Weird - I have another DM that uses Photobucket for maps and I can't view the last image s/he uploads, either. On your account, I can see everything else I'm supposed to, but that most recent upload is just a gray box. I can see it in the preview below, but I can hardly use that to make an informed decision.
Y'all figure out where we are going, Edrukk will be right there with you!

To let you know, we are packing up our bicycles for few days on a rail-to-trail in Iowa. I don't know how much Internet access we will have over the next week, so please don't let Edrukk hold things up - please feel free to take actions on his behalf. Have a great Memorial Day (if you are in the States) and a great week (wherever you might find yourself)!

Apologies for being away for a while, had an operation and took a week or so off the boards as part of the recovery period. Really helped get a bit more relaxed and ready to start again.
At a CrispyCon Chew June 7-9th, so nothing from me then either.
1st day of CrispyCon and I ran Day of the Demon (twice) and Drow of the Darklands Pyramid. I am knackered. Tomorrow is Fabric of Reality and Kortos Envoy!

Big thanks to Mrs Crispy and Carol for a great weekend. One day I'll have a character of high enough level to play in one of your deadly games Crispy ... :)
I sure hope to see you at my table! I would love to kill your....urm I mean have you at my table. I tend to run the high level stuff as not a lot of other GM's want the headache.

We've done several without. As long as you know where we are on your local copy, I'm fine with playing by description.
In case it's not obvious, the dwarf is thinking to get behind the follower so that he's surrounded in the alley. I don't know what sort of roll that would require for certain, but I'm find with you rolling it to move us along.

You'll want the level of magic bonus in case it's high enough to override a special DR, I think.
Edrukk's sword is merely +1 enchanted, by the way. I'll try to remember to include that in future dice descriptions.

Yeah, depending on the enchantment. My +1 won't overcome anything but magic, of course.

Yep. If their DR is (most likely) silver, then only silver weapon damage will overcome the DR. A +3 weapon is considered cold iron/silver for overcoming DR. Energy damage is not blocked by DR.
Damage Reduction
Some magic creatures have the supernatural ability to instantly heal damage from weapons or ignore blows altogether as though they were invulnerable.
The numerical part of a creature's damage reduction (or DR) is the amount of damage the creature ignores from normal attacks. Usually, a certain type of weapon can overcome this reduction (see Overcoming DR). This information is separated from the damage reduction number by a slash. For example, DR 5/magic means that a creature takes 5 less points of damage from all weapons that are not magic. If a dash follows the slash, then the damage reduction is effective against any attack that does not ignore damage reduction.
Whenever damage reduction completely negates the damage from an attack, it also negates most special effects that accompany the attack, such as injury poison, a monk's stunning, and injury-based disease. Damage reduction does not negate touch attacks, energy damage dealt along with an attack, or energy drains. Nor does it affect poisons or diseases delivered by inhalation, ingestion, or contact.
Attacks that deal no damage because of the target's damage reduction do not disrupt spells.
Spells, spell-like abilities, and energy attacks (even nonmagical fire) ignore damage reduction.
Sometimes damage reduction represents instant healing. Sometimes it represents the creature's tough hide or body. In either case, other characters can see that conventional attacks won't work.
If a creature has damage reduction from more than one source, the two forms of damage reduction do not stack. Instead, the creature gets the benefit of the best damage reduction in a given situation.
Overcoming DR: Damage reduction may be overcome by special materials, magic weapons (any weapon with a +1 or higher enhancement bonus, not counting the enhancement from masterwork quality), certain types of weapons (such as slashing or bludgeoning), and weapons imbued with an alignment.
Ammunition fired from a projectile weapon with an enhancement bonus of +1 or higher is treated as a magic weapon for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. Similarly, ammunition fired from a projectile weapon with an alignment gains the alignment of that projectile weapon (in addition to any alignment it may already have).
Weapons with an enhancement bonus of +3 or greater can ignore some types of damage reduction, regardless of their actual material or alignment. The following table shows what type of enhancement bonus is needed to overcome some common types of damage reduction.
DR Type Weapon Enhancement Bonus Equivalent
cold iron/silver +3
adamantine* +4
alignment-based +5
* Note that this does not give the ability to ignore hardness, like an actual adamantine weapon does
I thought (could be wrong) that Broccan could be making two attacks with the punches rather than just one. I thought Sanstree provided two to each melee PC.....

Or take the standard ugly two-weapon fighting penalties for someone without the feat, I would guess.

Canvy's weapon is just an ordinary weapon, so just let me know if it does any damage. Is there a knowledge check Canvy can make about these creatures? I assume that the combat is soundless.

I forgot about the silence effect. Edrukk would move back as far as necessary to perform the verbal component of his spell. That would trigger an AoO from the rat he struck if it is more than a 5' step..

A dart would be unlikely to do enough damage to get through the damage reduction. A greatsword does a little more damage - and Edrukk's kind of single-minded. ;-)
