19

"Crafty little devils, aren't they?" she grumbled, shaking her head. "It's merely an illusion! Don't let them fool you!"

Turning her attentions back to aiding the mismatched party, she focuses on the only member of their group in reach. "Let me help you," she says softly to Jamarcus, reaching a hand out towards him. Zisel attempts to place a hand on Jamarcus and begins to cast a spell.

Melee Touch: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

For Jamarcus on a successful touch:

Jamarcus gains a +1 competence bonus on a single attack roll, saving throw, or skill check. You must choose to use the bonus before making the roll to which it applies.

Spellcraft DC15:

guidance: +1 competence bonus on a single attack roll, saving throw, or skill check. You must choose to use the bonus before making the roll to which it applies.

I'm not sure if Jamarcus would let her touch him, seeing as she's a random lady from the woods where a bunch of attacking fairies popped out of, so I left my touch roll there in case he wouldn't just stand there and casually let her cast things on him. Feel free to purposefully lower your guard and let her do it if you wish :P I've also left a spellcraft check if anyone wants to verify what she's trying to do to Jamarcus.
